How to access Mac items when in Windows

Is there any way to transfer photos, music, etc. directly to my Windows XP from my Mac OSX files? Or do I have to create DVD's or CD's and then load them in that way?

Okay. I formatted a Maxtor External HD in MS-DOS ( FAT ) and then put some of my image files on it. Then I switched over to Windows XP to look for the drive. It did not show up. I am using a FW cable. This drive always worked great for Mac operations.
What else to do to get it to recognize it? I installed the One-Touch disk that came with the Maxtor, but I don't think I even needed this. Is the drive supposed to show up in My Computer under Hard Disk Drives?

Either use a FAT partition separate from XP might be safest. Then copy to XP. I'd use a FW drive, but FireWire transfers in Windows can be darn slow (10MB/sec).

Hi,
You can refer the page items in your page header as &itemname. For example, if I have page item P15_TEST, I will add the following in header:
<marquee>
&P15_TEST.
</marquee>But make sure that you have a process before header to populate the value in your page item. Otherwise, there will be a null scrolling (which you can't see!) :)

I am using LR 1.1 and I am no longer able to access the Mac Dock (Mac OS X on a new Mac Pro) when I am in LR. Also, the "minimize" feature in the "Window" menu is no longer able to be selected. So, I have to quit LR to get to other applications. This happened shortly after upgrading to 1.1 but I'm not sure that it is directly related. I appreciate any ideas folks may have to help remedy the situation.

This was happening to me--and I think I traced my problem to the fact that I had used the shortcut key, "F", which can throw you into full-screen mode. In that mode, the dock can't be accessed with the mouse.

What I want to do is to show on an Alert screen the selected index in every ComboBox on the horizontallist:

Greg, thank you for your quick response, but your answer is a little ambiguous for me. How can my dataProvider change when the user selects another index? the itemRenderer it's supposed get the information off the dataProvider to fill its ComboBoxes, but when the user selects another index, that change shouldn't have any effect on the dataProvider.

Problems accessing osx partition when in windows

Hi!
I've been running bootcamp with windows xp to play game's as smoothly as possible for some time.
Until this day it has been working really great with MacDrive as a way to get access to the osx partition when im in windows.. But suddenly, after doing the firmware update this morning, i cant access the osx partition when in windows, actually, windows cant find the partition at all anymore.. This is a problem since all my games are on the osx partition. Could it be the firmware update that did it, or is there something wrong with the windows partition? And finally, how can i fix this?

Cannot access Mac OS Partition from windows 8 running in boot camp

So I installed Windows 8.1 Pro through Boot Camp but I can't access the Mac OS partition from windows even though boot camp partition shows up while I'm on Mac OS. I have installed all the drivers from apple but still it didn't work. Then I downloaded Paragon HFS+ which was free for windows 8 and 8.1 thinking that this would solve my problem. The instructions told me to change the drive letter for mac partition from disk management by right clicking the drive pressing "change drive letter and path" button. But the "change drive letter and path" key in grey color and I can't press it. Can somebody please help?

I'm not quite sure of what you're doing or where you are but this isn't how you set APEX items in the URL.
See this example

Thank you, i will try this option. Only thing is i did read another person having this problem and he did shut down his computer and now his photo library in unaccessible!!! Ugh. I do have an external back up hard drive. I sure hope that my photos are on there to reload into iPhoto!!!!
I did try to place my mouse over the iPhoto icon @ the dock and held down the control key with no results in shutting down the application.

One of my favorite Firefox commands was Cmd-T which, when no windows were displayed, brought up a new window with focus in the address bar so I could immediately type a new address or search. This eliminated CMd-N waiting for my home page to load, repositioning focus to address bar & erasing contents of address bar before typing a new address. Although not specifically documented, it was probably the Firefox cmd I most used. As of most recent update this has changed. It now opens a new tab in some hidden window but doesn't display it. This seems worthless. Please consider restoring this feature to the way it was. Thanks!

I do Graphics/Production work for an archaeological firm. Before I started working here, they decided that of the different export options from our GIS department, EPS was the format that gave us the least problems and the highest quality. This was decided when we were using Illustrator 10. Now we're making the shift from CS2 and 3 to CS5 (getting our department on the same version), we are running into this problem with the EPS files and I am trying to find a solution to make all of our lives easier. One of the other options that we are kicking around is ditching the EPS file format all together and shifting to using a high quality PDF instead. Could this cause any loss of quality?
