How to access kuler in Illustrator cs4

I am still using Illustrator cs4, and I was working on a file, and when I tried to access Kuler, it said not connected. I checked my internet connection and it is working fine.I even tried to access the update server and it said not available. I was just wondering how to resolve the issue, do I need to reinstall the software. any thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Dreamweaver is not an image editor.
It uses HTML and CSS to insert colours in pages. HTML and CSS only do solid colors.
If you need gradients, you must create them in an image editor such as Photoshop or Fireworks then insert the image into your webpage in DW using CSS.

Connecting to Kuler in Illustrator CS4

I am connected to the Internet, yet a get a message that I am NOT connected to the Internet when I try to launch Kuler in Illustrator CS4. I am using a Mac Notebook, MAC 0SX Version 10.7.5

It's because theme is saved in CMYK. The RGB values displayed in kuler website are as per the Web color conversion whereas Illustrator utililises their own conversion. If you notice, in CMYK documents, values are displayed correctly.

Help! Kuler in Illustrator CS4 - changes colours completely

Why is it that when I use the in-built Kuler extension in Illustrator CS4 the colour values are completely different when I "Add selected themes to swatches" to those on the Kuler website.
As an random example, take this theme: soothing by milolily   (http://kuler.adobe.com/#themeID/68960)
Here's what the colours are on the Kuler website and what they end up being in the Swatch palette in Illustrator:
R:52, G:97, B:107     --->     R:70, G:107, B:129
R:52, G:21, B:54     --->     R:82, G:48, B:55
R:123, G:137, B:156     --->     R:147, G:154, B:169
R:14, G:22, B:51     --->     R:26, G:32, B:63
R:160, G:189, B:140     --->     R:182, G:192, B:167
Check out the screenshot to see how huge the difference is visually.
I thought perhaps it was something to do with whether the Document Color Mode was set to RGB or CMYK but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

How do I recover an Illustrator CS4 key from OSX?

I just purchased a new iMac for one of our Graphics employees, and in addition to Adobe CC she needs Illustrator CS5 installed, because there is a plugin we use for a client that isn't available for versions newer than CS5. The problem I'm running in to is our CS5 copy was an upgrade from CS4 and naturally this was before we started using the Adobe TLP so we bought everything retail and nobody can find our CS4 licensing info.
Illustrator CS4 is still installed on her current Mac, but I can't seem to find a way to retrieve the key on OSX, does anyone know how I can do it?

How can I download my Illustrator CS4?

I bought Illustrator CS4 directly from Adobe online; I never had a disk. My hard drive has gone whacko-, I had to replace it. Now I can't get illustrator to run, and the link I had that used to bring me to the download site no longer has a download link. I don't mind buying software online; but I didn't get a disk. I don't want to have to buy an upgrade just because my hard disk crashed but by removing the link to my software, it appears they're trying to make me do that. I still have the serial number and it was a full install, not an upgrade. Anybody know what I can do about this?

Can't access Kuler in Illustrator CC

Hi there,
When I open Kuler from the Window drop down the panel is empty apart from a message telling me what Kuler is and that I need a valid adobe ID to access it.
I am a Creative Cloud member and have tried signing in to my main account and also on adobe.kuler.com but it's still inactive.
Can someone please help.

Welcome to the community.
Have you installed/used Illustrator MAX version in the past? Are there other versions of Illustrator installed on your pc/mac? I would suggest that you clean install Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app and then through CC desktop app, download the Illustrator CC and check the issue. Use the cleaner tool from this location: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
If you have too many favorites added under your account in the Adobe Kuler website, then I would suggest remove all favorites and then try checking the issue. It could be one or more of a corrupt theme that is causing the issue.

Yes. You can change the Language you want installed using the Adobe Application Manager (AAM). You will need to uninstall the language you currently have before switching. Click on your name in the top left of AAM to access the Preferences menu which has the Language setting.

when you paste into photoshop, you should get some options as to what you want photoshop to import the shape as. if you select 'shape layer' you get the result you describe (a shape masking the foreground colour). choose one of the other options, depending on how you're going to use it.

Hey folks... this was easier in CS1 and previous, but I was curious as to how to change defaults in Illustrator CS4? For example, I've customized my brush library and want to replace whatever the default brush file is with my customized brush file (for now, called, interestingly enough, brushes.ai) Where is the location of the (default brushes) file? How can you create a swatch from a jpeg in Illustrator CS4?

I am trying to create a jpeg image into a swatch in Illustrator CS4. In previous versions you could simply drag the image into the swatches toolbar and it would convert it automatically. Now when I do that nothing happens. When I click on new swatch it creates a colour swatch instead of the actual image itself.

When you say you would drag the image itself into the Swatch Palette and it would show the image itself? How would then use this swatch? Can you give an example of what you would apply a jpeg to as a swatch? The only palette that I can think of off the top of my head that you can drag a jpeg into and have the icon appear as the jpeg is the Symbols Palette. Is is possible that you were using the Symbols Palette in the past and not the Swatch Palette?

How do you change default greyscale colouring of graphs in illustrator CS4

I've been trying to format graphs in illustrator CS4 and can't figure out how to change the defualt colour from Greyscale to be a swatch of my own choice without having to change it manually once the data is entered.
Is there a way of changing the settings? This is driving me nuts!!!

You really can't but you can recolor the chart using a color group you define.
Describing in written words how the recolor art feature works is not practical for me so it is by a movie

BTW if you want the colors to be the value of one color just make a color group of one color and apply it or choose a one color job from the drop down.
