How sync local and iCloud keychain

Hi, my MBP retina broke and the Apple service change the mother board.
I lost some key chained password, looking around i follow the iCloud request approval with success.
Could be new mother board means new MAC!
So i discover before the approval, that some passwords are inside my MBP (masked as login) and other are on iCloud (marked as iCloud).
Is it possible to sync the two repositories for have all the passwords aligned?
Many thanks for an answer.
Simone

Hi Everret.
Aside from keychain, you can access your iCloud keychain on your iOS devices.
All you need to do is go to your Settings > Safari > Password > Autofill > Saved Passwords (you will need to enter your device passcode)
and then you can now view all the saved password from your iOS device.
Hope it helps

  • Sync system and icloud keychains

    Hi,
I had to reset the network settings on my iPhone 5 and then I noticed it had deleted all my wifi passwords from iCloud Keychain.
Accessing the Keychain app on my Mac, I can see that all the passwords are still in my "system keychain", however, I cannot copy them to the "iCloud keychain".
Is there any way to copy or sync the "Airport network passwords" from the system keychain into the iCloud keychain?
    Thanks

Didn't it keep syncing with both iTunes and iCloud even after installing iTunes 11? (PC or Mac?)
Ever since iCloud came out in 2011 I've had a configuration where I sync some calendars with iCloud and one with Outlook via iTunes. Until today I didn't even realize they had removed the option from iTunes after 10.7 because I think it kept working even after the upgrade. (I guess the new UI wouldn't let me select that option, but since I already had it configured, I think it kept working that way.)
However, today I cycled my iCloud calendars off and then back on again to solve a different problem and then I was unable to turn on syncing with Outlook again. I stumbled across this article and it all came together: "iTunes 10.7 or earlier will allow you to enable iTunes sync for Calendars even if you are already using iCloud Calendar on your computer."
Since I think it was working even under iTunes 11, I'm considering restoring from a backup from a couple of days ago to see if that will restore the configuration I had. But you're making me wonder if that will work.

  • How can I use iCloud-keychain if i can not find my country in the country code list?

How can I use iCloud-keychain if i can not find my country in the country code list?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your country code does not appear in the list…
Go to System Preferences > iCloud > Keychain and enter your Apple ID password (Settings > iCloud > Keychain, from a mobile device)
Select the ‘Create Different Code’ option. (Mobile devices only)
Select the advanced option and choose whether to create a random code or no code, selecting the later allows syncing across devices but not with Apple’s servers.

  • "How are local and state taxes setup/updated when employee's address change

    Hi All
I wanted to know "How are local and state taxes setup/updated when employee's address changes . - How is it done in SAP? -
    Thanks in Advance

This defeats the purpose of trying to centralize SAP-related web resources on the SAP server. Typically IIS/Apache or other non-SAP servers are under the control of IT and not the SAP BASIS group.
We simply would like to have a centralized location to store static web files so that they are not overwritten during Portal support pack applications.

  • How do I access icloud keychain?

I know the password was kept in the icloud keychain?
On my Mac I start up the utility keychain. Put in enough letters too narrow the search, pick the correct password/user name. Authorise viewing the password in plain text. And read the result.
How do I do this with icloud?  I have a couple of websites where I can't authorize it anything.

  • HT203783 Safari and iCloud Keychain not prompting for password

In Safari 8.0 (Yosemite) a prompt appears telling me to turn on iCloud Keychain to have a secure password suggested. I already have it on and all autofill boxes are enabled in Sarari. What is missing to have it suggest the password?

The way to check is to go to Control Panel and search for "iCloud".  If iCloud appears (see first image below), double-click on it.  This will be the iCloud control panel for Windows.  If he is syncing his computer with his iCloud account it will look similar to the second image below.

    Hi KStover05,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you're seeing an issue when trying to sync your iPhone. The article linked below describes why those alert messages appear and how to resolve issues related to them.

  • Sync Outlook and iCloud

    Hello!
PING to the server was lost imap.mail.me.com
Because of this I can not sync Outlook folders and iCloud?
    What do I do?

You have to create your iCloud account on an iOS device such as your iPad (by going to Settings>iCloud and signing in with your Apple ID), or on a Mac running OS X Lion or higher.  After creating the account, you can download and install the iCloud Control Panel for Windows on your PC from here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html (requires Vista SP2 or higher), then sign into your iCloud account, as explained here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html.

  • Can I have both local and iCloud notes in Mountain Lion?

I always had both local (device specific) and iCold notes on my iPhnone I hope this is really the way Apple meant it to work and they will not "fix" the behavior in future releases, as it is very useful.
On the Mac however, I had the surprise tho see that there is no such thing. I tried the same thing I tried on the iPhone.
    1. Turn iCould Notes off, delete all notes.
    2. Create a new note.
    3. Turn the iCloud notes on.
After doing this you will have to kind of notes, "on my iphone" and "icloud".
However, I cannot do this on my Mac. After step 3, the notes are merged and the local not becomes a iCloud note.
    Thanks in advance

Sometimes it takes me a while to remember this stuff. The issue is that these invisible folders are actually symlinks and not real folders. They behave differently. Here's something that used to work and may still:
Open Terminal in the Utilities folder:
    cd /
    nano .hidden
Press RETURN after each line. In the editor listing enter, one line each, home and net. CTRL+O to save the file. Now log out and log back in or restart. The files should be invisible.
Beyond this requires downloading the XTools in order to use one developer tool not included with OS X.

  • Address Book account Local and iCloud

Depends on whether you want them on the iMac only (keep the local one) or on any device connected to the iCloud account (keep the iCloud one)

  • Out of memory errors when trying to sync local and remote sites

We cannot get our remote and local sites synchronized for the first time. We have a huge site and we get out or memory errors or the synch just doesn't work. Any solutions or insights?
Our site has 9,000+ HTML files and accompanying images, pdfs, etc. When we try to synch the remote to the local for the first time, it just will not happen. Every once in a while someone gets lucky, but for the most part, we either get an "out of memory" error or the synch just doesn't work, and it doesn't tell us anything. It just stops responding. HELP!

    Hi dmooresatx,
I am not aware of the limitations of the file sizes that are allowed for a successful sync operation. If you are using a purchased version of Dreamweaver CC, send me your Adobe ID along with your contact details (phone, email number). Click on my picture and use the message option. If you are using a team license, get these details from your administrator.
    Thanks,

  • Syncing devices and Icloud

I have been trying to set up my Iphone, Ipad, Windows desktop and Windows laptop to sync my contacts and calender using Icloud
Now although the contacts seem to sync fine using the Icloud Manager the only way I can sync my calenders is by cable and ITunes, using the laptop as the base device.
My Calender in Icloud remains blank and I cant see a way to merge them all.
Am I missing soething so very simple or have others had this problem?
Yes I've looked at the support page which to be honest is about as much use as a chocolate Fire Guard
    many thanks for any help

    UPDATE:
After calling Tech Support and running a bunch of iCal event creation/edit/deletion tests from all devices, realized that problem is limited to old events that existed in iCal on my MacBook prior to installation of Lion. Tech Support unable to solve problem, but workaround is to delete old events from all sources and create new events.

  • ITunes Still Not Syncing Notes and iCloud Confidence

Well it seems that the loss of USB Notes synchronisation functionality in iTunes at 10.8.1 was deliberate.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4191?viewlocale=en_US
Contacts are now synchronising via iTunes again as of 10.8.2 and iOS 6 formal release but not Notes.
You must now use either iCloud or an IMAP email account that Telstra (biggest Australian telco) does not offer.
Apple will get dissaffected customers if they start to withdraw functionality that was working on your model of iDevice.
They also need to develop better sensitivity to their travelling customers being stung via data usage.
Give users adequate control & iDevice cache data if possible - think Facetime optimisation, Maps update, iCloud Sync etc.
I am reluctant to embrace iCloud as I periodically travel overseas and Global Roaming can send you broke as matters stand.
I can not just turn off roaming or cellular data as I need to get SMS and updates to passbook for boarding passes & tickets.
Also Notes on an iDevice may have confidentiality or intellectual property sensitivity; do you want them on a public server?
I notice too that Photo Stream is getting advertising - again increasing data usage - so what comes next with iCloud cost-wise?
We need an international treaty so that global roaming can no more than double your bill per service - split 50-50 home-away.
Perhaps Apple could facilitate some such arrangement before the masses of new users loose confidence in smart devices?

Sorry about that. Well, I've tried deleting the AlbumData.xml file as suggested also, but iPhoto itself generates a new file every time it's opened, so that's really a dead end. Rebuilding the library and through iPhoto Library Manager are the steps that required most work, and both did not work either, unfortunately.
I do believe that I'm not the only experiencing iTunes syncing problem, as there have been many posts here before when 9.4 came out. Like I wrote, it has been better with each upgrade, so there's definitely something in the coding with 9.4.x that messes things up. I had no trouble whatsoever with version 9.3.2 and prior to that.
    Terence Devlin wrote:
Please share a comprehensive list of things you've already tried so we won't your time - and ours - making suggestions you already know won't work.
Library size is not part of this issue. 12k photos is not a large library these days, I have one four times that size with no syncing issues.

  • Sync local and MobileMe folders in Mail?

This question seems obvious to me, but I haven't found relevant postings about it...
Is there a way to sync "ON MY MAC" folders (mailboxes) to "MAC.COM" folders?
When I started using Mail I transfered all my old emails (hundreds...) and their attachments (dozens...) from Entourage to Mail. Now I started using MobileMe and discovered that I can keep emails on the remote MobileMe server. I could transfer all my old emails and their attachments to MobileMe, but I'm not sure that they would be accessible if my computer is offline (such as when I'm travelling or when the internet is down...).

If you name email folders like that in many programs, it will create two folders (or more)
It assumes it's a path, just like an operating system does when typing a path.
If you don't want that, you can name it:
    Misc-Apple or the like.
Misc/Apple creates two folders, in succession.

  • Share iCloud KeyChain & Bookmarks?

Hey gang... I have a question as it relates to iCloud and more specifically, icloud Keychain.
Up until now, the way my wife and I have things setup is we have one family icloud account which we use for all our iTunes and Apple Store purchases and then we each have our own separate icloud account for our personal emails, calendars etc.
Would it be a good idea to use the Family iCloud account as both of our main accounts on iOS devices so we can share/sync bookmarks and iCloud Keychain and then our separate personal icloud account would be added as a second account.
The downside to this approach is since the iOS 7 upgrade, Apple only allows the primary icloud account on the iOS device to have documents/data, bookmarks and keychain.  Secondary accounts do not have these options.  This will result in us certainly going over the free GB storage provided by iCloud since we back our devices to the cloud.
Any suggestions/recommendations?  We share approximately 80-90% of our website logins to most message boards, financial sites etc so it would make sense to have a shared iCloud Keychain that is always in sync and up to date.
    Thanks
    Marco

Yep - I just ran into this for iCloud Keychain.  Like you, I've set up for my wife and I a shared iCloud account that we use for Contacts and Calendar so we always have the same data on our iPhones and Macbooks.
We've also used a shared LastPass account for a few years.  I just got a 5s with the fingerprint reader and thought that was worth trying to switch to iCloud Keychain.  However, I quickly ran into this dumb limitation of Apple not allowing this for a non-primary iCloud account.  This totally makes the feature useless for us - like you - and like many other families.
iCloud in general is just not designed with sharing/families in mind, which is very sad.  This hurts their customers in many areas including iBooks, NewsStand, Pages/Numbers/Keynote with docs stored in iCloud.  Do they really expect a family to buy multiple copies of the same book?  To have to email documents to each other to share (forget about collaborative editing)?  Even setting up shared calendar and contacts that I did took a lot of work and would be beyond the ability of a large percentage of home users.
I don't suppose anyone here has any connection to Apple developers who could give some sort of response to this issue?  I guess I could go to one of my local Apple Stores and talk to a "Genious" about this.  I'm sure it would be an exercise in futility like I've had on several previous occasions when asking about iOS and/or OSX features.  It always starts with some confusion in trying to get them to understand what I'm asking.  That's usually followed by comments from them to the effect of "why would anyone want to do that".  And, finally, if I can convince them that it's actually something really useful, followed by comments to the effect of "It just doesn't do that. Thanks for coming in!".
    Maybe I won't bother
