How to access and use "Jar Launcher" OSX application

I have encountered a road-block, it seems, in an attempt to get some files ready for publishing on the web. When I try to open one of the Crausword Express.com files which I must use, I get a message that "jar launcher" could not be launched, and that I should check the "Console." Well, I found the Counsole, and got this message:
"Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: cweaplet" I haven't the slightest idea what this means.
Secondly, when I double click the Mac OS application "Jar Launcher", I get nothing. In fact, many of the files in this CoreServices Apple folder give me no response.
I'm presuming (maybe incorrectly) that my problems are being caused by some sort of inappropriate setting in Jar Launcher, but since I cannot open it, or even see anything in it, I'm stuck.
Lastly, and a bit off my main question--how come Spotlight couldn't find the Jar Launcher for me? Had it not been for Wikipedia, I'd still be searching!

I downloaded the files from Crausword and didn't have any problems launching the program. I didn't see anything that says JarLauncher at all. Did you download the update as well??

I was searching for how to setup the 903+ and my W520 and came to this thread.
1. The OP was asking about audio and there are updated audio drivers / tweaks to get it louder / install different drivers.
but if you are going to go BT headset....
2. What I did for the 903+
Uninstalled the currently installed ThinkPad Bluetooth program. ( I forget the exact name, came stock and was out of date).
Required reboot.
Activated the Bluetooth with FN + F5 menu.
Downloaded the updated Bluetooth driver from lenovo (search lenovo driver matrix).
Ran the updated Bluetooth driver install.
Rebooted for good measure.
Double-clicked the Bluetooth Tray icon.
Clicked Add A Device.
Turned off my 903+ and continued to hold down the power to enable pairing mode.
Showed up in devices and added it.
Worked for audio. There are probably additional options for enabling the mic.
Hope that helps whoever might find this thread.

According to Google, Gnome-Do has known issues about CPU bugs and hogs and the latest incarnation does not seem to be available for RHEL and clones. You should have more luck with Linux Desktop distributions like Fedora and Ubuntu. Or you could try to build from source using the info at: http://do.davebsd.com/wiki/Installing_Do. Good luck - I wouldn't bother.

User exits : How to build and use through our form application ?!

Im trying to build a user exit based on a C++ program , to be used within our application.
I installed from the Oracle 8 Client CD the Oracle Pro*C/C++ ver 8.0.5 , i have Developer 2000 rel 6.0 patch 7 installed also .
Can anyone please provide me with the steps to build a user exit from A-Z , i read many Documents regarding that but all seems to me complicated , since also im not a C programmer , what i did for the time bieng i searched for file that ends *.pc on my hard disk and i found some of these files , i opend the Pro* C/C++ and it generates for me a *.C file , i reached this stage , then what should i do then to complete the task , for me i went directly to Forms and added a Button that calls the USER_EXIT built-in function , but simply it gave me an error message : User exit doesn't exist .
So Please if you could list for me the steps one by one i would be so graetful to you .

Why not make a stored procedure or PL/SQL-procedure? What you have to do is, to build a new version of runform, where you including your user-exits.
But if you insist: Use the help system. They have a description of how to do it on windows. It's more or less the same on unix.

How to backup files to ensure future access and use using a different mac

I recently attempted access backed up data on my LaCie drive from a different Mac notebook. I was blocked. I didn't write down the message, but it essentially advised that the data was locked and I wasn't allowed access. I wasn't given a chance to enter any kind of system password to bypass the lock.
Here is my problem: I recently spilled some wine into my keyboard. Since then, the system has slowed to a crawl and occasionally weird things begin to happen, regardless of which software I am using [eg iPhoto, Quickbooks, idvd, Photoshop, email, and even dashboard]. I know I am very lucky to have any access to my files at all. While I do, I need to back everything up so that I can have access to my files later on. I plan to have my Mac serviced this week. I don't know if it needs to be replaced, or whether it can be repaired.

I was not trying to boot another system at all. Actually, I was working on a newer mac laptop. I attempted to load a dvd I had created in my idvd on the other mac from the LaCie. I was using a mac because I knew it had all the iLife software I needed in order to work with my idvd components. Honestly though, I don't know if the mac I was using is intel based. I hadn't considered it. Does Apple sell macbooks with intel? No matter.
So, let's see -- I was using the other powerbook to read the LaCie via firewire -- and yes, the LaCie has its own power supply.
If I remember correctly, the denial I received [when attempting to load the idvd file] knew that I had created it. I got the feeling that it wasn't allowing me into the file for security reasons. I just don't remember setting security. Incidentally, I just checked and I do not have a master password set nor do I have FileVault protection turned on.

Clarisworks, you need Appleworks, which will only work with Mac OS X10.6.8 or earlier. See this tip if you must go newer. Mac Pros with newer hardware configuration than July 20, 2011 can't use Mac OS X 10.6.8 or earlier without this tip and then it would be Mac OS X Server. I'm not sure if the new black Mac Pro supports that configuration or not.

Contrary to what Geeks on Hugs is telling you, Mac OS X does indeed have a basic malware scanner. It is not a feature that is directly accessible to the user, and works a bit differently than every other malware scanner out there. Gatekeeper, which has been mentioned here, is entirely separate, and provides a different method for helping to protect you against malware.
The anti-malware scanner in Mac OS X is called XProtect. When you download an application (or any other kind of executable code), it is automatically "quarantined," so that when you open it you're asked if you really want to do that. I have a wireless internet connection that currently runs from the outside antenna into the house via ethernet. My internet provider is setting up a second wireless system so that a computer 1/2 mile away can share the connection. Henning, most of the people that transition from WebSTAR to iTools Apache use Formication.
Formication is a Perl version of Flexmail, so it has all the features of Flexmail, plus more. It was designed by one of the developers of the original Flexmail.
When you convert from WebSTAR to Apache you can keep your script intact.
With iTools, all you need to do is to add the action:
Flexmail /cgi-bin/formication.pl
and the .flx handler,
and the scripts run unchanged.

By default, as shipped by Apple, .htaccess files are
ignored. You need to explicity enable then in
/etc/httpd/httpd.conf
Both 'Action' and 'AddHandler' (the two directives in
the .htaccess file) require FileInfo override for the
directory. Therefore, at the very least you need to
add:
<pre class=command><Directory /path/to/your/form>
AllowOverride FileInfo
Directory></pre>
to your httpd.conf so that apache will read the
.htacess file.
Alternatively, since you have to edit httpd.conf
anyway, you might just want to add those directives
to the <Directory> block, which will save Apache
having to read the file each time the form is used.
