How's the new iPhone?
I want to buy an iPhone 5, but with all the problems I have read so far, is there a lot of you guys that experience these problems? How are your iPhones? Thanks for your insights :)
I have the same problem - updates are stuck on loading, and the app store is now also doing the same. I've tried resetting, but it hasn't made any difference.
I haven't been able to load iTunes onto my computer - 2 hours on the phone with Apple, as well as 4 hours of my IT guy's time (which I paid for) and no one could help. So going through iTunes on the computer is not an option for me.
Is there any way of cancelling or resetting the apps just with the phone?
Have had the phone for 6 months and this is the first time it's happened, but it's been stuck like that for about a week. Now I can't update or load any apps.

That would be a NO.. I should have done my homework before I switched to IPhone because the Bluetooth just does not want to sync with my Ford Truck. Its such an inconvience. But I see from other posts that Ford isn't the only car experiencing problems. So Hopefully Apple fixes this problem QUICKLY!

i just purchase the new iphone 4s. I also have an old ipod with a lot on songs which are not on my itunes becasue i didn't do a file transfer when i got my new computer a ew months ago. How can i add my songs from the old ipod to my itunes.

Hi - I've brought my iphone 5 but cant seem to download my music from my itunes account onto it. I've downloaded the latest version of itunes as i heard this could be a problem but still no joy. The phone tries to sync when i plug it all in to the pc and even has the capacity bar showing about 12gb of audio but there is still nothing downloaded onto the phone.
The only thing i can see that might be causing the problem is that when i go into my itunes account it doesn't show that the iphone 5 is an option is the 'managed device' section but i dont know how i can add the new iphone 5 to this....
Can anyone please advise me on what to do ?

You should be able to see two different tabs when setting up the email if you go to Other > Add Mail Account. Once you enter in the email address and password, you should be at the next screen to provide more details about the email as far as incoming and outgoing servers and at the top there will be a blue section to add it in as a POP or IMAP email account. I have just bought a new iphone 4 as an upgrade to my iphone 3GS. How can I transfer all my apps including saved levels in games etc. and data and folders to the new iphone 4 and keep facetime etc on the new iphone 4. When I have done this for someone else they got all their data etc but lost the Face Time App and teh iphone 4 looked like the iphone 3 screen.
There is no FaceTime app for the iphone, FaceTime is built into the iOS. Follow the directions here:

But now when I want to add songs, I get itunes message of death that the new iphone is synced to another computer and now wants to erase everything. Yes, I was aware of this but the phrase "Any items imported from audio CDs or acquired from other sources will not copy from your device to the iTunes library." is what worries me. Will this eliminate my Notes, Calendar Events, etc or will it apply mostly just to the music?

How can I transfer music from my old iphone 4 to the new iphone 5S without having the music on the old phone synced to my laptop (e.g. my itunes library on the laptop is empty) ?
I tried the "Transfer Purchases" option - however this only worked for apps - not sure if I'm missing some sort of setting.
I do not want to use iCloud as I do not have enough space for my music.

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase your device. Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your device was new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.

Be aware that photos should always be synced to a computer for archiving and that relying on a restore from an icloud backup may not return all (or any) of your photos. Once on the computer, you can sync the photos to the new device...
