How remote/local mode for GPIB instruments works?

Remote/local mode for GPIB instruments is being controlled by REN one of five interface management lines. That's the only information available on this subject. Where can I find some more detailed explanation? I still don't know what conditions have to be met to put device in remote/local mode.

REM indicates whether or not the board is in the remote state. REM is set whenever the Remote Enable (REN) GPIB line is asserted and the GPIB board detects that its listen address has been sent either by the GPIB board or by another Controller. REM is cleared whenever REN becomes unasserted, or when the GPIB board as a Listener detects the Go to Local (GTL) command has been sent either by the GPIB board or by another controller, or when the ibloc function is called while the LOK bit is cleared in the status word.
A call to the function ibonl clears the following bits:

I am having problem with getting ie10 to set ie9 compatibility for a single site (sharepoint.contoso.com).
When I add this website in Compatibility View Settings (Alt > Tools > Compatibility View Settings > 'Add this Website') it adds the domain 'contoso.com' and not the individual website (sharepoint.contoso.com).
This cause other sites (www.contoso.com) to be configured to use compatibility mode. Because this is a separate site (different web server) to the site sharepoint.contoso.com (sharepoint 2010 server) we need different compatibility settings.
Using a different example to explain the issue -
Microsoft has three websites that are different websites created by different developers written in different programming languages and they only work with certain browsers.
microsoft.com (Website1 created by Developer1) - compatible with ie8/ie9/ie10
msdn.microsoft.com (Website2 created by Developer2) - compatible with ie8/ie9
technet.microsoft.com (Website3 website created by Developer3) - compatible only with ie10
The only thing the three website share is the URL contains 'microsoft.com'.
Marking 'msdn.microsoft.com' to run in compatibility mode affects the other 2 websites - mainly technet.microsoft.com which will not work now since it only runs in pure ie10 mode.
Should you be able to add an individual site to the compatibility list instead of all sites that have .microsoft.com in the URL? Am I missing a simple setting in the ie10?
As a workaround I am using the F12 Developer Tools to set the Browser Mode which temporary sets the compatibility mode. However this is not a nice solution to the end users at our organisation.

Oh! I wrote it wrong: I should have said: This is not solved for NON-AD environments. No demands what so ever to use Window 7/8 professional in a small corporation or on a big corporation with Island of smaller departments for example offshore.
The problem is that the thread is not "Answered" by the OP, its is marked answered by a moderator (and same moderator that did the answer) so no way of telling if the OP is satisfied.
But you are right in the fact that I am almost kidnapping the thread. But a complete answer would benefit all in this case I would presume.

GO to the tramsformations of your DSO..
In the Rule Group..Click on any key Figure..
this pops u a window..in which u will find AGGREGATION ..Then u can select Either OVERWRITe or SUMMATION which suites ur requirement..

That can be done by using Windows Regedit feature. It is imperative that you make a copy of the registry before you commit to the change.
Use regedit with extreme care. All changes that you make take place instantly. That is why it is critial to have made a copy .

How to enable workprotect mode for unsaved data

Hi,
I am trying to enable workprotect mode for unsaved data and the reason is after entering hours in Record Working Time If the user navigates to other screen ,all the data entered in time is getting lost.
For enabling the Workprotect mode I did the following things
1.Go to system admin -> system config ->service config->Applicaitons ->com.sap.portal.epcf.loader
Change workprotect.mode.default to 2
Restart the config by right clicking on com.sap.portal.epcf.loader . Click Administrate ->restart
and
2.Opened the Personalise option from Masthead and selected workprotect mode and selected
Choose action in popup on unsaved data
But still it doesn't work.
What is missing here

How to balance core useage for vsti instruments

I have read the Apple bulletin on this but was unable to duplicate it successfully. I would like to create a template for live use where I can load up Omnisphere and Trillian (or Stylus, or....) and each use their own core.
I noticed that Logic would just use a single core for all the loaded instruments (one suggested that Logic would automatically balance which it didn't). I tried rerouting the instances to their own buses (using the Apple support page technique)- but it didn't work either.
Is this possible- as I would like an option to maximize core useage in live situations and avoide the dreaded zipper effect when it maxes a single core.

Logic handles the core distribution, based on a combination of things. You cannot choose which core to run which channel strip on.
Anything in Live mode will be forced to run on one core - if you are playing all those instruments at once, they will all be in live mode and therefore bunged together according to how Logic wants to handle things.
if you aren't playing them all together, it doesn't matter which core they are running on so much as only the instrument you are playing is using a core.
For Live situations, does Mainstage handle this better? I would assume it's pretty much the same as Logic as it uses the same audio engine, but you never know, as it's optimised to playing multiple instruments together...

Hi I've got Toshiba notebook Equium series and recently I had to reinstall my Windows Vista.
And now my CD-ROM is very noisy when read data from CD and the whole notebook is shaking.
I remember that when I both it there was some option to put it in quite mode.
I've download some firmware from this site but it was for different CD-ROM.
So I'll be very grateful if some one tells me how to make it quite again.

On my Satellite L300 I use the Acoustic Silencer and I like it. If I watch a DVD or listen music from CD I set the quiet mode.

How to force Display mode for screen

I am pretty new to enhancements and this is probably an easy question:
I have implemented an enhancement that does a security check for a specific business area.
If the user is of a specific business area i want them to be able to edit the screen. (done)
but if they are of another area i only want them to be able to view the screen.
I am just not sure how to lock them to display only mode.

Hi Jason,
in the PBO of the screen you can set all INPUT = 1 field to to INPUT = 0 using LOOP AT SCREEN.
But be careful, you will also disable all active buttons in the screen.

How To Active/Passive Mode for FTP Adapter?

For one of our adapters we need to communicate with a FTP server which only accepts FTP connections in active mode. It seems that Xi uses by default the FTP passive mode.
The question is; is it possible to switch to the active mode? and How to do that?
Any feedback is appreciated.

MAX crashes when scanning for gpib instruments

MAX closes without comment when I attempt to scan for instruments with a tektronix TDS3014B scope attached. This problem does not occur with other instruments.

I've tried scanning for instruments with the TDS3014B being 1) the only instrument connected, 2) one of many instruments connected and 3) not being one of the instruments connected. The scan causes MAX to crash in cases 1 and 2 but succeeds in case 3. I tried scanning with the TDS3014B connected on different computers and MAX does not crash. I attached the ni reports for those computers. I do not have another TDS3014B available to try. When scanning case 2 some of the other intruments connected are the HP8920, Agilent E3632A and Agilent E8257C, but I don't think having other instruments connected matters since case 1 causes the crash also.

I am having trouble with keynote for the ipad. I can not get the presentation to stop playing and return to the keynote app. I have tried everything from exiting out of the app to restarting the ipad.

Touch the left side of the iPad to bring up the slides then select the last slide. Go back to presentation mode and swipe right like going to the next slide and it will exit presentation mode.
