How to access BIOS settings in Bootcamp Windows 7?

I need to reset the BIOS boot order in my Bootcamp partition to boot first from a DVD/CD, such as a Windows 7 repair disk.  What are the steps to get there?

There is no BIOS, so you can't access the settings.

  • How to enter BIOS settings on Equium L10?

Please can someone tell me what button i press too get into the bios setup at the start when i switch my pc on cos i have tried every thing, but nothing works.

    Hello
Every time when you switch the notebook ON you can see at the bottom left hand site the short instruction how to enter BIOS settings. In your case you must use F2 button. Please keep it down immediately after switching the notebook ON.
Generally the Toshiba notebooks are delivered with two different BIOS versions (BIOS producer):
    - TOSHIBA BIOS: enter using ESC and F1 button
    - Phoenix BIOS: enter using F2 button.
According the specification your unit has Phoenix BIOS.
    Bye

    Hello @assail_hawk
To get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial product. You can do this at Commercial Forums.
Even though this is a Commercial product, I recommend to restore the BIOS defaults with this document selecting the reloading the BIOS default settings. This will restore the original BIOS.

    Hi,
Start tapping the ESC key after powering on the PC.
Another option is to enter: Change advanced startup options on the Start screen.

  • Lenovo G50-30 Unable to access BIOS settings after Windows recovery

    Hi
I recently 'downgraded' a recently purchased Lenovo G50-30 with preinstalled Windows 8.1 to Windows 7 using a UEFI USB install on a GPT partition. I also updated the BIOS from A7CN40WW to the latest A7CN43WW and all was working fine. However, after performing a necessary restore of an system image created using the Windows 7 backup and restore tool, I am suddenly unable to access the BIOS settings, either with the novo button (I do get the menu to select BIOS) or with Fn +F2. All that happens is that I receive a blank screen with a static cursor in the upper left corner. I can however still access the boot menu Fn +F12. This is a particular pain as I obviousl can't select USB 3.0 in BIOS.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

OK, I managed to clear CMOS by disassembling and desoldering a leg off the the RTC battery but to no avail. The problem seems to be that BIOS a7cn43ww itself has somehow been corupted. In theory this should be able to be resolved by a reflash. The trouble here is there seems to be no way to reflash with a current or previous BIOS version, so I'll have to either wait for a newer version or someone may know better.
C'mon Lenovo support this simply isn't good enough. It's a brand new laptop and I'm considering returning it for a refund.

    hi penguin247,
The following methods will allow you to access the BIOS on the Ideacentre K430:
    1. Restart the PC and continuously tap F1 on the lenovo screen
    2. For Windows 8 models, navigate to the UEFI Firmware Settings
Once you're in the BIOS, navigate to the Startup Tab > Primary Boot Sequence to change the boot order of the installed devices.

  • Portege Z930 15X - How to access BIOS?

HI all, I've got a Toshiba *Z930-15X*, and I can't access the BIOS at all.
I want to downgrade to W7, and it used to be pretty easy before Windows 8.
I know I have to follow these steps , and I would gladly, except I can't access this *** BIOS. I tried all the F1-F12 keys.
Does someone has this model and can tell me exactly which keys work, or another way to access the BIOS?
    Thanks in advance!

Many people with new Win8 machines have asked the same question. Win8 is designed to have faster start as old Windows operating systems. For me it is something like standby option.
What you must do is to shut down Windows completely. After doing this you will be able to enter BIOS settings. Just follow link posted by PauPau and change settings in power options.
On my machine I must press F12 and there is option to enter setup settings BIOS settings.

  • Satellite C55-A-19D - How to enter BIOS settings?

    Hello,
I have recently bought a *Satellite C55-A-19D* notebook with no OS preinstalled, so I have installed Windows 8.1.
My problem is that *I can not access to the BIOS menu*.
I turn the computer on, but I can not see any invitation to "press the F2 key to enter setup". I am only receiving a screen that just has the +Toshiba Leading Innovation >>>+ notice, and then the Windows 8 spinning dots...
I can tap or hold F2/F12/ESC/DEL but nothing is coming up. I have also tried to press Fn+F2 combination.
What should I to get into the BIOS setup?
    Thanks in advance!

Perform complete shutdown as described here - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2B03EY0002R01.htm
After doing this start your notebook again and press F12. There you should have option to enter BIOS settings.
    Check it out.

  • Portege R600 - Modify BIOS settings out of windows.

    Hi,
I've got a question. Is there any possebility to modify the BIOS settings of a R600 with a tool?
Best would be something what uses a command line // could be opened with parameters,
I would like to change round about 100 machines remotely --> I definitely would need a tool for that.
    Thank you!

    Hm...
but I read about the possebility to do that on Toshiba notebooks while reading through the net.
And I can imagine that one of the many many tools which Toshiba is providing is able to do so...
In addition to that I know that its possible - another manufacturer provides a tool like that,
what is exactly able to do what I want. But only for the specific use on their machines.
    Is there really no way?

  • How to enter BIOS settings on my Satellite Pro S300?

    Hi
It can look stupid but I'm trying to access to the BIOS menu on my TOSHIBA Satellite Pro S300-EZ1511 and i can't, i searched for that on the manual but i couldn't find anything.
I need to go there so i can change the SATA settings to IDE so i can install windows XP system after i formatted the Vista.

It should be in the Users Manual somewhere.
Turn on the laptop, and hold down the ESC key. Then press F1 when it prompts you.

  • How to enter BIOS settings on my Satellite 5205-S503?

Ok I have a Satellite 5205t -S503. I want to boot using CD so it can install my WXP disc but it will not let me boot from the CD and I cant get to the BIOS.
I tried the ESC F1 and it just says: set value (Y/N)
When I type Y it just restarts and goes right back to the Toshiba screen.
When I type N it says: NTLDR is missing press key to restart.
When I also try the ESC with the power button it does the same thing.
How can I get to the bios /and or boot from CD ?

    Hi
As Im not mistaken the Satellite 52xx series was equipped with the Toshiba BIOS and the ESC button should works to access the BIOS default settings.
Anyway, there is also another possibility to boot from the CD drive.
You can press the F12 button immediately after notebook starting and then a boot menu should appear. Then you could choose the ODD as a booting source.
But back to the error message NTLDR is missing press key to restart
It looks like an HDD malfunction
I have searched a little bit in the forum and found these useful threads:

  • How to access Mac Partition after bootcamp

I've just recently bootcamped my Mac and now i have windows 7 and that is working fine but now when I try to get onto Mac Partition it dosent work. I've tried to restart my Mac but it hasn't worked I can't access the Mac Partition it is just stuck on the loading screen when you turn the Mac on and stays like that. How do i fix this or just access the Mac Partition

    Hi,
usually you hold down the Alt/Option-key at startup of your Mac to get the Boot Selection screen.
There you can choose which Operating System to boot into.
Once in OSX you might wanna go to System Preferences - Startup Volume and set your OSX to be the default.
If that's not working you should boot from your OSX Install DVD (holding down the C-key at startup) and use Disk Utility from it to verify/repair your harddisk/OSX.
    Regards
    Stefan
