As for the printing aspect: if the project is loose sheets and will be assembled with wire o binding or spiral binding, then you need to provide single pages with bleeds on all sides. If the project will be saddle stitched, then there is absolutely no need to provide single pages. If the project will be perfect bound, [but in your case of 20 pages, this will most likely not be the binding method] you don't need bleed in the gutter, however there are printers who like and prefer bleeds in the gutter.
As for the InDesign aspect: If you need to provide single pages for the printer based on binding criteria, then reassembly document with single pages, extending all necessary bleeds.

How the page should redirect when we click a link using sessions

Hi Friends,
I have two links namely Gujarati and English in the page. before logon to the application, when i click the Gujarati link, the total content of the page should change to Gujarati and for english as same..How to do this using sessions and Internationalization(i18n).
It can be easy if anybody is using Property files and resourcebundle.

I will give u a very simple example of using session here.
Lets say you have 2 links in your HTML or JSP page: Gujarati | English
In you nextPage.jsp, you need to do the following:
<%@ page session="true" %>
By using page directive with session attribute to true will make HTTPSession implicit object available with you in your JSP.
Now you can save your request parameter lang to this session for further identification of user's selection for the language.
This is how it can be add user selected language into sessions in JSP:

session.setAttribute("Language", request.getParameter("lang"));
%>
To retrieve this value for further usage, you can use the following:
<%
String lang = (String)session.getAttribute("Language");
%>
If you are using servlet instead of JSP, you can handle the same by having following lines of code in your servlet:
To set a value or object in the session:

request.setAttribute("Language", request.getParameter("lang"));
to retrieve a value or object from the session:
HttpSession session = request.getSession();
String language = (String)request.getAttribute("Language");
I hope this helps to solve your problem for having selected language using sessions. Once you know which language the user has selected you can use internationalization to convert your pages to other languages.

Do you have a Page Layout or a Word Processing document? The former has an icon/button named Pages in the toolbar and the latter the same icon is named section.
Addition, I first now saw that talked about spreadsheet. Pages has tables and the cells can't flow from one page to the next. Tables can only break over to the next page between rows.
Personally I think it is a bad habit to use tables for text except in a few occasions.

Java script is not working while coming back to the page.

I am working in jdev 11.1.1.3.0 with ADF BC.
I am callling javascript in my jsff, while this javascrip is invoking file download method. this java script i am inovking from another button action, because in some case i need to invoke popup and some case i need to invoke file download for this i have taken one button in that button i am invoking these 2 based on some condition. everything is working fine except if i move another jsff and come back to this jsff then the file download is not happening.
can any one tell me what is the issue here.

Hi:
So it's the "erks.addScript(context, "customHandler();");" may not work properly the next time coming back from another jsff.
And very likely the statement of: var exportCmd = AdfPage.PAGE.findComponentByAbsoluteId("pt1:pt_region0:1:cb1") in your javascript command gave you error. Are you sure that "pt1:pt_resion0:1:cb1" is valid all the time no matter how the page is rendered?

I start scrolling a little bit and then the page uncontrollable scrolls down to the bottom of the page slowly. During which time firefix is unresponsive.

I will scroll down the page with either the keyboard, mouse or by click on the onscreen scroll bar and it will start uncontrolably scrolling to the bottom of the page. It also crashes a lot.

The page numbering goes with the section which derives from the template you used to create the page.
For example you would have a Preface section with certain +master objects+ that numbers with roman numerals.
Then you would have the body of the book following which restarts the count from 1 and uses Arabic numbers. This again would have its own +master objects+.
You need to insert the page numbers you want in the section's +master objects+ . Do this by going to +Menu > Format > Advanced > Make master objects editable+ .
The +master objects+ are what repeats on each page. What I think you have done is insert the page number only on the page you are looking at, which is why it has only inserted once.
I presume you will be inserting your page numbers in the Header or Footer which you will be able to see if you go to +Menu > View > Show Layout+ .
To control how the pages are numbered and with which number they start go to +Toolbar > Inspector (the blue icon with the i in it) > Layout (2nd tab) > Section+ and set what you want there.

How the Identity is used in WSA

I would like to better understand how the Identity fits into the overall scheme of things when determining which policy will be run on a WSA. Is there a link or a doc someone may refer me to for this?

Identity in WSA is used to identify the user requesting web access. It can be used to create policies based on the IP address of the machines or the Authenticated username/groups of the users.

Green letter "K" near every link on the page

Any page i open - it displays green letter K near every link on the page. How to remove it? Thanks!

Thanks a lot for the reply! i attached the image, that's how the page looked before. I started Firefox in Safe Mode - everything was ok, then pressed "Exit" and started the browser in normal mode, and since then these green letters are not displayed anymore. I didn't understand why they disappeared as i didn't change anything, but - ok, at least nothing is annoying now! Thanks once more! :-)

How to change the page layout to fit 2 portlets in a row?

I am very new to Plumtree portal, please be gentle.
We are in the trial and design phase for our company's portal and we are tring Plumtree now.
We selected the page layout as one narrow panel and one wide panel. In the wide panel, I have a wide portlet to fit the whole row on the top, then we want to divide to 2 columns under the first portlet as the middle section of the page, so that we can place 1 chart on left side and 1 chart on right side of the wide panel.
HOW TO DO IT?
also, now I developed 2 testing portlets in vb.net. Top one is the wide one. The 2nd one is a chart, when I deployed it in the page, the chart overlaps the top portlet! HOW TO FIX IT?

By default you can only lay out the portlets in the assigned columns and cannot span, but you could try cheating (I don't know what the impacts of this might be, though, so be careful)
Change the layout to a 2-column that also has a content canvas (darker gray box). For your portlet you want to have span both columns, set it up as a content canvas (you may have to re-register it). I think that might work, but... honestly, I don't know enough about content canvas settings to konw what might happen down the road. I'm hoping "a portlet is a portlet is a portlet"

It also sounds like you're using gridlayout on your .NET portlet - you'll want to change that to use flow. Grid will use absolute positioning (bad here). I'd suggest reading the .NET web consumer install / developer PDF for additional info on how to get ASP.NET portlets to work.

Correct the Locked full screen IS windows behavior and has not been the way Mac OS has worked to-date.
Its a long standing bone of contention especially among early switchers that are so used to having IE/MS Word/ Outlook etc.. spread across their monitor with a swathe of white each side of the actual text.
OSx behavior is based on a true desktop and a genuine multi tasking metaphor (Also the reason Macs own range monitors have been wide screen for so long)
It is designed to enhance work flow and specifically take advantage of TRUE full drag and drop across the entire OS with use of the desktop as a conduit rather than simply programme launcher (The way many Windows users do)
Interestingly with the continued OS convergence today see W7 acknowledge that the locked screen approach being obsolete in a multi tasking work environment with "new" the snap to feature allow two windows side by by side
(Its actually not new but automated tile windows vertically that's be there since the dawn of time (hidden like much of windows - Right click over the task bar choose Tile Windows Vertically - Very intuitive !)
At the same time Apple are building in Full Screen functionality into OS10.7 Lion !
Personally not sure i'll be using it !

I think you are talking about grouping objects.
1. They must all be floating objects
2. Command click on each in turn

I want to make 4x6 study notecard/flashcards, how do I change the page size to fit the cards I need, I want them to print on a standard size paper, but keep the text in a 4x6 margin, new to mac please help!!

The Idea is to set my paper size and page layout to a pre-screened 4x6 layout, which I can add and insert txt/pictures, when I need to print, I should be able to fit 2 per page, if not that's okay, but when I print them I will cut off the excess paper and glue the rest to a notecard, any ideas, NEW TO MAC PAgES

Menu > File > New from Template Chooser > Sidebar > Page Layout > Blank > Blank Canvas
If you need to have two cards on one page then just set up one using text boxes and images to the 4 x 6 (inches?), group them and option shift drag a second copy down the page so you then have 2 and alter the copy as you need.
Change the text and images to placeholders, capture those as a Layout and then save that as a template.
