How service Provider Provide MPLS different level of Class of Service!!!

Hi Team,
Most of the time Service provider says that they can provide any class of service and any level (CoS1 to N)...On a global setup, how Service Provider Core is being provisioned to provide this kind of scalability and redundancy...I am interested in mainly the core Cloud of Service provider not the PE...Any docs or link will be of gr8 help...Service provider will no away running 50% of their capacity and provide redundancy..So there should be some tweking which allow them to Provide different level of SLA..How need to know..
Thanks in advance..
With best regards,
Mani

1) Irrespective of how many ever COS they are providing/selling for the Customer at the Edge most SP will have only 4 to 5 major classes in the core, and the SLA provided on DSCP,COS,PREC are merged into these super classes where they map to.
2) The question of BW of 50% this is subjective to each SP, just like you have a pipe of 1 gig for Internet in what ratio would you sell this BW is subjective to each SP. SImilarly when you provide SLA with certain guranteed uptime, the bandwdith availability during backup is considered and the its generally sold in the same ratio.
If the ratio at which the BW is sold at the edge, exceeds the available 50% during failure, then olny your upper higher priority classes get tranmistted. But this is seldom recommended.

  • How to concatenate Member_caption in different level using mdx

hi I am using the mdx below to get the list of ParameterCaption which will be used to populate a dropdown list inside SSRS
    WITH MEMBER [Measures].[ParameterCaption]  AS [Checkoutdate].[Year-Week].CURRENTMEMBER.MEMBER_CAPTION
    MEMBER [Measures].[ParameterValue] AS  [Checkoutdate].[Year-Week].CURRENTMEMBER.UNIQUENAME
    MEMBER [Measures].[ParameterLevel] AS [Checkoutdate].[Year-Week].CURRENTMEMBER.LEVEL.ORDINAL
    SELECT {[Measures].[ParameterCaption], [Measures].[ParameterValue], [Measures].[ParameterLevel]} ON COLUMNS ,
    [Checkoutdate].[Year-Week].ALLMEMBERS on ROWS
    FROM [OrderCube]
    The result is below:
    ParameterCaption      ParameterValue
    ParameterLevel
    All [Checkoutdate].[Year-Week].[All]
    0
    2008 [Checkoutdate].[Year-Week].[Year].&[2008]
    1
    23 [Checkoutdate].[Year-Week].[Week Of Year].&[23]&[2008]
    2
    24 [Checkoutdate].[Year-Week].[Week Of Year].&[24]&[2008]
    2
    25 [Checkoutdate].[Year-Week].[Week Of Year].&[25]&[2008]
    2
    26 [Checkoutdate].[Year-Week].[Week Of Year].&[26]&[2008]
    2
    27 [Checkoutdate].[Year-Week].[Week Of Year].&[27]&[2008]
    2
    28 [Checkoutdate].[Year-Week].[Week Of Year].&[28]&[2008]
    2
    1. What I wanna do is to remove ALL from the ParameterCaption
    2. I want to concatenate Year to Week so that dropdown list will show 200823 instead of 23 for the week 23 in 2008. Notice
that Year and week are in different Parameter Level...
    3. After concatenation, I only want to show ParameterCaption with ParameterLevel = 2 in the dropdownlist.
    Any ideas? thanks
--Currently using Reporting Service 2000; Visual Studio .NET 2003; Visual Source Safe SSIS 2008 SSAS 2008, SVN --

    Hi Cat_ca,
In your query, you use [Checkoutdate].[Year-Week].ALLMEMBERS on ROWS which will return all levels members, so you get All level. In order to remove All and only show Parameter Caption with Parameter Level = 2 in the dropdown-list, you can use the query [Checkoutdate].[Year-Week].[Week
    Of Year].MEMBERS
Besides, you want to concatenate Year to Week so that dropdown list will show 200823 instead of 23 for the week 23 in 2008, then you can use the calculation like below.WITH MEMBER [Measures].[YearWeek]
    AS
    [Checkoutdate].[Year-Week].CURRENTMEMBER.PARENT.NAME+[Checkoutdate].[Year-Week].CURRENTMEMBER.NAME
So in your scenario, please try the query below.
    WITH MEMBER [Measures].[YearWeek]
    AS
    [Checkoutdate].[Year-Week].CURRENTMEMBER.PARENT.NAME+[Checkoutdate].[Year-Week].CURRENTMEMBER.NAME
    MEMBER [Measures].[ParameterLevel]
    AS
    [Checkoutdate].[Year-Week].CURRENTMEMBER.LEVEL.ORDINAL
    SELECT {[Measures].[YearWeek],[Measures].[ParameterLevel]} ON 0,
    [Checkoutdate].[Year-Week].[Week Of Year].MEMBERS ON 1
    FROM
    [OrderCube]
    Hope this helps.

  • How to provide Responsiblity level security in OBIEE 11g

    Hi all,
Can any one tell me how to provide the responsibility level security in OBIEE 11G.

    Hi,
You need to create group of users and then apply filters over that groups.
you should establish an additional filter for group1 (user1 belongs to group1 in your example). Follow next steps:
    - Manage -> Security...
    - Groups -> click right group1 and select propierties.
    - Select button 'Permissions...'
    - Select tab 'Filters' -> add new filter.
    - On the column name select the metric you need filter, in your example, customer sales. On the column 'Business model filter' put table.division=division1
you should add the Customer table to your Sales-fact LTS add apply the filter to this combined LTS as well

  • Reporting at different levels in a Hierarchy

    Hi,
How can I report at different levels within a hierarchy? Currently within SAP and BW I have levels 1 to 7, however currently I have to go through level 1 to see any information.
Please let me know, any help much appreciated
    Thanks
    Bhav

    Hi Riccardo,
How can I create variables for selecting nodes of the hier?
I can bring in the hierarchy, but any variables i create only allow me to select different hierarchies.
What I am trying to do is create a report to run for level/ node 1 of 7 (the top level), this would allow users to expand if necessary and also another one that only has level/node 6 & 7, without levels/nodes 1-5.
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

  • How to provide different plor series for plot chart

How to provide different plot series for a Plot Chart.
The IDs of the series are given in a ComboBox control

Series are stored in an array. If there is only one series, then you can change it simply by "pushing" a series into a new array, and then assigning that series array to the chart. If you are replacing one series in the chart series array, then you have to figure out which to remove and put the new one in.

  • How to provide joins between oracle tables and sql server tables

    Hi,
I have a requirement that i need to generate a report form two different data base. i.e Oracle and Sql Server.
how to provide joins between oracle tables and sql server tables ? Any help on this
    Regards,

I have a requirement that i need to generate a report form two different data base. i.e Oracle and Sql Server. Bad idea most times. Heterogeneous joins do not exactly scale and performance can be severely degraded by network speed and b/w availability. And there is nothing you can do in the application and database layers to address performance issue at the network level in this case - your code's performance is simply at the mercy of network performance. With a single glaring fact - network performance is continually degrading. All the time. Always. Until it is upgraded. When the performance degradation starts all over again.
If the tables are not small (few 1000 rows each) and row volumes static, I would not consider doing a heterogeneous join. Instead I would rather go for a materialised view on the Oracle side, use a proper table and index structure, and do a local database join.

  • Why are Symmetric keys shorter than ASyemmetric keys and provide the same level of security.

    Hello
Can someone please help me with the following question.
Can someone please give me a brief (if possible) why Symmetric Keys which are much shorter than Asymmetric keys provide a similar level of security (e.g. take as long to crack).
I understand RSA and can to the math with a piece of paper and the Windows advanced calculator (e.g. encrypt and decrypt a sort message using a couple of small prims likes 53 and 59).
I also understand ( to a very basic level) AES e.g. 128bit block cypher (I believe a CBC cypher using an unpredictable IV)
Is there a simple answer if someone says why are Symmetric keys shorted and just as secure or it is just how it is? due to the different math?
    Thank you
    AAnoterUser__
    AAnotherUser__

Symmetric Key is used for same key for encrypsion & decryption but ASyemmetric key is used two keys (Public & private key) for
    encrysion & decryption.
    ASyemmetric
    1. If Public key is used for  encrypsion then private key is used for decryption
    2. If private key is is used for  encrypsion then public key is used for decryption.
    3. It is more secure than Syemmetric

  • How to provide RDP cert file when create virtual machine deployment?

    hi,
the Azure REST API here http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/jj157194.aspx#bk_certificates did not say how to provide a cert for the VM when create it.
the StoredCertificateSettings let you install the uploaded cert onto the vm, but this does not allow you to replace
the RDP cert which created by Azure when the VM is created.
    see below:
the highlighted cert is automatically created by Azure for the virtual machine to secure the RDP connection.
so when you try to remote to the VM, you will see this error, because the cert used for the RDP on the VM is not installed into the "Trused Root Certification Authorities" on local machine.
i want to replace the cert that azure automatically created :

    Hi,
In Azure, this feature is called
custom data. Currently, you can inject custom data into an Azure VM by using the
    Windows Azure command-line tools (--custom-data).
I assume that it is not supported in Python API. You can use “custom_data=xxx”
within “create_virtual_machine_deployment” to check if it works.
If it is not yet available, please submit your requirement in Azure feedback below:
    http://feedback.azure.com/forums/34192--general-feedback

Can any one suggest me for Securites in BPC Application
How to provide security to application in user, Admin levels,
what are the privelliages to user, admin

    Hi,
When you talk about application level security, it is nothing but member access profile. This profile determines, whether you will have the authorization to post a value / read a value from a particular member of the dimension or not.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to provide GUID in Annotation (AIA 11g)

    Hi,
in Developer Guide is descriped, that the GUID-element of Service Solution Component Association is left blank. My question is, how to provide the guid? And when enter the guid. Must I have a look in the database? I didn't find the information in Project Lifecycle Workbench.
    Thanks in advance.
    Greetings,
    Marcel

    Hi,
I'd suggest you not to manually put any GUID in the composite.xml. When you declare a solution service component for ABCS via the PLW, the GUID is created and flowed to the Service Constructor for the ABCS' implementation. The intent of the GUID is to associate the ABCS implementation artifacts (produced by developers) with the functional-artifacts (produced by functional experts in PLW). It is not a MUST for other purpose.
In AIA 11gR1, we only provide such a support to ABCS. Canonical artifacts (e.g., EBF, EBS, and etc.) are a roadmap items at this point. Thanks!

  • How to provide text formatting options to user from a text field

    Hi,
My requirement is - in the interactive form, a comments field needs to be provided where user should be able to enter text with formatting options like
    Headers
    indentations
    bold/italic
    bullet points and numbers
Once user enters the formatted texts in a text field, data needs to be displayed/printed in the same format. Could you help me on how to provide these formatting options to the user for a particular text field?
I understand that once I define the text field with format XHTML (with RTF), user formatting can be captured and displayed in the same way. But I am not sure on how to provide the formatting options for the text field.
    Thank you,
    Madhu

    Hi,
if you select a text field for Rich Text and the press Ctrl + E you'll get a bar for all available text formatting options in Acrobat/Reader.
