How should i go about this repair?

Hey everyone, my 2007 macbook pro's lcd screen has failed to turn on, but the computer itself turns on - so i networked it to my friend's mac using firewire and my harddrive was all there so im able to save everything.
so the problem is probably that i need to get a new graphics card. how do you suggest i go about this, will apple charge a lot for labour? should i take it to another computer store with better charges, or should i attempt to change it myself?

There's a few things that may have failed with this computer:
1) As you suggested, the graphics chipset might be toast. This means you have to replace the logic board, which can be costly no matter who repairs it.
2) The display is broken. You need to get this computer connected to an external display and see if images show up properly. If so, the graphics chipset is OK and you can look into replacing the display, or part(s) of it.
3) The inverter cable in the display has shorted out. This is least expensive part to replace.
What I would do is make an appointment with a Genius bar at a store near you and go do some troubleshooting and/or have the folks there diagnose the computer. All of that shouldn't cost you anything but your time (and possibly the gas to get there!).

So recently I've been trying to get an auto loan and kept getting denied. Finally asked DCU what the problem was and they said I had a repo under Capital One that was still being reported. That was back in 2009, I got the vehicle back and paid it off.
Called COAF today and they acknowledged the resolution of the account but that they could not change how it was reporting. They were trying to get me to file a dispute through them though I refused and said I could do it myself through the 3 agencies. Is there any reason they were so hard pressed for me to file disputes through them? How should I go about this.

DCU doesnt like other things they see in your CR is what I suspect since this actually is a redeemed repo and not one left unpaid.

How should i go about this project?

We currently have a website setup where our customers can adjust/ship from our inventory. Certain customers have ecommerce sites, so we set up our system to accept HTTP posts from their sites therefore bypassing manually going to our inventory site. I was told that the HTTP posts were a temporary solution and that I need to convert it over to XML. I've never used XML before and am not sure how to go about this, what steps to take and in which order....? I've setup a DTD and a mock XML file to my liking but that's as far as I've gone. Please help with the recommended architecture, steps to take, technology to use.
I have WebSphere 3.54 running which has Xalan and Xerces packaged with it if this is relevant... and I know Java/JSP

I've been looking at documentation on ebXML and it sounds like a perfect solution to my problem-
However, I'm having trouble finding examples or how to get started (especially cause I use WebSphere and not Tomcat)
I have JAXM installed and JAXM_HOME set but that's as far as I've gotten so far. Still reading/researching.....
Can you give me any more direction? Location of an example with source?

I want to 'reset' my system with as little change as possible. I actually just wanted to install Windows XP with Boot Camp, but I ran into some problems. Soon thereafter some other weird things arose. After getting some help from very assisting folks here on Apple Discussions and on IRC, I understand that my best bet is probably to reformat my iMac's internal hard drive and, consequently, either reinstall Mac OS X or copy everything from an external hard drive back to the internal one.
My question is, which of these two options would be preferable? If I erase the internal disk and reinstall OS X with the install DVD, can I use a Time Machine backup to 'migrate' everything back? or do I need to do this with some other backup software; or do I just 'restore from backup'?
How would I make a backup which I could then copy back to the internal disk and continue using my Mac as before? Would this have to be a so-called "bootable backup"?
Which way is (more) likely to fix any issues with the file system and/or operating system? Did I even get all of the above right?

From my experiences, the restore from backup feature is excruciatingly slow. I'd re-install OS X from scratch, hook up your TM drive (which will be automatically recognized as such), and then manually copy files over. This will also help prevent copying back corrupt plists and other files which caused your previous issue.

Bootable is always great, but is not necessary. Just keep your TM up to date.

Yes. Check the TM pane in System Preferences and click on Options to see a list of excluded files and folders. Otherwise, all other files (minus cache and temporary files that would automatically get purged quickly) are backed up.

How should i go about this

I bought a template and it has three folder in their; html,

The problem is that i would love to use dreamweaver. So i
click on the html and edit it with dreamweaver. but, the form comes
in three colors and the default one is red. And i want it blue. How
do i change it to blue. When i open up psd and open it up it also
is red but i have to hide the red layer and then it turns blue. So
i tried saving the blue template as a web from photoshop but it
saves it as slices and its way to hard to edit through dreamweaver
everything slice turns into like a jpg. Is their a way in
dreamweaver to hide layers or something, Because i really don't
want to use photoshop because i don't now how to link in it and you
cant add video or codes. Anyone know what to do.

I did that - nothing happen... I have changed my adobe ID and all address to my Canada home.
Having log myself out and re-log back in to start the Creative Cloud subscription. The payment still shows in Sterling Pounds.
This is difficult as I am no longer earning Sterling pounds as a wage and the subscription would automatically be doubled payment, because Canadian $ is less in currency exchange to the UK Sterling Pound.

How should I handle using this socket on multiple threads?

Hey there, I'm writing a SocketServer app to handle client communications and I've run into something I'm not sure how to handle. Currently, I have the main method create the SocketServer and start new threads whenever a client connects and keeps a list of clients that need to be updated with some info ("Stuff") (Basically a list, which when changed, each update will be sent to all clients on the list to be informed of updates). Each thread that's created when a new client connects is passed the instance of the 'PoolHandler' class, which is supposed to handle updates to the "Stuff" and send updates to any clients that need them. Currently, when a client adds itself to the list of users that need to be informed of updates on "Stuff", the thread that handles that client adds the client name and socket to a hashmap in 'PoolHandler' and anytime the "Stuff" is updated, 'PoolHandler' accesses the passed socket and sends the updates. I realize I'm probably not doing a very good job of explaining this, so I'll show my code:

}I attempted adding a synchronized block in the second for loop in PoolHandler, although i'm not sure if I need one at all or if that'll do the trick. The question, I guess, is should I be accessing the socket and then the outputstream for it from here (perhaps with the synchronized block that I added in the second for loop)? I'm not sure I understand your question really, but one thing for sure is that you need Lion for iCloud to work.

Since your Mac probably came with 10.4, there is no longer a way to get 10.5 Leopard install media. IF it has the requirements, you may be able to upgrade to 10.6 Snow Leopard by buying the boxed install media at the Apple Store for $30.
