How the system determines the Requirement type  for one sales order

Please tell me how the system determines the Requirement type  for one sales order?

Hi,
System follows some search criterial to determine the requirement type
1. First, an attempt is made to find a requirements type using the strategy group in the material master.
2. If the strategy group has not been maintained, the system will determine it using the MRP group.
3. If the MRP group has not been defined, the system uses the material type instead of the MRP group when accessing the corresponding control tables.
4. If no requirements type is found here, the system assumes a special rule and attempts to find a requirements type with the aid of the item category and the MRP type.
5. If this is not possible, a last attempt is made to find a requirements type with the item category only.
6. If the last attempt fails, the system declares the transaction as not relevant for the availability check or transfer of requirements.
Please check the path
SPRO->SALES & DISTRIBUTIONS->BASIC FUNCTIONS>AVAILABILITY CHECK AND TOR->TRANSFER OF REQUIREMENTS--->DETERMINATION OF REQUIREMENT TYPE USING TRANSACTION.

    Hi,
    When sales agent is placing sales order at customer site, customer declares as well products or returned packages he would like to return. our business need is to combine all items (return products,  return packages and ordered items) into one sales order.
    However, we would like to split the sales order into 2 different delivery types. Sales order customizing dictates only one default delivery type per order.
    We can set up split criteria via copy control according to item category, but how can we intervene during creation of deliveries and set up a rule to determine different delivery type then default for return items ?

    Dear Assaf,
    Through copy control settings you can create two delivery types for single sales order but you have to select the delivery type manually while creating delivery.
    If you want automatic process then you need go for some Zdevelopment with the help of ABAPer.

  • Deactivate the automatic determination of Requirement type

    How can i deactivate the automatic determination of Requirement type for a particular transaction (eg.va01).
    I know it is determined automatically based on one of the following
    1.Strategy group assigned to the materiaL master.
    2.MRP group in material master.
    3.Material type
    4.Item category and MRP type.
    5.Item category.
    I want this to be deactivated for a particular transaction. How do i do it?

    Hi,
    As soon as you save an order.VA01..the requriements of each line item are trasnferred to MM/PP depending on the planning strategy chosen for each material at the material master record. Therefore there is no chance of deactive the requriement type.
    I'm not sure but try this exist,
    V45S0003 MRP-relevance for incomplete configuration
    V45S0004 Effectivity type in sales order.

  • Two deliveries required for one sales order

    Hello Friends,
    I have a quirey , I have two types of goods in one sales order, one is dangerous goods and other one is normal. How ever we are thinking to make two seperate deliveries even they are in one sales order. How can two diff deliveries gets created.
    We are planning to create new shipping point with new loading group for the dangerous goods .
    Will the above decision works or is there any simplest way to create two auto deliverys for one sales order.

    I have yet another proposal - using copy control and adding there dangerous goods profile LIPS-PROFL as split criterial. This field is populated originally from material master MARA-PROFL field.  You can check for example routine FV50C201. Split criteria are defined in likp-zukrl field.
    I think that is better solution then introducing new shipping point. Because there are some determinations and dependencies related to shipping points. So the more shipping points you have, the more additional config you have. If it is needed by business to have separate shipping points - then fine. But if the goods are shipped from the same place, then I would rather modify copy control instead of multiplying config and master data. I say duplicated effort in master data - because with 2 shippiong points you would need to maintain DG profile field and additionally loading group.

  • Want to change output type for 10000 sales orders through MASS

    Hi Friends,
    I would like to change the Output type in the sales order for 10000 sales orders.
    Can I do with MASS transaction. If so, Plz let me know how ?
    Is there any other process to change the output type for 10000 sales orders, as its difficult to manually in each and every sales order.
    Its very urgent issue, Plz let me know at the earliest.

    This may be little tough for 10000 sales orders.
    1. You have to remove the output record for the irrelevant output record using tcode VV12 for the relevant document type. So now for the document type, the old output wont be triggered.
    2. Now, create output records for hte correct output type in VV11 tcode(for the output type BA03) for the document type. Now this output will be triggered for all the document types you are creating from now onwards.
    3. To trigger the output type BA03, in all the old orders, you just have to open these sales orders in change mode (VA02), and just save it. When u open it the output type BA03 will be automatically triggered as the master data is maintained in VV11. But because just opening all the 10000 sales orders in VA02 one by one be a mechanical task, you have to think of some tool for this.
    May be a CATT procedure can do the trick. Else, you can just create a small program, where you can upload these sales orders and the program will just open these orders in change mode and just saves it (without making any changes). Then the output will be retriggered.
    Here again, if you are printing the output directly, it is advisable to trigger the output in batch mode(Date/Time field is 1 in VV11), and then you can again trigger the printing again using the program RSNAST00 after office hours for these 10k orders.

    Hi,
    Is there any way to find the system status(line item) directly by providing sales order number?
    Iam following the below procedure,but it takes lot of time:
    VBAP-object number
    JEST-system status
    TJ02T- status text.
    Please provide some suggestions or work arounds to find the system status.
    I have gone through entire sdn, but couldnt find an answer.

  • Two billing for one sales order for same customer

    Dear All ,
    I have a requirement of posting a two billings for one sales order.
    One is for Sales and another is for commission...
    Entry could be
    Sales Entry - Db Customer
                        Cr  Sales
    Commission entry could be
    Db - Cusomter
    Cr- Sales commission income account (P/L)
    We are having third party sales scenario , In this case billing is MIRO dependent.
    Once the miro is done then only billing is possible ...
    Could you please advise on that ..

    I already did that but it is not serving business purpose.
    Comm payment  - comes diff time than sales payment.
    so ,I will post one entry customer will get hit with total amount Sales + commission
    like below
    Let say 10, 000 is the sales value and 500 is the commission
    So , This entry will get posted
    Customer Db- 10,500
    Sales Cr- 10,000
    Comm Income Cr- 500
    But, As I said sales amt will be paid before so We need to clear it partially and some time customer pays also diff amount due to some defect.
    So, We wont be knowing for which case we have or havnet received the payment against commission.
    As , Customer account is got hit with total amount( Sales+ Comm..value).
    Pls advise how to solve this.

  • Two invoices for one sales order

    I want to create two invoices for one sales order
    Scenario is like to create sales order for value of 100 $, and I want to send order reference billing after saving the sales order for 10% of order amount
    I would say 10% of 100 $
    And after delivery I want to issue a invoice for 90 %( rest of the amount) which is delivery relevant invoice.
    Both invoices will be relevant of accounting.
    Would any body suggest this, how it would be mapped it in to SAP.

    It is possible in Partial billing. Maintain the Billing plan and create a plan with the inputs as u specified.
    Go to IMG-SD-Billing-Billing plan.   Do ur own configuration for Billing plan.
    Now in Sales document creation mode....header details-Billing plan, U block the billing schedules and as per ur requirement , remove the billing block and create billing document.
    If u configured Account detrmination procedure, U wld get the accounting document wrt billing document.

  • More than 3 AR for one Sales Order in relationship map

    Hello,
    i would need some advice on the following: If you have more than 3 Invoice for one Sales order these are not shown seperately in the relationship map. SAP could reproduce the issue and refers to it as normal system procedure at the moment. They adviced me to post a thread here.Is there any way you could make the invoices be seen one by one.

    Welcome to the forum.
    If you have any suggestions you post them on sap's new idea collaboration page. You do bring up a good point and hopefully in 8.82 it will be resolved as the relationship map was not originally on the road map. Hopefully they can develop this feature.

    I want to create a ecatt script for one sales order creation with multiple line items. Preferably SAP GUI.
    This selection of data will be from an external file/ variants which will have only one row of data in it.
    Firstly: I have to sort the external file having same PO Numbers in an order.Group them together.
    Second: I have to create sales order for those many line items having same PO Number.

    Firstl you should upload the Line items for a particular sales Order in an Internal table
    and then pass that internal table to your BAPI during your coding corresponding to a particu;lar sales order

  • VL10C double delivery notes for one sales order

    Dear all,
    Currently we encountered an very strange issue in our SAP.  we found that via VL10C, SAP create two duplicated ourbound delivery notes for one sales order, which resulted in a double items and amount in the billing document. These two deliveries notes are complete the same, which were created with 7 sec interval via VL10C. Check in the sales order, we can see delivery Qty was double against order Qty for all the items.
    does anyone have a clue on this issue? your effort and feedback will be most applicated!

  • Two  outbound Delivery for one sales order

    I am an Abaper and i have to find the root couse of this problem
    problem is  two outbound delivery getting generated for one sales order with same no of quantity
    Now i am unable to find the approch what can be root cause of this problem , I checked the details of these deliveries these are created by some job , but even in job history any positive solution comeout,
    please suggest me what are other ways or causes of this problem

    Delivery split will be there is the header data in shipping is different.
    For eg of shipping points, delivery dates, ship-to etc are different.
    Apart from this in the copy control routines at the headerlevel from OR to LF in VTLA, there might be some customized code written to split the deliveries. Possible conditions could be items from different warehouses / storage locs or if the quantity is more, then a delivery split.
    Pls check if there is any customised code written in copy control routines in VOFM.

  • Automatic Batch Determination is not happening for New Sales Order Type

      I have created a new sales order type ZBPY - For Free Sales, but automatic batch detrmination and batch pick up is not happening for new sales order type,  but it is activated for all the other sales order types in Production Server, can any body let me know the steps how to map this new order type to batch management and let it behave like other order types.

    Kindly check the following steps for automatic batch determination.
    1. First check the material is maintained with batch in the warehouse management.
    2. Maintain new entry for search procedure for batch determination with the new created doc type.
    3. Maintain new entry for automatic batch determination for sales order or automatic batch determination for delivery ( This depends on the business process of our client, whether they want to determine the batch with sales order or at the delivery level. check this and make new entry)
    4. Create Batch using T.code MSC1N with proper date of manuf. and SLED.
    5. Create Batch Search Strategy using T.code VCH1 with proper strategy type.
    6. Maintain stock with active batch. check this with t.code LS26 or LS24.

  • Multiple quotation for one sales order

    Hi all,
    My requirment is to create one sale order that reference from many quotations.  From what I try in CRM, when I want to create a follow-up document, I have to start from the quotation and choose create follow-up document then the sale order will be created. However, that's only good for one quotation one sale order. 
    What I want is to have a sale order that referenced from many quotations, is this possible in CRM?

    As u rightly said one quotation one sale order as a folow up.
    But u can make use of <b>Object Relationship Profile</b>, to be added in ur transaction type of sales order.
    So after creating a sales order in refernce to a quotation, u can add other quotation in the Relationship tab which gets added to the Transaction screen.
    This will also update the document flow.
    The object Relationship Profile can be added in trnasaction type as well as Item Category.

    The same concept told earlier for shipments holds good here.
    We can have n number of deliveries for a single sales order.
    One of the example is Availiblity check.
    If all the items in an SO is NOT confirmed at once, multiple deliveries are to be made for that SO.
    So, Depending on the business case, we can have reasons, why an SO can have multiple deliveries.
