How the hell do I force flash my bios back to b3

Dear all,
got a k7n2 board and put a well reknowned modded bios fromn this board on it, its was not stable so now I want to return to the b3 bios, I cant for the life of me get it to flash, it keeps saying flash rom is write protected, I cant get round it by the /f command at all. any one one ideas please its driving me potty.
cheers
brummie

K7N2 Delta2? I can't say very much you don't already know, I guess.
How do you notice the instability? If someone like Bosskiller, the maker of many modded BIOSes, learns what you tried you might get some hints as to where the problem is.
There should be a space before "/f" switch.
Clear CMOS with power cable unplugged or set fail-safe defaults before starting.
In some cases the original BIOS update wasn't completely successful, in which case you have to redo. That is a general thing; if not completely installed, software could be hard to completely uninstall.

  • How the hell does a person share session data between JSP page and a Servle

    1. How the hell does one share session data between a servlet and a JSP page without using a bean but rather using a normal string variable.
    2. When using session scope to access a bean the application complains about not finding the bean on the specified scope, however when I use an application scope the save the same bean, the application does find it.
    Please help!!!!!!!

    System.out.println("Customer UserName = " + session.getAttribute("UserName"));
    response.sendRedirect("/economics/subscriptions/default.jsp");

For a start, just "session" instead of "request.session" would work better. But why did you post this here and not in the JSP forum? Doesn't seem to have anything to do with Java programming.

  • How the HELL do I stop this damned thing from eliminating my LSO,s. Damn this is a BAD program/

I'm an 80 year old guy who has not had a problem with my computer until I downloaded some damn addon from Firefox. Now every time I close a web site I get a message that says that you are going to eliminate my LSO's. How the hell do I get rid of this anoying problem? Does ANYONE know?

You can stop this happening by unininstall the add-on that you downloaded, for details of how to do that see [[Uninstalling add-ons]].
The add-on that is doing this is probably called Better Privacy.

  • Why in the hell is Adobe forcing me to install Mcafee???

As if it were not enough to receive constant flash player updates anouncements, the last one came with a surprise. This time Adobe didn't allow me to choose whether to install mcafee or not (btw shame on you Adobe for making me to have to uncheck that box every time). A pop up window shown up with the download status of both Flash player update and mcafee, and installed it without asking. Why should I have to loose my time having to uninstall mcafee? Why should I have to loose my time having to uncheck that box every other time? How do I know Mcafee has not left anything in my computer after uninstall? I have my own antivirus, so please, just stop annoying your users with that kind of annoying behaviour.
PS: I don't install anything automatically before checking how it was for other users, so save your advices on enable updates automatically.
    SHAME ON YOU!

Generally this occurs because there's a third-party plug-in that affects how the JavaScript on the page got executed.  Ghostery, AdBlock Pro and NoScript are common candidates.
Under normal operating conditions, you should see an opt-out dialog like the one below.  While cost-recovery measure are a reality for a product that is tremendously expensive to develop and distribute free of charge, the intent is absolutely to allow you to opt out.
If you want to avoid the download and installation experience for Flash altogether, switch to a browser that includes Flash Player as a built-in component, like Google Chrome or Internet Explorer on Windows 8 and higher.

  • How the hell do I get to my bookmarks? No, there is no "Firefox button" that I can see to follow your How To instructions. Am I stupid or something?

You have taken my bookmarks button away. You answer a question about how to get to my bookmarks. That answer is "Click on the Firefox button, etc." I have tried clicking on every spot that looks like anything the opening Firefox page, but I can find no "Firebox button"! Can you please explain to an idiot like me where this button is and what it looks like?
Bookmarks are absolutely key. I do not understand why you couldn't have preserved a bookmark button and not force us to dig for it.
    Sheesh.

Upper-left corner of the browser window - see the image below. There is also a blue button with a white star for accessing your Bookmarks, on the right-side of the toolbars - on either the Bookmarks Toolbar, or if that is hidden, on the Navigation Toolbar.
If you don't see the Firefox button, the Menu Bar is probably selected to appear. In that case your should have '''Bookmarks''' showing on the Menu Bar.

  • Where the hell is that old flash player?

    Hi guys,
I'm new here , just wanted to ask you a question.
last years I had an old flash player that was standalone and
I run flash games and other swf files with that.
but not only me , I see lots of other people want that old
    standalone flash player.
It had an black icon with a white F on it.
please let me know how can i get it.
    thanks.

There never was standalone player for download. It only comes
    exclusively with the installation
of Flash application. Publicly available players are only
browser based. If you have an old Flash app,
then you can get the player. That's the only way to have
    standalone, installing Authoring flash program.
By the way, when you say "lots of other people...", what you
mean? I see this post first time
in the forum... Perhaps you use wrong phrasing and the thing
you are looking for is not Standalone
    Player?

    1. Make a bootable system floppy disk by typing [FORMAT A:/S] from the DOS prompt.
    2. Download the BIOS file from MSI web page.
    3. Extract the BIOS file into the bootable floppy.
    4. Boot up system with the bootable floppy disk.
    5. Run Award (Ex. Awdfl770) or AMI (Ex. amifl822.exe) Flash utility & follow the on-screen
       instructions.
    6. After flashing the BIOS, reboot system, press [DEL] to go into BIOS setup.
    7. Select [Load Setup Default] for or [Load Optimized Defaults] and press Key [Enter] and
       press Key [Y].
    8. Press Key [F10] than answer [Y] to reboot system again and finish upgrade procedure.
I think this F10 key (above) is (a shortcut key for [save & exit] inside BIOS).

  • How the hell do you stop ATI Catalyst from controling the colours?!

Hi all, I've posted this on the ATI website but thought I'd try here for some expertise from the Adobe people because this has to do with colour profiles and people here may know more.
This is beginning to annoy me. Sorry for the bad tempered start.
I've just bought a 1GB Sapphire HD 4850. And to cut a long story short, when I'm using my Adobe products, there is a colour tint to all images. When I had my previous nVIDIA card, I had no problem. When I uninstall all drivers, again there is no problem with colours. But when I install the Catalyst software, I have problem.
Now, I'm a photographer and use Lightroom, Photoshop and Bridge regularly. I just upgraded to CS4 which I'm still trying out. (I have no idea if this happens in CS3 as it's no longer on my computer.) I got the card on Friday, shot a wedding yesterday. As you can imagine, I'm not in the best mood. I've searched and searched and it seems to be down to the colour profiling which is enforced. After reading http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=279&threadid=97593 I've tried installing Powerstrip and loading the colour profile before I installed the card, but that hasn't worked. In fairness, I haven't spent too long figuring out how to use Powerstrip. But at the same time, I don't want Catalyst managing any profiles. My monitor and programs are just fine without it. Furthermore, I'd like to be able to easily choose what manages what.
So please, anyone, how to I completely remove all colour control from Catalyst. Either that or how can I
    System:
Phenom 9950 BE on M3A32-MVP Deluxe mobo
4gb ram (but only 3 used because I'm using XP Pro SP3)
    1gb Sapphire HD4850 using Catalyst 8.11
Lenovo L220x (primary) and Viewsonic VX924 (secondary)

[newsreader autoquote deleted by forum host]
It's simple, delete it. Catalyst is unnecessary for the operation of
your computer. When you delete it be sure you don't get the video driver
or you will have to go the ATI site and download it again. And if you do
you can down load just the driver without Catalyst.
Catalyst is a video tool for people who don't want to use the tool that
    is built into windows.

  • How the hell do I choose and install plugins now in FF4? It was easy in FF3, but now it seems so clunky. What happened?

What ever happened to just going to the add-ons page on the Firefox website from Firefox and then choosing the plugin section? Am I stupid...or is it now really, really clunky to install new plugins?? One would think that in the plugin page in the FF4 browser you have a way to add more plugins...but I can't find it.

Yeah...the first two are what I'm used to. I admit, I too can get to those pages but I was just ranting about how you really can't readily get to those pages without having to memorize or bookmark the url. It was so convenient in prior iterations of FF, but with the new one it seems like you're just left out if you don't know what you're looking for. I'm just surprised it was taken out, because I don't see the the disadvantage of leaving it in.
Thanks, though. I'm still think I'm missing something.

  • How to hell do I sinstall flash player? .

There's no guide on how to do this on the wiki, and whenever I untar the tar.gz on adobe's site, it just extracts some unrunable file.

    You need to look harder.

  • Please!  How the hell do I use javax.sql in WSAD?

I am migrating from VAJ 3.5 to WSAD 4.0. I am getting errors at certain import statements, such as the ones for javax.sql. I noticed that this package is not in WSAD. Is there another package it uses instead? How can I import this package?

I highly doubt it uses another package. I know the javax.sql package comes with j2se 1.4 but I'm not sure about previous releases. If WSAD is like VAJ you may just need to add the package into the workspace.

  • I have a Creative Cloud for teams (one year membership) called Chuna AG.  I have an Adobe ID...how the hell do I sign into it and see the media that is being uploaded

I signed on for a chat with someone, waited 15 minutes and then it closed with no one appearing and is now telling me to quit my browser and start again which I do not want to do as I have a load of windows open I need to keep available

Well guess I will try another chat window and see if that closes before anyone answers me and forces me to close my browser

  • How the hell do I report Firefox 4.0 hanging?

I installed Firefox 4.0 but, when using Gmail (I don't know if the hang is specific to Gmail) Firefox would suddenly close and the whole Windows 7 system would hang and I can only shut the PC off using the Power button on the PC. Even Ctrl+Alt+Delete would not invoke Task Manager.
I uninstalled ver 4.0 and reinstalled 3.6.16 and all works as it should.
I can see no-where within the Firefox help/support pages to make a report except here.

In F.F 4 can the latest added bookmark be placed (by default) at the top of the list instead of the bottom?
    a. More to the point could the settings be changed to show boolmarks listed the newest on top and the oldest at the bottom instead of what the current default does with the bookmarks?
    b. could the list be sorted to show in alphabetical order A to Z and/or Z to A?
    Thank you again.

  • Please help i am going nuts...how the hell do i disable firefox i need to install latest adobe flkash player. i have spent 3 hours trying to work this out help please

please will someone just contact me. i need to disable firefox. i am literally crying.

Thanks for your reply, and yes, I have the output selected in the channel strip.
I acutally did get it working last night right before I called it quits, but still am having one odd issue.
I set my channel strips up to send to the coreect outputs (backing track to mains, backing track with click to monitor mix), but the click kept jumping back to the main mix.  I would set the output to monitors, but when the tracks would play the click track would suddenly play through the mains, and the drop-down output selector would read "Main"?????
I thought it was something at the Concert level, so I changed it there as well, but still no luck.
Haven't ruled out that some of this has something to do with my Mbox Pro settings, but I see nothing there that would be causing issues.
Ever heard of a output changing like that?  This happened repeatedly, I kept chaninging it to monitors, it came chaning itself back....crazy.
    Thanks again for the help!

I am pretty sure that they know about it but another complaint would not go amiss. It might help chase them up on a fix.
