I am doing format of my XI system I want take backup of my xi secnarios from my system, Could please guide me how take the Backup in XI.

export all your swcv and business scenarios.
Right click-->export., Those files will be stored at thos location with .tpz extension

Hi,
May be just for viewing, try downloading from SE80 transaction from the others option.
Here just try issuing the print, it will generate the spool.
Now using the spool, download to your desktop as required. It will have all the information regarding the attributes, fields, elements everything.
The only issue is, may be you need to take all the screens separately.

using VBScript. and I have to pass the folder names again and again. I want this to be happened for all the reports of all the folders at single shot only using VBScript.

Then navigate to the folder contains the script, we can directly run the below command from the run menu:

We can modify the rootpath to point at whaterver fold you’d like to download the RDL files.

When you connect your phone and start iTunes on the left side you will see your phone listed under devices.Click on te icon next to it that looks like a battery. Click on the music button at the top and uncheck the sync music box.

In fact, it could even be possible if it's the database enveloppe which is 210 GB and the actual data is less than 200 GB !
I dare to hope that it's not a production system which is backed up with an external disk...

Going completely computer-free -- how to backup photos?

My sister-in-law, who is not very fluent when it comes to computers and technology, will be going "computer free" soon and buy an iPad mini. (She will get rid of her clunk old Windows machine.) She only does simple email, Skype, and downloads photos from her digital camera to her PC to look at. I think an iPad mini would be great for her.
I know that iCloud backups up almost all of key data, email, etc. The key challenge, though, will be how to backup photos that she takes with her digital camera, uploads to her iPad, and then deletes the photos on her camera (to save space).
I also know that PhotoStream backups up photos taken taken from the iPad. However, I think she could eventually run into these issues:
1) If she take more than 1000 photos (unlikely, but could happen)
2) When you import photos using the Camera Connection Kit, the photos do not go into the Camera Roll (they go in the "Last Import" and "All Imported" albums) and thus do not automatically get backed up. You can select the photos and then click Share --> PhotoStream, but she may forget to do this.
I'd like to find a solution that would back up all her photos automatically on her iPad to a cloud service. The closest I could find is the iDrive Photo app, but you have to manually start it each time and select the photos to backup. Dropbox does automatic backup, but only the Camera Roll.
Anyone have any good ideas?

We have to restore all 50 GB database if we fail in scripts meanwhile to start again the data load.
Out scripts populater only two tablespaces.
That's why if i take backup of those tabblespace then i have to restore only those tablespace not whole database.

on itunes-i tried to save it on a cd disc and the disc only copy 20 songs. I have almost 1700 songs on my ipod. I won't have to put my 1700 song on over 30 disc's will I?

Hi Liu,
You could take a backup of all your reports and universes in a BIAR file through Import Wizard tool. In Source, select your BOE XI R2 system and destination as BIAR file >> select the componenets that you want to take a backup of and import it.

The export import is used for transport of EP content e.g. from Dev to QA to Prod .

yashExp utility is data movement tool but it is not backup tool.(And using this you take logical backup)
RMAN is a backup tool and using is preferable way.From RMAN you can excute BACKUP DATABASE in this case your database will backing up.If your database running in ARCHIVELOG mode then you can execute this command while database running else you need execute this in MOUNT stage.Please refer online documentation.
