How to access exported pdf

when i create a graphic on my iMac and export it as a pdf, how do i access the pdf file on my mobile devices.
early 2008 iMac OS X 10.10.4
iphone 6 and ipad mini retina iOS 8.4

Commonly there are three ways to create a PDF from MS Visio.
The first is a Microsoft process built in to the Office applications.
For issue resolution (if any) associated with this process you must investigate what is available over in Microsoft web space.
The second and third methods are predicated on having Acrobat installed.
Method 2 makes use of the Adobe PDF virtual printer.
This is installed with an install of Acrobat Standard or Acrobat Pro (but not with Adobe Reader).
This virtual printer outputs to PDF rather than paper. As with output to paper the output to PDF provides no interactivity (e.g., links).
Method 3 makes use of PDFMaker.
Acrobat's PDFMaker is installed with an install of Acrobat Standard or Acrobat Pro (but not with Adobe Reader).
PDFMaker can be configured to pass Office applications' hyperlinks through to the output PDF as PDF Link annotations.
IMPORTANT DETAILS !!
#1 - For Viso you must use Acrobat Pro.
#2 - The Acrobat / Viso versions must be compatible.
#3 - (as with all software) the application version(s) used must be compatible with the OS used.
Consequently, for any meaningful suggestions to be forthcoming you must identify the specific method used eh.

  • How to purchase Export PDF in France - how to overcome security on a PDF file

I've been trying today to get subscribed to Adobe Export PDF, but since I live in France, it doesn't seem to be available for purchase.  I found a page in French where I was invited to subscribe, but it took me to the French Adobe Store, where this item does not seem to exist.
However, I did reach a page where I was invited to try it out, which I did with a PDF page, really wanting to transfer it into a .csv file, but tried Microsoft Excel as the nearest available.  However, when it had tried to process this PDF file, I got the message that the security on the PDF document was such that I couldn't export anything from it.  I checked the security on the document and found, surprise, surprise, that yes, I couldn't export from it (or much else either).
So, is Adobe Export PDF supposed to override the security on the original documents, or do I have to have another (paid for) version of Adobe in order to use this facility?
If it is supposed to override the security, how can I purchase, or otherwise access Export PDF in France?
If the security settings continue to prevent any access, do I have to go to the original provider of the document to get them to change the security settings?
Any help would be gratefully received.
Perhaps someone can get on to Adobe in France to ask them to make their pages more logical?  i;e. don't invite people to buy something which apparently is not on sale here.  If it is, then please make it available on the store page.
    Thanks

    Good day,
Unfortunately, our ExportPDF service is not yet available for purchase in France.  Update: Adobe ExportPDF is available in France.
As for any security settings applied to a file, you would have to contact the file's originator to obtain the document password and remove that password within Adobe Acrobat (separate program), or obtain an unsecured version of the file.  Our service will not allow you to circumvent any security settings that have been applied to a file.
    Kind regards,

  • How can i export PDF as a Booklet formate in InDesign?

    Hi,
I am currently working on 48 pages book. Book design is complete and i want to send it to printer as a spread in Booklet formate. how can i export pdf as booklet format?

In this situation we strongly needed PDF in booklet layout. so is there any suggestion for saving that instead of printing?
You have to save a postscript file using the Adobe PDF 9.0 PPD, as Eugene is showing in #6, and distill the .ps file to PDF using Distiller.

  • How to access a PDF file from Oracle DATABASE SERVER

    Hi
I have some pdf files in "\home2\docs" directory in Oracle database server 10g. (OS is Linux) I want to access those pdf files from my client system through Oracle Forms. How is it possible?
Please Help!!!! It is very urgent !!!
    Expecting fast response!!!!!
    Bye

    hi
    Thank u for ur response.
Initially i tried to access pdf file from database server. I didn't get any solution for that. So I copied all my pdf files to Application server which is in Linux environment at "/home2/docs" directory.
I gave the following command for accessing the pdf files kept in Lnux Application Server from Oracle 10g forms in a button press trigger.
    web.show_document('http://192.168.1.53:7779/home2/docs/test.pdf');
It says "page cannot be found"
So I copied one of the pdf file named "test.pdf" to "/oracle/oas10g/IasHome/forms90/java" in Linux Application Server . Then the following command
    web.show_document('http://192.168.1.53:7779/forms90/java/test.pdf');
has opened the the pdf file in browser.
192.168.1.53 is my Linux Application Server IP. and 7779 is the port.
Actually we have lacs of pdf files. So i cannot keep all the pdf files in "/oracle/oas10g/IasHome/forms90/java" directory in Linux Application Server. And also all the pdf files not in the same directory , "/home2/docs" some of the pdf files r in the subdirectories of "/home2/docs/" like /home2/docs/sub1, /home2/docs/sub2, /home2/docs/sub3 etc.
Then how to configure my "/oracle/oas10g/IasHome/forms90/server/forms90.conf" file for retrieving pdf files from "/home2/docs/" and its subdirectories. Is Anything other than this, required for solving my problems.
Now My PDF files r in LINUX APPLICATION SERVER not in database server.
Please help!! It is VERY URGENT!!!

  • How do I export PDFs from Illustrator at 100% ?

Hi, I'm a web designer who routinely sends design comps out for client review, developers, etc. Obviously when I build a comp at 960px x 768px, I want the PDF to reflect those EXACT dimensions, when viewed at 100%. Currently, my Acrobat seems to export my PDFs at approx 125% of my intended size. Can anybody please recommend some settings or tips on how to prevent this? Thanks!

Man, I don't know what I'm doing wrong- 100% looks ginormous. I scaled down to 81% which matches the size of my Illustrator doc at 100%, but even saving the PDF at 81% still...too big.
I'm beginning to think PDFs are still industry standard for print work but for web...not so much. I hate it how it mangles all my line weights and stuff.
Anyway, not trying to hate on PDFs in the Acrobat forum, heh. Just kinda sick of showing my work at the wrong size. I'm wondering if it's b/c I'm building at 72dpi in Illustrator, then saving as "best quality" PDFs, which might be changing the pixel dimensions to a 300dpi, therefore changing the proportions. Thoughts?

  • How to access cataloged pdf index on the Web

I have indexed a pdf catalog, then copied the results to a Web server.  I can access the individual pdf files okay, but neither Acrobat Pro nor Reader can read the index.  How do I do it?  Thanks!

You need to EMBED the index file in the PDF.  Here is a helpful blog posting that explains it:  Speed up PDF Search with an Embedded Index

  • How to access a PDF file in Tanzania

I am a graduate of St. Ignatius in Cleveland, class of 1943, currently at work in Dar es Salaam, and I admire the work you do in Adobe.  I want to read on my laptop a PDF file sent me from the United States, and I'm told I need an accessory not available for Tanzania.  How can I retrieve the PDF file I have been sent?  Thank you.

What is your operating system?  What is your Reader version?
Adobe Reader should be able to open any PDF file; what is the exact message you are getting?

  • How do I export pdf from pages via commandline

I have a pages document that I use as a documentation for a library that I've written.  When I release the library I hav been manually exporting the document to PDF, but I'm trying to automate the whole process.
Is there a way to get Pages to convert a .pages package to a .pdf file via bash?

    Try Automator or an AppleScript.
I am not sure if Yvan our resident AppleScript expert is still monitoring these forums. Apple has offended him to the point he has gone on strike.

    Hi Karen,
I'm sorry that you haven't been able to access your ExportPDF service. Are you receiving a particular error when you try to sign in? Are you trying to sign in through Adobe Reader? What happens when you try to sign in to the web interface at http://exportpdf.acrobat.com? If you are receiving the error when you try to log in to the web interface, please make sure that you're using a supported browser (and you may also want to try clearing the browser cache.) • Exporting PDF text to html

How can I export PDF text and post the exported text on a web page, to which I can then apply Google Translate?  Our organization post PDF articles from our journal.  (I can manually block and copy the text, so I know the text can be captured.)  I want a program/app/software to run on our website that will allow a user to extract the text from the PDF and display the text as html.  From there, the user can apply Google Translate.  So does anyone know how I can do this?  It doesn't seem like a difficult task -- I can do it manually -- but I want an app that will do it automatically.

Thanks for the reply.  Do you have any idea how I could do what I want to do, perhaps with some other software?
