How terminate script, keyboard shortcut [CS4 6.0.6 JS]?

In ID CS4 6.0.5 for terminate script with keyboard shortcut I use Esc or command + "."
In 6.0.6 if the script is a binary (jsxbin) the shortcut don't work.
Why?
Any alternative for Mac and PC?

[SOLVED] How to add keyboard shortcuts in XFCE?

I'm giving XFCE a try lately after all of the changes I'm seeing, I'm trying to add a new shortcut to ease some tasks but I don't have a clue on how to do it.
I go to Settings -> Keyboard and there to "Application shortcuts". Then I select to add a new one and point to the script I want to run, but I don't have a clue on how to select the shortcut. I've tried pressing the keys I want to bind, but no way.

It is the next screen Pick the command, click OK. It then throws up a box telling you to press the key combination. It will show as you push meta, shift and control modifiers. When you hit a character that generates a keystroke, it saves it, along with the modifiers.

How to change keyboard shortcut for cycle through open tabs in PS and AI CC 2014

I would love to set my own keyboard shortcuts for cycling through open tabs in PS and AI 2014 on OS X. I found out that this can be achieved with ctrl+tab in PS, but I couldn't manage to make any of the suggestions in the forum work for AI. As said, I would like to set a more "standard" shortcut like alt+cmd+arrow-keys for both of the apps. If that shouldn't be possible, does anyone know a shortcut in AI CC 2014?

Thanks! The shortcut can be set like this in AI, although all key combinations I would want to use are not allowed. Too bad. But anyways, thank you very much for the tip!
cmd+~ is not an option for me, I guess, since the swiss/german keyboard layout has no dedicated tilde key.
So, I have a working shortcut in PS (ctrl+tab / of which I still don't know how to change, if possible at all) and thanks to you, I can now set one in AI as well. Unfortunately, I can not set it to be identical as in PS, since the "cmd" key needs to be included in AI's shortcut assignment dialogue, but I guess, this is as good as it gets.

How to disable keyboard shortcut for Type-And-Transfer

Hi,
I'm trying to create a macro in Excel that I want to use the ctrl+shft+h keyboard shortcut. However, Lenovo's Type-and-Transfer tool has hijacked that shortcut so everytime I try to use the shortcut within Excel it launches the Type-and-Transfer tool. I've looked everywhere and cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to disable this keyboard shortcut from launching the Type-and-Transfer tool. Anybody have any idea?

<sorry as I don't havea system with this shortcut type I cannot find the exact same key combination>
My second thought is going more in the direction of an application, that is called Keyboard Customizer
Try this one, if that will fit your request.

I don't know how dangerous this is, but I have just customized two keyboard shortcuts in LR2 for use with a Swedish keyboard.
I did not invent this, I was taught by someone else on this forum, I'm sorry I don't remember who.
What I did was create a file called TranslatedStrings.txt in the folder C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2\Resources\en\
The content of this file is:

This makes Ctrl+. zoom in on pictures and Ctrl+Shift+. toggle between showing and hiding the library filter bar.
So far it seems to function. This copies the way LR is translated to French and German. But I would very much like some input from Adobe on what can be done without danger. Maybe also a list of all shortcuts so we could do this ourselves without compromising anything.

Minor correction:
I believe it should be:

The character "&" after "=" on line 1. But it seems to function like you wrote it too.
I tried changeing "&Before only" into "&Före enbart", which translated the menu into Swedish, but the letter ö looked strange.

can anyone help me to modify the keyboard shortcuts in Indesign CS4. When I create a new set in Edit Menu Keybord shortcuts and try to change Cmd+H to hide frame edges instead of hide indesign its not happening. can anyone tell me what is correct way to change the shortcut.

What's the default for hide edges on Mac? It's Ctrl + H which would in most circumstances lead me to think that it would be Cmd + H on Mac, but I think you are running into a problem with the OS using that key combo and intercepting the keystrokes.
Edit: that should have been Ctrl + H on Windows.

How to do keyboard shortcuts to an external program?

Hi everyone,
i'm developing a program in labview that reads files created from an external program (an usb oscilloscope interface) and analyzes them.
That problems is that I need to start manually, before, the acquisition of data on the oscilloscope interface and than I have to start the labview program; that's not really elegant and efficient, so I whish to know if it's possibile to let my labview program open the oscilloscope interface and tell to it to start the acquisition.
Now, the exec subvi let me start the program, but I dont know how to start the acquisition.
With the oscilloscope interface as active window I can start the acquisition with the keyboard shortcuts ctrl-t ctr-g. Is it possible to let the program send to windows the request of execute those keyboard shortcuts on the active window?
The oscilloscope doesnt have any ActiveX interface.

You can use the VI posted in this reply to send keys. Note that this sends the keystrokes to the window that is active. This means you have to first activate the window. To do this you can use the Windows API utilities found here. Specifically, use "ShowWindow".

I play a browser game called tribal wars, to play this game well I need to be able to launch attacks in rapid succession by opening multiple tabs and selecting my troops in each tab that I want to send. I need to be able to cycle through five tabs whilst pressing enter is there a way of assigning a keyboard short cut so I could do it in 150 milli seconds?

You can also use "Ctrl+Page Down" to go to the next tab or "Ctrl+1" to "Ctrl+8" to go to the first 8 tabs (Ctrl+( takes you to the last tab).

How to enable keyboard shortcuts for configuration entry point?

Hello All,
In my process model, I have a configuration entry point sequence (sequence). I can able to select the corresponding entry from the menu bar ie. configure --> options (for eg). Now I need to have a keyboard shortcut for the same. In my case if I press (for eg) ctrl+w, the configuration entry point sequence must be called.
Note - I have to do this using .NET programmatically.
Is there any way I can incorporate this mechanism...?

At this time there is not anyway to customize the keyboard shortcut keys for menu items you add to the TestStand sequence editor. R&D is looking into implementing this in a future version of TestStand. I'll pass along your feedback to them, and let them know there are others interrested in this feature.

How to disable keyboard shortcut "Control Shift Down"

Hi,
I'm mildly surprised that I couldn't find the answer to this little problem I have.
I'm running a PC version of Excel through VMWare under Mac OS X 10.7, and it works perfectly fine except that the keyboard shortcut for selecting continguous cells in a column - Control-Shift-Down - produces a weird "slow-mo" version of F10, which is showing all windows in the current application.
First of all, I hardly see this "feature" to be of any practical use as you can accomplish the same (without the slow-mo effect) by hitting F10 by default.
Secondly, this prevents me from doing something actually useful in Excel which is selecting continguous cells in a column.
Can someone please give a tip to disable this useless shortcut? I've looked everywhere in Keyboard settings in Preferences without success.
Can't believe no one else has the same issue.

How to import keyboard shortcuts from CS6 to CC?

Every time there's a new version I go through this trying to figure out where the keyboard shortcuts file lives and every time it's hell. This time I've been searching and searching and I can't find a way to do. Why is this so hard? Should this thing happen automacally or at least there could be an option for "import keyboard shortcuts." I can't really use the new Illustrator without my shortcuts. I've looked in the preferences in the Library and in the Applications folders. Any ideas?

Thanks, but I looked there and there's only the default .kys file, not the custom one I saved. I saved the custom keyboards shortcut file but I can't find it anywhere. I think the last time I had to do this it was in Library/Preferences/Application Shortcuts/Adobe or something like that but it's not anywhere it seesm.

How to use keyboard shortcut OPTION SHIFT COMMAND PLUS?

The application I am using has two keyboard shortcuts for changing the KERN of some text:
TIGHTEN = OPTION + SHIFT + COMMAND + MINUS
LOOSEN = OPTION + SHIFT + COMMAND + PLUS
The TIGHTEN command works fine but the LOOSEN command doesn't. If I plug in an external keyboard then it works fine as long as I use the or on the NUMPAD.
Any suggestions?
