How splitter container is useful to show multiple lines of heading in ALV
Hi,
I have a requirement to develop an ALV grid with below layout:
Past
Future
| F1 | F2 | F3 | F4 | F5 | F6 | F7 | F8 | F9 | F10 | F11 | F12 |
I read forum blogs and found that splitter container can be used to develop such layout. Can anybody pleae let me know how to do so? As per my understanding first container will have headings ( Past & Future) and second container will hold headings (F1, F2...) as well as data. Since each container has a grid and for each grid we have to pass a fieldcatlog and an internal table how can we display only headings in First conatiner.

solution may exist in theory (only).
I do not know a working solution yet. When ALV was first introduced some 12 or more years ago, the column width was specified as a number of characters ignoring that a proportional font will not match this.
With introduction of the grid, the scaling is free and can be done in the GUI on a (display) pixel base. I tried a lot with dynamic scaling of containers and had to learn that there is still a big optimizing potential for the SAP infrastructure.
Right now it seems as the architects try to get everything working as well on (old-style) SAP GUI, also WEB GUI, also java-based web services. The downside is that looking at it from the distance it is nice, going into the details, most (or much) is missing, undocumented or not working properly.
For the time being you may replace detailed functionality by an impressive background picture

No its not possible to have multiple headers in ALV. This has been discussed many times in the forum. You can do a search and find out the details. But its basically not possible to have multiple headers.

Multiple Lines in a Single ALV Grid Cell
Is there any way to Display Multiple Lines in a Single ALV Grid Cell.
This can be accomplished by Sorting the First 3 fields and Make it Looks like below displayed format.
But My problem is while downloading also it should be Displayed in the same format.
All inputs are highly appreciated.there was a post similar to this some days back... search it..

arrange ur final internal table so that it will look like same line...
like...lets say ur internal table is :

and u can rearrange ur table to be like

what i mean to say is dont pass the fields if they are same in the previous line... try it out..
and then pass it two ur ALV.
it will look like they are in one line

How do I stop having iTunes show multiple copies of podcast episode on iPhone?
When I sync my iPhone to my computer with iTunes, iTunes appears to show multiple copies of the podcast episodes on my iPhone.
How can I correct this? I'm running the latest copies of iTunes and I'm using Mavericks. The iPhone is a 4S running the latest iOS.

I have a 5C, running the latest iOS, and the latest iTunes running on the latest Mavericks.
If you're having what I'm having, you don't see multiple copies browsing the iPhone Podcasts app; you only see the multiples when you go to "on this iPhone" in iTunes, or click the device in the sidebar. I had a similar issue; I was seeing something like a dozen copies of the same Freakonomics podcast, and often another one was getting added after I synced.
I checked my iPhone though - and I don't think there's actually mulitple copies of the file, despite what iTunes is telling me.
On the iPhone itself, go to "settings", and then "general", and then usage. This screen will tell you how much storage each app on the phone is using. If you click "Podcasts" on this list, the next screen will break down the storage used for each podcast. I took note of the size it was reporting for podcasts that showed duplicate copies in iTunes; and then added up the file size for the number of files that *should* have been on there. Three episodes should have been something around 80 MB, and that's exactly how much the Podcasts app said it was using. Had I actually been storing 12 copies of the same episode, it should have been much larger. (The numbers here are rough guesses, I don't remember what they were exactly at the time, but was exacting when checking, and the math did check out.)
I also checked the sum total size of the podcast audio files on of my laptop, and the Podcast App reported using pretty much exactly the same storage for all audio files as if I added up a single copy of all files that *should* be there for the podcasts I expected to be on the phone.
So while this seems like yet another screw-up behaviour of the Podcast App, at least in my case, it doesn't appear that it's something to worry a whole lot about, as the poodcasts aren't eating up space on your iPhone, at least if you're only seeing the duplicates while browsing the device in iTunes. Still another item on the list of reasons the default Podcast app needs to be fixed, though.
When I finally listened to the podcast in question, and it became marked for deletion (and at that point shows a "cloud" icon next to it, which I believe means the file itself is actually already gone from the device, and the "deleting" in 24 hours is just the item being removed from the list) the duplicates all disappeared from the iTunes view. -
How to create a view to display Multiple lines of Text using ABAP WebDynpro

I need to create a static view page in ABAP WebDynpro that displays Static text data in multiple paragraphs. I tried to use textview, formatted text, text edit controls by binding the textcontrol to a text object that is created in so10, but the output I am getting is only one line and the character count is limited to 60 to 65 characters.
I would like to know which control needs to be used in ABAP Webdynpro to get multiple lines displayed with text formatting like Paragraph, Indenting and Size.....

How can I change the length of multiple lines at the same time?
This just seems like it should be a no-brainer, but obviously for me it isn't. I'm trying to change the length of multiple lines, that are at different angles, at the same time, in CS4. Basically, I design the face of dials used for airplane instrument gauges (like RPM, Torque, etc), and they have gradiation marks (lines) located all around, similar what a clock looks like with the hour and minute gradiation marks (lines). Is there a way to select all the lines, that I know are the same length, and change it to a different length, that's accurate to the 1/100th of an inch? It would just be like selecting multiple lines that have all the same stroke, then using the stroke box to change the stroke weight from .025in to .030in.
I've used the transform box to change the 'height' of a line before, but the line has to be at 90 degrees (straight up and down), and that won't work for the lines that are at, say, a 45 degree angle.
I hope i'm explaining this in a way that someone will understand. If not, I can sure try to clarify more, or insert the picture so you could see what i'm talking about.
Thanks for any help you can give!OK, after fiddling around with everyone's ideas, I think I finally got it. I knew there had to be something with proportions between W and H, but couldn't figure out the math, until Jacob answered with:
"If each line must be strecthed from the inner/outer end, you may select each and use the Transform palette, choosing the right Reference Point, multiplying by the proportion in W or H (1.75/1.5), and Ctrl/Cmd clicking."
Now, I basically did everything above, (but I couldn't figure out what you were talking about with the Ctrl Clicking thing), except after figuring out the right proportion (which ends up being so small you guys would die if I told you the number; the numbers I gave earlier were just an example and much larger than what i'm really working with) I just clicked the little chain next to the W and H boxes to constrain the proportions. I then put the new number (multiplied proportion by whatever was in W) in the W box. The line lengthened perfectly toward the center of the dial, keeping the correct angle!
And Harron-Thanks for the link to Teri's, It is going to help with some things I do, but most of the dials I design don't have equal distances between each gradiation mark, and the blueprints I work off of usually have exactly what distances that the grad. marks are supposed to be. So, after selecting one of my grad marks that is already at it's correct place, I then use the rotate tool and Alt-Clicking the very center of the dial, I can then put in exactly what distance I want the next grad. mark to be at, I hit copy (instead of OK) and there will be a new grad. mark exactly the correct distance from my original. Then if I want to have the 3rd grad. mark I just hit Ctrl-D and it will copy another mark to the next position. I don't know if you necessarily wanted to know all that, but i thought i'd explain why I like doing it that way.

In UC500, we can manually program a prefix number or code such as “6” , then dial "6" + extension to access to that extensions' voicemail from any subscribed phone. We often use this "voicemail code + extension" as night switch VM.
2. How to program night service/schedule in BE3K?
I understand there is day/night service on Auto Attendant setting what if customer dosen't want caller to hear any AA greeting or option 1, 2, 3 , most of customers just simply want to caller reach a hunt group during the day and a voicemail greeting during the night ( again, how to program night switch VM?)

A user can "own" multiple lines. These are provisioned on the user page. (Note that this is not required to have multiple lines on a phone, but is a way to assign multiple lines to a user if that is desired when sharing lines on a phone.)
One the phone configuration page, just keep adding more lines to the phone in the "extensions" area.
When adding more lines to a phone, if you enter the same extension multiple times, then the phone enters a "roll-over" mode. In this mode, each line (of the same extension) will only allow one call. The next call then appears on the next line on the phone of that extension. Some customers prefer this mode of behavior.
When using roll-over mode, be sure to take into account any other phone that shares that extension. You'll want both phones to be in roll-over mode. If one phone is in multi-call mode for that extension (the extension appears on the phone only once), and another phone has the same extension in roll-over mode (the extension appears more on the phone more than once), then while both phones will ring with the first call, only the first phone (mult-call mode) will ring if a second simultaneous call arrives. This is because in roll-over mode, the second phone cannot handel the second call, and wants to forward it to the next line appearance. However, the first phone (multi-call mode) can handle the call on that line. So, the second call is offered to that phone without forwarding to the next line appearance.
If you want to mix these two modes, configure two phones with the same line (shared line) and setup the two phones differently, one in roll-over mode, and the other with just one line appearance. Then, use other phones to call that extension so that you can experiance the behavior first hand. It can be a bit confusing to get a problem report from one of your end users because of this missconfiguration. Seeing it first hand will help you recognize if you ever accidentally enter this configuration. This missconfiguration cannot be prevented as you pass through it when assigning lines to phones. However, the GUI does not warn you that you are in this configuration. -

Splitter container with alv grid has to be replaced with a dynpro
I have a container which I have splitt in 4 areas, on the right half I have two splitter container with alv grids.
On the left side I have my navigation tree in 2 splitter container.
I don't know if this really works, but is it possible that I call a dynpro in the splitter container (after using my navigation tree) where still my alv grids exist?so it is not able that I can show a dynpro with several text fields?
or can I introduce the textfields in another version to the container?
In se80 I think you have the same, there they call another transactions, is it possible that I call a transaction to the right side of a splitter container? -

This is possible but the Solution might not look Standard/Appropriate to you.
In ALV, you can have Multiple Line Output...There is a Field in the Field Catalogue..called as Row_position...this is by default 0...which means Single row/Line ALV output....You can have this Value in the Range of 0 to 3.......A ALV field with row_position 1, will be displayed in the second line for every record...i.e. you will have multiple line for a single record of ALV.
In your case......you can use this but you need to split your field in two fields.....but you may end up spliting a single word....but for that also you can design the logic of splitting the Fiel value at SPACE only......
