How to access AdvancedDatagrid column Header information?

I have an AdvancedDatagrid with custom Column header
renderers.
column = new AdvancedDataGridColumn("Header Text");
column.headerRenderer = new
ClassFactory(PE_FilterHeaderRenderer);
MyAdvancedDataGrid.columns = [column];
Within my header renderer class I have some code to implement
the children the way that I want. Now.. does anyone know how to
access those headers from the outside without storing off an
intance of the header itself within the class. Basically, I need to
get the right header and access an accessor within that header to
set something to change the header text and such if the user does
something to the datagrid. Any ideas would be helpfull..
Thanks!

Hi Michael,
If you just want to retrieve the data, you could use the following code.
//Get the node which the table is bound to
IWDNode node = wdContext.nodeTable();
//iterate thru the elements
for(int i = 0 ; i<node.size();i++)
  IWDNodeElement ne = node.getElementAt(i);
  Object value = ne.getAttributeValue("<column name>");
  //Here you have the data in the value variable
  //and you can manipulate this now

  • How to I hide column heading completely ?

    There is a similar post on 10g - How to I hide column heading completely ?
    The solution is - To achieve this, go to Edit Table View, open Table View Properties. Here you should see an option called 'Display table and column Headings'. Here set its value to 'No column or table headings'.
    I'm on 11.1.1.5 and when I go to Edit Table view -> Table View properties -> Display Folder & Column Headings , I see four values as below but there is no value 'No column or table headings'. The values are -
    -Only column headings
    -As separate rows
    -As Folder.column
    -As Folder.column (where needed)
    Is this 'No column or table headings' value no more available in 11.1.1.5 ? Is there any alternative method to achieve this?
    I'm able to hide the column header using various ways e.g. setting Display Heading option, but when I download the results it has either the header present or an empty row. In 10g the option 'No column or table headings' removed the header completely from the download file.
    Any suggestions please?

    Anybody has any thoughts on why 'No column or table headings' option is removed from 11g or is it just 11.1.1.5?
    Is this a bug or any other feature has been provided to achieve the same?

  • How to fix the column header width in BEx or WAD

    hi there!
    how to fix the column header width in BEx or WAD. because, depends on the column data, the column size varies. i want to fix the size so that i can maintain the consistency through out the report.
    thanks!
    Vam.

    Dear Vam,
    you can easily do that with css, search the source code of the executed web template for the td tag which is around your coloumn header, remember the style sheet class name it is ´displayed as class= in the td tag.
    Now you can add this code the beginning of your web template:
    </style>
    This will only work in Web.

  • How to ignore the column header in GUI_UPLOAD

    Hi,
    I am trying to use GUI_UPLOAD to upload data from text file into a table. However there is no parameter to ignore the column headers in this function. how can i set to ignore the column headers in this function?

    Check the function module documentation and also refer to the parameter: HEADER_LENGTH
    Length of Header for Binary Data
    Description
    Specifies the length of the header information. You must only set this parameter if the file type is 'BIN'. The default value '00' means that there is no header in the file.
    Default
    '00'

  • How to change JTable column header text

    How do you set the text in the JTable column headers? I know you can create a JTable specifying the text in an array:
    <li>JTable(Object[][] rowData, Object[] columnNames)
    But if you create the JTable specifying a TableModel,
    <li>JTable(TableModel dm)
    the header text defaults to "A", "B", "C", etc. I cannot figure out how to access the text in the header names so it can be changed to something useful. I know how to get the JTableHeader for the table, but it does not seem to have methods for actually setting header values.

    I'm sure that model allows you to specify header values so you don't have to do so manually. I would be very surprised if it didn't override the default getColumnName() method to provide a reasonable names.She wasn't writing the class, but [url http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=9200751#9200751]outlining a design for me to implement. And, based on a previous comment I had made, I think she assumed I wanted the new design to look as much like the old as possible. There were no headers in the original design, which wasn't even a table.
    Anyway, this works:
        final static String statisticsColumnNames[] = {
         "Type", "Count",
         "Red QE", "Green QE", "Blue QE", "Average QE",
         "Distance"
         qErrors = new QEBeanTableModel();
         JTable errorTable = new JTable(qErrors);
         TableColumnModel tcm = errorTable.getColumnModel();
         for (int col = 0; col < statisticsColumnNames.length; col++)
             tcm.getColumn(col).setHeaderValue(statisticsColumnNames[col]);
    It looks like setHeaderValue() on the TableColumn is what I was looking for.Again, only used if you are dynamically changing the values at run time or you don't like the defaults provided by the Bean-aware model.I coded the above before I read your last post. The QEBeanTableModel is extremely specific to my program. I.e. I cannot imagine it being used anywhere else. Would it still be better to implement a getColumnName() within the table model? Looking at your [url http://www.camick.com/java/source/RowTableModel.java]RowTableModel.java source, I can see that it would not be difficult to do so.
    Just decided to add the getColumnName() method. This whole sub-project is based on implementing a clean modern design (and learning about Java Beans). You've clearly stated twice that the method I have implemented is for dynamic header values only, which has already answered what I asked last paragraph.

  • How display costom report column heading

    I am having report region with different columns, in that one column heading needs to be start with lower case like "iST Status" but always it is showing "IST Status".This has been reported before. See +{thread:id=1022033}+
    Add this style sheet to the page HTML Header (or use your preferred CSS override method):
    <style>
    th.t13ReportHeader {
      text-transform: none;
    </style>If you're not using theme 13, modify the selector accordingly.
    Can any one help me how can i achieve this.Help us to help you. When you have a problem you should provide as much relevant information as possible upfront. This should include:
    <li>Full APEX version
    <li>Full DB/version/edition/host OS
    <li>Web server architecture (EPG, OHS or APEX listener/host OS)
    <li>Browser(s) and version(s) used
    <li>Theme
    <li>Template(s)
    <li>Region/item type(s) (making particular distinction as to whether a "report" is a standard report, an interactive report, or in fact an "updateable report" (i.e. a tabular form)
    With APEX we're also fortunate to have a great resource in apex.oracle.com where we can reproduce and share problems. Reproducing things there is the best way to troubleshoot most issues, especially those relating to layout and visual formatting. If you expect a detailed answer then it's appropriate for you to take on a significant part of the effort by getting as far as possible with an example of the problem on apex.oracle.com before asking for assistance with specific issues, which we can then see at first hand.

  • How can I include the Header Information....for a File to IDOC Scenario

    Hi,
    I made a File to IDOC Scenario with DEBMDM06 for MDM>XI>SAP R/3. The Header Information in the XML File which is at the XI end is Missing. For that reason In Tcode SXMB_MONI we are getting an Error that <b>"HEADER Information Missing: Message should Start with EDI_DC40"</b> i.e the Header Information.
      My Question is that whether we can do some changes in the Message mapping Step in the Integration Repository. I HardCoded the Few mandatory Fields that were there but it Again gave me the Same Error as above.
    Can you please Suggest some Solution for this. Since the data is Coming in from MDM part the Header information is not there but It actually Important as it has got all the Port Information.
      Kindly Inform me some Solutions.
    Thanks & Regards
    Somnath

    Hi Suraj,
      Thanks for ur Reply, but Since we are Doing a File to IDOC Scenario the IDOC DEBMDM is on the Right Side in Message Mapping and as U know it is Mandatory to Map an IDOC on the Right Part. EDI_DC40 is coming as it is there in the IDOC but our XML File Does not have that. If we Don't Map then it Becomes RED, which is an Error.
      Furthermore in the Receiver Agreement we have put the Necessary Details such as Sender Service and Receiver Service along with the IDOC Communication Channels.
      Can U give as a Better Insight on this Note how to check the Header Part as it is mandatory to MAP.We also tried to HARDCODE it by putting those Values and Mapping them to a Constant but it is Giving the Same Error.
    Thanks and Regards

  • How to change the column header in XsltListView webpart

    I have a XsltListView webpart. By default it displays the column name in the header. How do I change the header and give a friendly name? I am able to change the header, if I click on header and position the cursor at the right spot and change. But sometimes
    it does not work. Is there any property which I can set in order to change the header? Thanks in advance.
    ss

    Hi ss,
    Do you use SharePoint 2007 or 2010? And the XsltListView Web part only available in SharePoint 2010.
    If you are using SharePoint 2010, to customize the header for each column, please try the following step.
    Open list view in advanced mode in SharePoint Designer.
    Select a header you need to modify > Click Customize XSLT under Design tab on the ribbon > Click “Customize Item”.
    Then we can see <xsl:value-of select="$fieldtitle"/> has selected in Code view > Replace it with the text you want to display on the header.
    For example, I want to display the string “customized header” in the header, then replace
    <xsl:value-of select="$fieldtitle"/>
    With
    Customized header
    Save the page and test.

  • How to display a Column Header for the characteristic Text column

    Hi All
    Our users want me to provide for a column header for the characteristic text.
    Here is what I mean
    I am reporting 0plant in the rows as key and Text. In the column on Plant Key the column header says Plant but there is no column header for the plant text.
    Eq:
    Plant                                                        Amount
    IE00         Initiator Plant                               244
    IE01         Initiator Plant NJ                          890
    Our users in the plant text column want a dummy column header to be displayed. SInce they download the data from the BW report to Excel and use pivot reporting. How can I introduce a column header for the texts.
    Thanks
    Karen

    Hi Karen,
    I am not sure if this is possible, although Users can ask anything :).
    In Planning we used to predefine cell headings via Macros and creating dummy cells in between.  I am not sure if a similar scenario can work here.
    By default this is not possible in Reports.  In BEx workbooks, you could probably try with Macros.
    Another easy option is to bring the data in the Cube as another field or create a nav. attribute in the master for text and use it as a nav. attr. in the Cube and put it in your Query row alongside.

    1. Merge two last columns. And then use panelGrid inside the cells.
    2. Use JSTL and tag forEach. I found it much easy-to-use.
