How so I download LR 4.2 product update?

I have tried repeatedly to download the product update lightroom 4.2 without sucess. I have a very good broadband signal, but the connection bogs down with the starting procedure. Eventually I get 42.5k version of Lightroom_4_LS11_win_4_2.exe which Windows 7 can't open. The file is supposed to be 751MB. My procedure: open LR4, go to help> check for updates>Update 4.2 is available>download>http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5488>Proceed to download>Download Now>Save File> Tell it save in my Downloads folder and then it stalls on starting. Any clues?

Thanks for the suggestion Nikhil. I finally was able to do a live chat with an Adobe tech person, who said the problem was likely do to my anti-virus program. She suggested I disable it temporarily and then download the update. I tried and it went a little further but then stalled again. In a couple weeks I will be in a place with superfast internet and will do it then.
What seems odd is that Adobe doesn't zip these files or use an installer file program (with a different extension). .exe extensions are notorius for viruses and anti-virus programs thus target them.
I also found it very hard to reach an Adobe person, the first number I tried, had a 2+ hour wait but said they'd call me back if I scheduled it - never got the call. This page had more available helpers (3o minute wait) plus immediate live chat help. It's here: http://helpx.adobe.com/contact/

I've looked in Apple's release notes & info provided at the App Store, but found nothing about the size of this download. Due to Verizon's 5Gb monthly allowance, I have to be very careful. Wish Apple provided this info for all downloads because it's definitely important for at least some of us, especially people way out in the boonies with no really fast connection, limited monthly allowance, and limited Wi-Fi access. Just started getting 4G in my area, so at least that's good! :-)
One big problem for many of these "App Store only" updates/downloads is that there's no way to stop them once they start and no way to find out how big the download is until actually starting the process.
So, has anyone downloaded this Logic Pro update? If so, about how large was it?

Thanks. I was afraid this might be a 600mb or so download, so you gave me a good ballpark.
I now understand that, due to Apple's "Delta" method of updating, an exact download size would depend on each individual's situation, but it would be helpful if they could at least give some sort of estimated size (such as, "between 40 and 80mb"). At least, then a person would know it wasn't hundreds and hundreds and maybe even thousands!
Note: I've downloaded the update and it was, indeed, fairly small, quick and painless. Wahoo!
Extra Note: I had to force-stop an "Additional Content" instruments download about halfway through since I had to leave the place where I was using free Wi-Fi. Since there's no way of actually pausing these downloads, I just went offline to stop it and figured I'd have to start all over again on a future occasion. ... Surprise! The next time I went online (which also involved free Wi-Fi) and opened Logic Pro, a "Resume Content Download?" window popped up, giving a choice to either continue, "decide later" or cancel. Of course, I selected to continue and then the download finished from where it had left off! Nice!

Ive just updated my Apple ID as I have a new email and the old Apple ID was my old email. I have updated my login details on my iphone to the new Apple ID and had to also change the password through iForgot, as for some reason it wasnt accepting my old one. But when I go to iTunes through my iTunes iPhone app - there is nothing showing in "purchased" to download. My iPhone is brand new so doesnt have any songs on it????

How to disable product update on Cisco AnyConnect mobility client

Hallo,
Do you anybody know how to disable/turn off "Checking for product update" during _every_ connecting Cisco Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client (VPN) to remote sites?
I found it may by possible on the ASA side, but I need to disable it on the client (computer). I can see that checking is NOT during connecting to my company site, but when connecting to ANY OTHER site everytime is new version checked. It takes some time ... and I need to switch between VPN often.

You should be able to do this in the AnyConnect local policy. Just add (or edit, if you already have a local policy file) the following to the local policy file:

Indeed, we kept getting requests for these from folks like you wanting to download the individual CC product updates without the AAM or Creative Cloud Desktop app, like Adobe used to supply for the older CS products...
