How the Block to do changes in partucular BOM Assemblies

Dear Expert,
In our scenario BOM variant are there for country specific. so my client requirement is once they freeze Bill of Material (BOM) i.e. particular date for single country variant then no changes can be made for this country specific variant up to one month or some period.
Second requirement is if they want to do some changes in same variant after some days then this change should not be reflected now this chnage should reflected after one month or after some period i.e. from BOM Freezing date. so please tell me any standard functionality is there or if not possible then how we do this development.

SAP is to enable perform the actual business transactions captured through transactions, it cannot be used as a software to discpline employees or operators.
Behaviour or organisation Change management should be applied within your company ....SAP wont help in this.

How to block lead selection change in a tree ?

Hi Guys,
Scenario
I have MasterTree - DetailEditor pair. MasterTree is used to visit some tree-structured data and DetailEditor is used to edit currently selected tree node.
Requirement
If currently selected node data is updated through DetailEditor and needs to be saved, than on a subsequent tree selection change the user should be warned about unsaved data.
Implementation
In onAction event handler of MasterTree I check whether last selected node data is updated and needs to be saved and if this is the case rollback treeSelection to that node. On the time onAction event handler is called the tree selection is changed from the node that needs save to the newly selected node. In order to rollback treeSelection I need to introduce variable referencing last selected tree node.
Question
Is there any other technique to implement above scenario without using additional variable and manually rollback treeSelection ? For example, to plug in WDP framework on validation step just before lead selection is changed.

There aren't any hooks provided prior to the event handlers being called. As far as I can tell, the way you are handling it is the only way that will work.

How the heck do I change the Firefox 7 UI language?

I've downloaded firefox and firefox-l8n-sr from the repository, but I can't figure out how to actually change the language? I've tried setting the general.useragent.locale to sr_SR and sr, and also tried exporting LANG=sr_SR.UTF-8. The latter worked only if I started FF from the terminal (and both point to /usr/bin/firefox). What's going on?

Same problem here, I've installed firefox and firefox-i18n from pacman
My locales are ok all set in es_MX but firefox shows up in english, I've tried useragent too in about:config, but nothing changes.

How the heck does one change one's email address in the Control Panel

I know this is the wrong place to post this but I don't know where the right place is!
In about a week I am changing to a different broadband provider and the email address I have associated with these forums will no longer be valid. Obviously very easy to deal with - just go to "Your Control Panel" and change the email address ! I must be missing something because I can see my email address but cannot see any way to change it ! What am I missing?

When the migration guidelines said you have to use the same email address in the old and the new account I just changed the email address in the old java forum account to be a current email address, then signed up to the new forums with that... They could have said it must be the email address you used when you originally signed up in the old java forum - but that was back in '98 and I probably did not have access to that when the migration happened...
I don't particularly care about the post count, but as my old posts are not linked to my account it makes it difficult to search through them...

How The Heck Do I Change The Font in Mail?

Been trying & trying... It should be simple, right? I go to Mail / Preferences / Fonts & Colors and just pick what I want. Unfortunately, it won't let me do that. The "Select" boxes turn blue when I click them, but nothing else happens. Any help really appreciated!

I just tried changing the font in two different manners. One is through preferences as you cited and the other is using the icons at the top of the e-mail. In both cases, I was able to adjust the font type, size, and color.

How To Block a User From Changing Total Field In AR Invoice

Hi all,
I would like to find out how to block a user from being able to change the total field at the bottom right hand side of the AR Invoice. Currently if a user creates an invoice and is still busy in that invoice they can adjust the total field which in turn will update the discount field as well.
Is this simply an authorization issue or am I going to have to do it in the transaction notification?
We are using SAP Business One PL 30 currently.

Please review by note again -This is by system design .
I don't know why you are so worried abt this because by setting up discount max ,if user cannot post the document ,that means it is not in the system ,no matter they change multiple times in the fields .
But I think your scenario is different ,
You are copying with certain discount from Delivery to AR invoice and i think you don't want user to change the discount field , then you can solve your issue by using approval or sp_notification
If you really want it to be greyed out ,I think you might have to go through by SDK or Boyum addon.

How to track the blocked POs in 2LIS_02_SCL extractor

Hi Gurus,
We have field ROCANCEL in 2LIS_02_SCL extractor which sets to X and R for cancelled and deleted records. On ECC side we either delete the PO (at Item level) or block the PO.
For deleted POs the ROCANCEL flag is setting to R and we are OK with this but how can we track the blocked orders?
The business requirement is to report on blocked orders too.

In Bw thre is always confusion about following Dates.
Posting Date (0PSTNG_DATE)
Schedule Line Delivery Date (0SCL_DELDAT)
Statistics Date (0STAT_DATE)
So ask Functional Consultants and Business USers and Identify the corretc Date in ECC and then Change the Mapping In UPdate Rules in BW. i.e. What date USer is wanting and accordingly we nee dtgo change the mapping in UPdate Rules in Time Char Tab in UpdateRules.

you can enter a lower limit in the condition record:
Lower limit of the condition rate/amount
Indicates whether, during document processing, the system checks if manual changes fall short of the lower limit allowed for the corresponding condition record.
Use
When you maintain the scales in a condition record, the system checks whether the scale value falls below the lower limit.
Or you can use the flag 'conditon update'.
Condition update
Controls whether limit values are relevant for pricing.
E.g.: you can make the use of a particular condition record in the document dependent on a specified total value.
This total value can be specified in the condition record.

How can I display a changing variable in a subvi on the front panel of the main vi as the subvi is excuting

In the document attached the vi on the right is sub to the vi on the left. On the subvi on the right the variable "Field Reading" is continuously updated on the front panel of the subvi as the "for" loop is executed, but only the last value of the variable is updated on the main vi front panel which is what is expected. My question is how can I display the changing value of "Field Reading" on the main vi front panel as the "for" loop in the subvi is running?

Hopefully I can explain it well enough. It really is simple.
1) Create an empty global variable and call it something like User Interface References.vi
2) For each and every control and indicator on your front panel, right-click and select Create/Reference
3) Place these references wherever you like (I use a series of Event cases to perform my initialisation and these all live in one of these event cases). They can be placed anywhere in the main vi.
4) For each of the references, right-click and select Create/Indicator
5) Moving to the front panel, Cut all the indicators and Paste them in the global variable (eg. User Interface References.vi)
6) Moving back to the block diagram, wire the global variable to each of the references and select the same named global variable.
All the hard work is now done (until you add another user interface terminal). You should now have something that look as shown below, [except the reference labels would be to the left (not sure why the snippet put them above)]. In my latest program I have 82 references!
Done. You can now access all your front panel controls and indicators anywhere in your program as shown below.
You can just select Value in most cases, but in this particular case I wanted to fire off an Event to do some things (log the alarm) as well as just update the value. So, this is another bonus with the method.
Hopefully this all makes sense. If not, let me know.

How do I know which block has been changed in Master/Detail

Hi,
I have master detail blocks. How do I know which block has been changed?
I used :SYSTEM.FORM_STATUS. It only gave me "Changed" or "Query". but didn't tell me which block has been changed in MASTER or DETAIL.

I believe if :system.form_status != 'QUERY' you'll need to loop through through the blocks checking :system.block_status to see who changed. Of course you'd have to go_block() before checking the status.
