How strong my processor has to be to render?

Hi Im wandering what's wrong with my imac, I'm trying to render 3 min video and it takes for ever and then my FCP doesn't respond, I got Mac OS X Version 10.5.7 Compressor 2.4 GHz intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 1GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM Is it enough for rendering ? if not, what is the cheeper way to upgrade my processor ? how much is it ? if i need.

Rendering is based on a number of variables-- your footage codec, resolution, bit depth, applied filters, keyframes, etc. Can you provide any of this information?
In regards to upgrades, the first thing I'd do is get to 2GB RAM at least. There is no way to upgrade the iMac's processor without buying a new one.

  • How strong is the strength of a passcode?

    Hi all,
My house was broken into recently with family and myself present (armed robbery). Lost many things, one of which was my iPhone 5 (updated to iOS 7.0.2). The phone has only passcode switched on. Didn't turn on the iCloud and Find my iPhone function.
My question would be how strong is the passcode? Could the burglars access any information on the phone in any possible way?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

iPhone employs a random 256-bit AES key when a passcode is set. AES is widely accepted as to be unbreakable at the present time.
Thus, unless a thief can "guess" your passcode, your data is safe.
And, with iOS 7.0, unless your Apple ID/Password are known, the phone cannot be restored or activated. It is now useless.

  • How can I tell how long a request has been sitting on an execute queue?

Is it possible to determine (in WL 8.1 and/or 10.3) how long an HTTP request has been sitting on the execute queue before being assigned to a servlet?
Under heavy load, I'm finding that the caller times out by the time the servlet tries to write the response because the request has been waiting on the execute queue for too long. To prevent doing all the work to process the request, I want to be able to see how long the request has been waiting to determine whether it's worth processing the request.
Currently I use the getExecuteThreadTotalCount() method in ExecuteQueueRuntimeMBean and assume that if the count is high, the request has probably been waiting for a while, but getting the actual time on the queue would be much better.
    Thanks.

Further investigation and a bunch of speed tests later, I'm even more puzzled. Between 7 pm and 9pm this evening, download speed has been consistently at 112kb, except for the 1 in 10 occasions where it hits 1.5mb, for 30 or 40 seconds, before dropping back to 112kb.
Does anyone have any ideas what is going on?
    thanks in advance

  • How the profile id has been created for anonymous user

    hi all,
when i print the ShoppingCurrent.current the below line is displaying
    Order[type:default; id:o1030002; state:INCOMPLETE; transient:true; profileId:1310002; ]
in that how the profile id has been created.
    thanks in advance
    shya

User profile is created when a request is processed by the ProfileRequestServlet in the ATG servlet pipeline and is made available as session scoped Profile object for each user. Profile object has a dataSource property which points to the underlying RepositoryItem. For anonymous user, the underlying RepositoryItem created through ProfileRequestServlet remains transient by default. Therefore you won't find the item in the repository or database with that transient repository item's id. You can change this default behavior if you want by changing the persistentAnonymousProfiles property of the ProfileRequestServlet component to true which will create a new profile in the database for each anonymous visitor.

Then  Goto tab on the menu and select the overview of the condition record. After do so you will have the details of diffrenr tabs. • Report: How long the user has not logged into SSHR

    Hi experts,
I am looking for a report, which showing me, how long the user has not been logged into SSHR?. Because some poeple dosn't work any more in the company, and the list should enable use to deactivate their accounts.
    Thanks in advance

The AOL signon capabilities are good and you'll find useful stuff in those links.
If you're after something quick in SQL try this:
    SELECT last_logon_date, user_name
    FROM fnd_user
    WHERE trunc(last_logon_date) < trunc(sysdate) - 90;
That will get you everyone who hasn't logged in for 90 days.

  • RE: How to monitor who has what service objectconnection?

We ran into this problem, specifically because we are using a dbsession
connection pattern and the dba's did not like loosing control over
connections. We have 8 subsystem, each with a dedicated connection that
is shared across multiple users. We also have a security pattern in
place that is token based. Since we have to pass a security token
through service objects we can track this information using a
"connection array" on the service object and a system agent to poll the
contents of the array. When a sql statement is invoked on a
persistence object we add the user to the array on the persistence
manager (SO). When the sql is complete we remove the user from the
array. Since the PO has a system agent we can ask the system agent at
anytime, who has an open connection/session with the PO. Since system
agents plug into econsole, the dba can go look any time.

Subject: How to monitor who has what service object connection?
    Date: Tuesday, September 24, 1996 9:12AM
Here at Eli Lilly & Co., we have a customer that would like to know if
    anyone out there has successfully
devised a method to be able to tell what user has what service object
    connection. Basically, if a customer
calls the system administrator with a problem with the application, the
    system administrator would like to
be able to kill certain processes. Right now, the database connections
running on the server all look the same.
Some ideas were generated internally, one referring to setting up agents
but we'd like to see if anyone
has had success in doing this already that we could use as a contact.

    Hello Peggy,
I suggest that you make contact with Paolo Sidoli at DS Data (Italy). They
have written a very nice package called DORE that includes trouble shooting
utilities, that allow you to monitor what a remote user is doing (you can
    actually see their screen!).
You can contact Paolo at [email protected]

  • How the sContainerLocation parameter has been set and used?

    Hi,
    I'm confused with the following 2 methods in IContainerProvider Interface (Java EDK5.0):(1) public IContainer attachToContainer(String sContainerLocation, ChildRequestHint oHint, String Locale);(2).public ChildContainer[] getChildContainers();
I'm not sure how the sContainerLocation parameter has been set correctly for the top lever container and the sub level (child containers). What i intended to do is crawl all documents (all have a unique ID) into Plumtree portal. I plan to set the parent folder ObjectID as a datasource parameter. Can anyone please tell me how to use the "parent folder ObjectID" in those 2 methods.
    Thanks in advance,

    Mihir,
For the top-level container, set parent folder Object ID equal to CrawlerConstants.TAG_PATH. I've only configured this via a custom SCI page in the Crawler admin object, so I'm not sure if it will work as a setting in the Data Source as you wish to do. You can try it in the data source and if it doesn't work, then try it in the Crawler. When set correctly, the portal will automatically call attachToContainer with sContainerLocation equal to whatever value you have for TAG_PATH.
For child containers, just set the sLocation in the ChildContainer equal to the folder ObjectID and the portal will use that as the value for sContainerLocation on its subsequent attachToContainer calls.
    -Dave
I've set this in the crawler UI, and I'm not sure if it will work in the data source.

  • How to check who has approved the PO or PR?

    Regards.

Go to PO display ME23N go to enviornment data and see for header changes here you can see the person who has release the PO at what dat with time, user id and T-code used for release.
Else if version management is activated in your client then check at the version tab at the header level of PO here also you will find the required details.
For PR you can check the item details.
