How the sales returns will effect after rebate settlement in sap

Dear SD Experts,
I have a query that the Rebate settlement is done (Material Rebate) after that the sales returns has taken place and again in the credit memo the system is showing the rebate accruals.
Can any one please suggest me how the actual postings will takes place? what changes need to be done to reverse the rebate accrual already posted.
Thanks in advance.
Anjan kumar

Hi Imran
1. The first entry should ideally happen along with the invoice posting or when you run VBOF.
Dr. Rebate Discount
Cr. Rebate Accrual
This means that rebate accruals are happening. This means you are keeping a provision to pay. You are booking a liability in your books.
2. The second entry is when you pay out to the customer.
Dr. Rebate Accrual
Cr. Customer
This means you are reducing the customer balance by adjusting against the liability. Ideally this entry is passed when you do a partial settlement. If a final settlement is executed then the additional accruals if any in the account will get reversed.
3. While taking returns the entry that you say that is happening is
Dr. Customer
Cr. Rebate Accrual
This is also correct since he has returned the good, we ideally should not pass on the benefit to him. Additionally if this is happening that means the rebate is still active. When you finally settle the rebate if there is any balance in the rebate account it will get reversed. This means liability will be reversed in your books of accounts.
Thanks

    Hi Steve,
You can bring the GRC framework to a state equivalent to a raw install by following options:
Option 1.) You should have a base-line backup before GRC installation. If so then apply that base-lin backup and deploy GRC components. If there is no base-lin backup, then
Option 2.) Uninstall and re-install J2EE and then follow up with rest of the installation process. If you don't want to go through re-install process, then
    **Correction to Option 3**
Option3.) SAP is in process of creating a SAP Note for Delete script, Instead of delivering Delete Script script via OSS message.  Will update you as soon as the Note gets released.
Please refere to Note # 1416728 to Manage your deletion in RAR 5.3 SP10.
    Hope this helps.

Apart from the SAP Help link which I have already gone through, does anyone have any kind of documentation available around.

I brought ipad just 28 days back before this problem arrives...
I got my iPad Air replaced once due to a tiny crack on the back of the device. Apple replaces it with a brand new iPad Air but it doesn't come in a retail box (like the ones they sell at the stores). The replacement is in a brown box (if I remember correctly) with no markings. There's no charger/cable in the box. It's not a refurbished device. It's brand new.

  • Sales Return from Customer after 180 days

    Hi,
I have a requirement on sales return, if the return is done after 180 days, government does not allow to adjust the respective tax amount relating to that return goods.
    For example:/sales invoice:
    Customer Dr 110
    Tax          Cr   10
    Sales       Cr 100
In case of return this entry will reversed (if it is partial partial amount will be reversed).
    Requirement:
If the return is happened after 180 days, tax reverse can not be accepted.
In this case what is the scenario.
    1.  Is this tax amount goes to Tax expnese account (Dr P/L account)
    2.  Is this tax amount added to Material Stock value
Please update me which more details.
    Thanks
    Partha

    Hi,
Perhaps Note 34526 - Delivery free of charge and value-added tax will suggest you a solution. You must handle it with a VOFM in the pricing procedure.
    I hope this helps you

    Hi
    SAPu2019S GENERAL STATUS MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONALITY
General Status Management replaced order status management functionality in recent SAP releases (4.6C).  This discussion will address general status management, as this is how SAP allows user statuses for controlling objects in this and future releases.
General Status Management applies to internal orders, project definitions, WBS elements, production orders and many other objects in SAP.  For the purposes of this discussion we will concentrate on status management for internal orders and WBS elements.  A list of all objects relevant for status management will be made available upon request.
A status is an indicator that fulfills two functions.  First, it informs you that a particular status has been reached.  For example, an internal order has been created and released; a settlement rule has been entered; a particular business transaction has been executed, etc.  Second, it influences the business transactions you can perform for a particular status.  A status can allow a business transaction; allow a business transaction but issue a warning message; or prohibit a business transaction altogether.  If a warning message is issued it is up to the user whether the business transaction is carried out or not.
Statuses can be used to control and communicate.  Statuses can be used in reporting (show me a report of all internal orders with a status of TECO, or technically complete).  Statuses can be used as selection criteria (select all internal orders with a status of CLSD, or closed).  Statuses can communicate the state of an object (ready for archiving, not ready for settlement execution).
There are SAP standard delivered statuses that apply to all object types.  These are known as SYSTEM STATUSES.  CRTD, REL, SETC, TECO are examples of SAP standard system statuses.  SAP standard system statuses cannot be removed from use.  You cannot override the SAP system status with a user status.  You cannot change the behavior of an SAP system status.
User statuses (or user defined statuses) exist in addition to SAP standard statuses.  User statuses are intended to augment or refine SAP standard statuses, not replace them.  There is no limitation to the number of user statuses that can be created.  Both system and user statuses influence business transactions in the same way.
An object can have multiple statuses active at the same time.  A plant maintenance order can have released, preliminarily costed, work order printed and confirmed statuses all at the same time.  For SAP display purposes only one status can be displayed on the status line in master data screens, but it is possible to see all active statuses for an object at one time by drilling down into the master data screens.
A STATUS PROFILE, or user status profile, contains individual user statuses and the business transaction rules defined for those statuses.  There is no limit to the number of user status profiles that can be maintained in SAP.  A user status profile is assigned to an order type or a project profile in configuration.  This user status profile is then defaulted into all objects that reference that order type or project profile.  A users status profile can be overwritten (or deleted) in an individual object (via native master data screens), but only if a user status has yet to be activated for that particular object.  Once a user status has been activated for that object the user status profile cannot be changed.
    HOW STATUS MANAGEMENT WORKS
When an object (internal order, WBS element, production order) is created SAP assigns the system status CRTD.  MIT automatically releases the order, so the system status REL is also activated.  If there is a user status profile defined in the order type (or project profile) this is carried over into the internal order (or WBS element).  If not, only the SAP system statuses will apply to this object.
When a user executes a business transaction for this object, SAP checks the user status to see if that business transaction can be executed without any additional influence from a user status, can be executed but with a warning message being issued, or cannot be executed at all.  SAP also checks whether the business transaction sets or deletes any other user statuses within the user status profile.
A user status may also be maintained directly in the object master data.  Accessing the master data screens allows a user to manually maintain user statuses.  If necessary, an authorization code can be assigned to a user status to ensure that no unauthorized persons can change the status of an object.  Once changed, the new user status is fully active and acts no differently than if a business transaction set the user status.
Status management and business transaction control only work with standard SAP transactions.  Z transactions will not show up on the business transaction list for an object.  The business transaction table is configurable, but SAP strongly recommends not changing that table.  SAP directly updates that table via support packs and it is often impacted during upgrades.
Authorization codes / keys are available in user statuses.  The authorization code is checked only when user statuses are being set manually, from within the objectu2019s master data screens.  This ensures the user has the proper authorization to set that status for that particular object.  However, it is important to understand that SAP sets a user status in reaction to a business transaction it does not perform an authorization check.

  • How the sales orders in CRM replicated to ECC??????????

    Hello gurus
I am implementing CRM with integration with ERP, I would like to know if I have more than one type of sales documents in CRM and I want to replicate them to ECC do I have to have the same number of the sales document types in ECC or only one document type in ECC and all the CRM Sales document types will be replicated to it
Secondly regarding the service order processing , is it replicated to sales order or service order in ECC also do I have to have the same number of sales, service document type
If there are any useful links please provide
    Thanks
    Jacopo Françoise

    Hi Jacopo Françoise
There are some prerequisites for replication.
    1. Your Item categories need to be configured to be released to R/3 for specific puposes like Pick, pack and delivery reasons.
    2. Only Sales transaction and delivery related transactions will be replicated to R/3 like Sales Orders and Service orders.
    3. When it goes to R/3 every order is a sales order type like Sales Order CRM - Replicated as Sales Order
    4. When replicate the documents it is important that you must have same document types and same item categories..
    5. If billing documents are directly created in R/3 then you dont need the exact same doucments, but your item categories will play a major role in creating a mapped document in R/3. you still have to map appripriate settings to tell the system on what item categories talk to what Doucment types.
Thats the overview but list could go on... let me know if you have any specific issues
    Thanks
    Raj

  • Wiring in the house strange, will effect Infinity ...

    Hi there,
Recently a BT engineer came out to sort out our phone line after moving into a new house on the 12th. I originally booked the phone line and Infinity install on 5th March and was given 5th April as the install date. (Looooooong!)
Anyway, I rang up to request an earlier appointment to get the phone line working because my gf is heavily pregnant and our mobile signals are dicey most days, we need a landline.
The engineer turned up, enjoyed my nice colombian filter coffee which he more than deserved after the hassle he had to put up with.
The house was built in 2005 and nobody has ever had a landline here. For some reason the builders had the phone master socket in the kitchen, ran upstairs into the bedroom, across to the other bedroom and then finally down into the living room where I want the blasted thing.
I requested that ALL of the extensions be taken out of the loop and only have one line to the new "master socket". We want one phone plugged in, that's all.
My gf realised that in one of the bedrooms the gentleman forgot to replace the faceplate and there are wires hanging out the wall.
Will this interfere with my Infinity install? Did the extension wires (I assume that's what they are) being open ended cause a problem with the connection in anyway?
He assured me that there was only one line connected through to the main socket in the living room.
Retarded builders, who on earth wants their master socket in the kithen? WTF!
    Thoughts?

  • Quality inspected stock for the sales return material

    Hi,
For the very first time I'm working on Reworking order type. There was a material from customer return. My client want to reprocess it. So for the testing purpose in quality,  I activated inspection type 06 (Inspection for returns from customer) for the material and transferred it to QI. Then I created a manual inspection lot and made defects recording and usage decision as Rejected. Now my question is where will the stock go after usage decision?
    Hoping for quick replies.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Praveen

    hi,
655 is for returns direct to QI stck. lot may be either 05 or 06 type.
if u want than as i already suggest you assign 05 type against return order type in Configuration (SPRO).
Quality management-> Quality Inspection -> Quality Inspection -> Inspection lot Creation> Inspection at shipping-->Define inspection lot origin to delivery type.
