Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please provide the steps you are attempting...there are several ways to "access" the files on your media card, so the method you are attempting, along with what happens when you attempt, will help us to help you.
Alternatively, you can refer to your user manual and/or this KB:

  • Media card and phone memory

Hi!  How do I assign certain files (music; photos) etc to go directly to media card and not the phone memory...

    Check the app settings.
For photos, start the camera app and swipe down from the top screen to select the ‘Settings’ option. Then turn on ‘Save Pictures on Media Card’.

  • Accessing media card data

I had major issues with my Sprint BB and had to change phones. Luckily, everything is supposedly on my media card.
I've inserted the media card, but I don't know how to get its data to load on to currrent phone.
Please help; I don't want to have to re-enter everything by hand.

OK...either he did something really strange, or you did not understand what he meant. From that description, the only things you will now have are pictures and other true "files" that were saved to the Media Card. All application data (contacts, calendar, messages, etc.) are stored in AppMemory...if a backup was not taken, then your data is gone.
    Sorry...

  • Unable to access media card after install of 10 software update

After installing the software 10 update, i'm not able to access the media card from the phone or when plugged in to the laptop. from the phone settings menu, i cant choose to save any file into the media card - its grayed out. Everything was working fine until I installed the update. Is this a common problem? did the update wipe out all the media card contents?

Have you tried removing the media card and re-inserting it?

  • How to use media card

I have been taking pictures and downloading music but they have ended up on my device memory and not on the card
How do I use the media card properly?

I would recommend you make sure the ringtone is less than 30 seconds in length and 512KB in size, doesn't have to be , but some uses have problems with ones that are larger.
Now, just open your Media icon > menu > Explore and find the folder in which the ringtone is in, scroll to it and press Menu > Set as Ringtone.

  • Desktop 6 software won't work with media card, but phone works with card just fine.

    Pearl 8110
    media card transcend 8G HC
using latest software update for desktop and phone.
    Vista business
Since upgrading to desktop 6 several months ago I can't upload media to my phone.  Windows does not recognize the media card as another drive.
I can take pictures, record video and voice using the phone, and send that via bluetooth to my vista computer, but not by usb.
However when trying to transfer media to my phone via usb I get an error message says I need to turn on mass storage mode (yes it's always on) but the error message just keeps repeating when I try to transfer anything to the media card via usb.  Can't transfer via bluetooth windows says I need some type of software that I can't find.
I uninstalled version 6 and reloaded the last working version 5 and the roxio media manager and that didn't work either.
I see this as being a blackberry software problem, uless someone has another idea.  I've posed in other forums with no help comming.
    What do I do?

    Hi midnightvisions,
Have you tried reinserting the media card and battery?
Can you please clarify something? Are you currently able or unable to transfer these files via Bluetooth?
If you are able to, you may want to transfer these files to your PC via Bluetooth and format the media card and test again. http://bit.ly/f8fCQ8 If this does not resolve the issue or you are unable to transfer them via Bluetooth, try doing a clean uninstall of the BlackBerry Desktop Software then reinstall and test again. http://bit.ly/bvuRJU

  • How to access WLAN card on Satellite Pro 6100?

I'm cleaning up a Satellite Pro 6100 for a customer and noticed that it has a built in wireless card (something they didn't know). However, I just can't work out how to access it. I've pushed the little switch on the side backwardsa and forwards, I've toggled Fn-F8 and everything else i can think of. But nothing happens.
I even discovered the Network Device Switch utility but that's only showing the LAN card.
    Any ideas?

First of all please check in the device manager if the notebook has built-in WLan card. The available WLan switch at the notebook site says nothing. The notebooks are delivered with different specifications and the WLan card is optional.
I think the WLan card is not installed in your notebook and therefore you cannot use it.

  • How to access media files on home network?

    Hi there,
How do I browse my home network files from the N900.
On a windows computer, I am familiar with network neighbourhood or my network places and it's easy to find files on other computer.
But with N900 and linux I don't know where to look.
    Anyone have any hints ?
    Thanks
    Fred

    Hi fhumbert
As primarily Mac user I'm sure others will have better solution for you but you would need to install SSH Server on your N900:http://maemo.org/downloads/product/Maemo5/openssh-server/
On your Windows PC you would need to install WinSCP or FileZilla client to allow SFTP connection to your N900. You might find this link of use:http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=41490&page=2

You will need to enable mass storage mode to see the media card on the Mac.  Follow the steps in this KB article to enable mass storage mode: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB13564

  • Can't open files on media card

I connected my 9300 to my desktop now I can't acces my music, pictures and other files on my media card. How do I solve that problem?

    Hello !
As you have mentioned that once you are connecting your BlackBerry Smartphone to the desktop, it is not allowing you to access your media card on phone, because at that point of time it syncs with your system.
So if you need to view it on still (staying connected to your desktop) then you need to view it in your desktop only, or else for viewing it on your Device again, you need to disconnect it with the desktop.
    Hope this resolves your Problem!

  • GPS and Media card questions

Had my BB curve 8300 about 2 weeks but can't manage to get the gps to find satellites any ideas as to what I need to do would be appreciated .
Also as it only came with a 128mb microsd I need more memory can I replace it with an 8GB micro shsd card?
    Thanks in advance
    Graham

How does the media card really work?  I put in a 2gig card.  status shows 1.8,  Does the BB8320 use the extra space automatically?  Does it need to be formatted?  I do not see that the card is really being used.
    Thanks for the tech help

  • Media card wont read on phone or PC. "Media card can not be accessed due to fatal errors"

I've had my blackberry curve 8520 for over a year and never had any problems with the media card until now. I'm unable to look at any pictures, videos or music on my phone as i can not install the media card on my phone. I'm unable to repair it and format it also. The media card will also not be read when I plug it into my laptop with the USB.
I definitely know its the media card and not my phone itself as I've tried my brothers media card in my phone and it worked perfectly. When i put my media card in his phone, it did the same thing and came up with the same error.
Does anyone know how i'll be able to make the media card read in my phone or my pc so I can backup the data as I don't really want to lose it all?
    Any help appreciated,
    Thanks!

From what you describe, the data that was on the media card is already gone. If the PC cannot read it and the BB cannot read it, then it has for some reason been fried. I'm sorry for your loss.
You can try PC-based recovery utilities, but typically with flash memory (as opposed to magnetic memory of hard drives), once the data is gone, it's gone for good. But, you never know...give some of those a try and see what happens. Before you ask, no...I've no guidance for one versus another.
    Good luck!
