How SAP HR Handles dummy clock in/out time data?

Dear all,
I have a question whether SAP HR has the function to handle dummy clock in/out time data.
The scenario is like this:
For an employee, his
daily work schedule: 8:00 to 17:30,
break time for meal: 12:15 to 13:00.
Employees always have dummy clock in/out time events. For example, when an employee arrives the company, he clocks at the first floor at 7:45, after he arrives fourth floor (his workplace), he forgets whether he has clocked in or not, then he will clock at the fourth floor at 7:50 again. Assume this employee is very muddle-headed and repeats this mistake many times a day, then his clock in/out event may become:
7:45, 7:50, 12:15, 12:17, 12:50, 12:59, 17:35
Assume all the time events are entered to SAP, then the time pairs will be formed like:
In        out        work hours
7:45  -  7:50        0
12:15 - 12:17        0
12:50 - 12:59        0
17:35 - ???          No clock out
Then this employee will be in trouble for that day.
We can know that in the above clock events, 7:50, 12:17, 12:59 are dummy ones. If the SAP HR can compare with the daily work schedule and remove them before time evaluation, then there will not be problem.
Could anybody advise on this issue? Thanks a lot.

hi SH WU
You need to create a rule in schema to handle only the first and last entries.
IF they are supposed to be swipeed only twice then you can create constant in t511k and set the start time and end time and compare them and process.......

  • To find out how SAP is handling language support in the standard product.

    Hi All,
i have one issue like "To find out how SAP is handling language support in the standard product". Any body have the solution, please send me as soon as possible.
i am very thankful to you all in advance.
    Thanks & Regards,

It would be easier to send a solution if you'd clearly defined the problem!.
SAP is built to be multilingual.
For ABAP development, to ensure that your code is able to be multilingual, you should not hard code any text that the users could see - you should instead use text elements, standard texts, OTR, message classes etc.

    Hey floridiansue,
Do you have an installed email program such as Microsoft Outlook?  If your email is through an online login, such as Gmail, etc, then one will have to create an email association with a program such as Microsoft Outlook on the PC for this Scan to Email system to function.

  • How can I fix/reset a constantly out-of-date update?

There's an update, (doesn't really matter which one), which claims to be out of date.  So I update it.  And then... it claims to be out of date again.
How can I clear/reset/fix this?  Is there a database somewhere of these things that I could clear out manually?

I think I found the problem here and there is no solution from Apple.
The problem is that the update in question is broken.  It uses inconsistent file names with respect to case, so on case sensistive file systems it always appears out of date.  This is just grossly insufficient QA on Apple's part and should never have been released as is.
But, of course, there's no going back to rerelease it now so we're just screwed on this one.

  • How to mark a HTML page as "Out of date"

    Hello!
I need a method to prevent the usage of the Back button in web browsers by my web users, and prohibit them to move back through old web pages. During this moving they should view "Page out of date" messages instead of old contents of previous pages.
How can I do it? Any ideas, links, samples are welcomed!
    Thanks a lot!
    Alex

One way to get unathorized access to a web application is the usage an old stolen application's web page. My task to prevent it. An old web page may contains some hidden fields with encrypted keys, or other protection data.
We should analize this info each time on the server side to distinguish an old (may be stolen) page, and the new (from a valid user) one.
But the usage of such kind protected pages is complex enough. To reduce this complexity I just want to mark all web pages as "expired". Then my users will see "Page out of date", when they try to get back to old pages in browsers. They cannot view "a valid old page" at all using browsers (they will get only the "Page out of date" page), and, concequently, they cannot send to my server requests using old links, and old protection keys. Any old data my be stolen data only using this way.
In this case the protection algorithm on the server side is simplified. Now I have only one valid page in my application (the latest page).
To expire the web page we should
    1) create the HTTP header like this:
    HTTP/1.1 200 OK
    Date: Fri, 30 Oct 1998 13:19:41 GMT
    Server: Apache/1.3.3 (Unix)
    Cache-Control: max-age=3600, must-revalidate
    Expires: Fri, 30 Oct 1998 14:19:41 GMT
    Last-Modified: Mon, 29 Jun 1998 02:28:12 GMT
    ETag: "3e86-410-3596fbbc"
    Content-Length: 1040
    Content-Type: text/html
    2) provide on the server side some functionality to prevent just
    regeneration.
My question was about samples, or ideas on this way to protect web apps for XE.
It may be very useful, because I cannot find a legal way to use HTTPS (SSL) with XE.
    Thanks!

  • How best to handle Outgoing Checks during DTW initial data import?

    Hi Experts,
    This is the situation:
Old client system does this - anytime they post an outgoing check it reduces the Vendor owed balance.
For example Old Client system has Vendor1 owing 150 dollars (Vendor A/P balance) with two outstanding A/P invoices for 100 dollars and 50 dollars. On their old system, when they pay off one of the invoices say for 50 dollars, the A/P owed balance reduces to 100 dollars.
I would like to import above data in to SAP B1 now.
I shall import open invoice 1 for 100 dollars. The BP's (Vendor1) A/P balance will get bumped to owing 100 dollars. Which is OK.
I now want to import the ougoing check. How do i do that? If I import outgoing check against the BP, it will further reduce the Vendor1 owing balance to 100-50=50 dollars.
Note: I noticed there is a flag (in Banking->outgoing payments->Checks for payment - OCHO, creadteJDT). I suppose using the above flag will not post the journal entries that credits the bank and debits the vendor again.
Also, I suppose I use the templates OCHO and CHO1 for outgoing check payments. Does this create link BP and show the check in outgoing checks for payment or only external reconciliation remains to be done?
Please advise. Thanks for your help.

    Hi Rahul,
If the invoice is fully paid, our client does not want to import closed out invoices. However, that vendor and fully paid invoice may have a check sent out which they want to import and associate with the BP (Vendor).
They want to import only unpaid and open invoices as summary invoice to get the A/P payable up to date for that vendor.
Yes, this is also possible, the invoice may be partially paid out in which case, only the open amount on the invoice and the non-reconciled check needs to be imported.
Are the above two situation a normal practice and can they be done?
    Thank you.

  • How do you handle and distribute huge amounts of data?

I've got about 315 channels and will be collecting data at about 1300 Hz.  Data collection will last about 3-4 minutes.  I'm at a loss on how to distribute the data to researchers for evaluation.  These researchers will not have LabView or any other NI software to use.  I've tried the TDM stuff, and the add-in for excel 2007 but the files are just too large for excel to handle in a timely manner.  It took just over three hours to open one of my test files.  Anybody have any suggestions on how to manage and distribute files this large?

I'll be curious to see if Jamal Lewis's yardage improves for you guys this year after having some definite dropoffs with us the last couple.
Though now that he's not playing against you,  your defense's numbers against the run should improve.
I'd be surprised if you could get that data to the researchers at all using Excel.  It has a limit of 256 columns and 65536 rows.  If you had a column per channel and a row per data point, you'd be talking 315 columns and 312,000 rows for 4 minutes of data.  I guess you could always break it up into several files being sure to leave some rows and columns to give them a chance to do some data calculation.
Out of curiosity, I created a spread sheet where every cell was filled with a 1.  It took a good 30 seconds to save and was over 100 MB.  That was probably about 1/10 of the amount of data your dealing with.  And going back to my earlier calculations, I would guess that as a text file, that much data would need about 10 bytes per value thus getting you to about 1 GB in text files.
I would ask them what kind of software they will use to analyze these files and what format they would prefer it in.  There are really only 2 ways to get it to them, either ASCII text file which could be very large, but would be the most flexible to manipulate.  Or a binary file, which would be smaller, but there could be a conflict if they don't interpret the file the same way you write it out.
I haven't used a TDM file add-in for Excel before.  So I don't know how powerful it is, or if there is a lot of overhead involved that would make it take 3 hours.  What if you create multiple TDM files?  Let's say you break it down by bunches of channels and only 20-30 seconds of data at a time.  Something that would keep the size of the data array within the row and column limits of Excel.  (I am guessing about 10 files).  Would each file go into Excel so much faster with that add-in that even if you need to do it 10 times, it would still be far quicker than one large file?  I am wondering if the add-on is spending a lot of time figuring out how to break down the large dataset on its own.
The only other question.  Have you tried the TDMS files as opposed to the TDM files?  I know they are an upgrade and are supposed to work better with streaming data.  I wonder if they have any improvements for larger datasets.

  • Auto recording of clock in/out time

    Hi all,
my client has this requirement of recording time based on auto clock in and out. E.g. when employees start work for a specific order, they just need to "inform" the system that the work has started and ended, system will auto capture the system time and populate the number of hours spend on a specific order. Is this possible in CATS?  Pls enlightened me. Thanks.
    Regards
    Et.

    Hi,
Since this is a Custom requirement and you want the user to manually enter it in system that they have started work you should get a customization done from ABAP and bring the same interface into the portal where the user as soon as he/she enters can punch into the system and out of the system manually.
You can ask ABAP to make a program for the same and i am sure this will help.
this functionality is not possible through CATS.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • How to use an external clock to acquire analog data?

I need to acquire dta using an external clock which has a variable frequency (in a small range). I am using a PCMCIA 6062 board. Does it accept external clok?

The 6062 can acquire data based on an external clock. If you are programming in LabVIEW, take a look at the shipping example called Cont Acq&Graph ExtScanClk.vi. If you are using C or VB, there are examples in the NI-DAQ/Examples folder.

  • How to automate handling of dimension members? (master data loads)

    Hi,
We want our users to be able to upload master data (i.e. dimension member data) from a flat file. It is only possible to upload transactional data from a flat file via the Data Manager...
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Peter

    Hi Peter,
    1.  use BULK INSERT to load the flat file into SQL SERVER and automate using the SQL job or Windows schedule job. Then call the AdminTask_MakeDim package in DM. This is also be scheduled in BPC DM.
You can also use SSIS packages to load flat file data into the SQL SERVER table.
    2. SSIS packages are not complex, you should know to use it. Basically have learnt using these SSIS packages after started working in BPC Datamanager.  You can find various online tutorials on SSIS packages.
    Flow of data should be:
Flat file - staging table in BPC database - copy from staging tbale  to mbr<dimension> table - Admintask to process Dimension.
The structure of staging table should be identical with mbr<dimension> table  or mbr<dimension> table should be a subset of Staging table.
To schedule the BPC - DM packages:
Open the eDATA menu - 'Run Package' window. You have a option of 'New automation', use that to create schedules on SSIS packages (can be used for both BPC standard packages and customized packages).
    hope it helps.
    Hi Sam,
You can try by VBA into EXCEL, prepare the dimension member sheet and process. Basically it depends on our knowledge / ease on technology .
I never had a chance to try on this. By visualising, this is possible but  ensure on the data type loading into the EXCEL.
example, CompCode is 0310, while loading into EXCEL load as 310... omit the 0 in the front.
Try and share with us how it works.
    Cheers

  • What is a stage databse? where it exists and how it is handled?

    Hi,
I am looking for the details about the stage database.
    My concerns are:
    1. Details about the stage database.
    2. What is its significance?
    3. Where exactly it exists?
    4. How to interact/handle that? Fetching of the data from it.
    Regards
    Amit

    Hi Amit  ,
    Activities
To copy the database, you have to define the name of the new database home directory (of the database copy) in the init<DBSID>.sap profile parameter new_db_home  (for local disks) or stage_db_home (for remote disks). Also set the parameter backup_dev_type to disk_copy|disk_standby|stage_copy|stage_standby or call up BRBACKUP with the relevant command option, for example, brbackup -d|-device disk_copy.

  • Duplicity in clock-in/out corrections

    Hi experts,
When i try to contabilizate new clock-in/out and the user is locked, i receive a message telling me that the data has been saved correctly, but that's not true, because if i go to the trx pa30, infotype 2001, i don`t have new clock-in/out corrections saved.
Later i unlock the user and modifu the hour of the first clock-in/out correction (i.e. 8:00 to 8:02) and i pass to review an save the new data. When i turn back to the clock-in/oot corrections screen, i see a strange efect. The initial clock -in/out correction (8:02) appears four times and in R/3, i have the same clock-in/out correction four times repeated too.
The SP in portal and R/3 is the last.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards.

    Dear Victor,
The Clock In/Out application, data is stored temporarily in a table before they are posted in the infotype. When you created the ClockIn four times, it was saved in the intermediate database. Thats when the application gave the information that 'Your data has been saved'. At a later point of time these data are considered for posting in the infotype when the report RPTCORPOST runs. If the pernr is locked, the postings will not happen and the records will be in the status 'ERROR'. On the next run of the RPTCORPOST will consider the 'error' records also for posting. If the pernr is unlocked this time, the data will be posted in the infotype.
I hope this clarifies your doubt.
    Regards

  • Long Lead Out Times!!!!! Help

Anyone know how to cut down on writing lead-out times with dvd-studio pro 4
Took about 7 min for a 30 sec clip

The reason that the shorter the clip is, the longer the lead out is because of what I posted earlier. The dvd spec requires a gig minimum of data/content. Not all burners/burning applications will hold true to that spec, so some might not experience the longer lead out times (which is the burning application adding dummy padding data to fill the gig up). If you are using media, then that type is 'approved' by the dvd consortium; and typically is the type of media that will result in the long lead out times (complying to spec). Depending on the speed of the media and burner, 7 minutes would be about right for 1 gig (since the 30 sec clip wouldn't take up much by itself).
If you use media (not 'officially approved by the dvd forum), then it's basically looked at as a data disc, and generally don't end up having the padding data added on; and hence they burn quicker.

  • How SAP handles AFS Third Party Orders in ECC system?

    Hi All,
There is a user exit EXIT_SAPLJ3AM_003 which exist in 4.6C version of SAP for AFS.
This user exit is for Third Party order processes. This is called within the include LJ3AMFD1 of the main program SAPLJ3AM.
But this User exit is missing in ECC version of SAP for AFS.
Basically when the Dierct ship Sales Order is created, corresponding PR is created for it and using this User exit certain fields in this corresponding Purchase Requisition is filled from Sales Order but this user exit is missing in ECC system.
Could anyone please let me know how SAP handles the Third party Orders in ECC AFS system?
