How to access my five free hosted sites?

I am a creative cloud member and have created a site in lightroom, how do I access my five free hosted sites?

I'm using a Windows PC. It's really odd, I can upload pictures, but can't
seem to figure out how to get to any of the PS tools. I have a own copy of
pS Elements 10, so I know a bit about PS.

Five free hosted sites question

Hi,
I just used one of my five free sites to host a web site I made with Adobe Muse. I assume the free hosting lasts as long as my Creative Cloud membership subscription is kept up to date. Is this right?
I ask because when I go into my partner account on Adobe business Catalyst, the billing method for the site is listed as "Adobe Direct Subscription," but the expiry date is listed as October 1, 2013. Why is there an expiry date? Thanks.

Never mind, I just answered my own question. October 1st is when my next Creative Cloud subscription is due. :-)

LIMITATIONS on free-hosting sites

Hi,
first of all - great job! Congratulations ..
Some limitations occured - small cheap websites use free
hosting a lot. Tested the first InContext site on free hosting with
ad banner at the top - all InContext editing buttons are 98% hidden
behind this ad. By guessing and using Alt image description for
buttons I succeeded in editing and publishing the site. BUT - once
updated page is published, ad banner dissappeared (being wiped out
by IC?? - just guessing). This breaks "free-hosting" agreement ..

Hi dc[CZ],
When this page executes, the hosting server modifies the DOM
of the page and inserts an absolutely positioned div at the top of
the page with z-index higher than the InContext Editing toolbar.
This is why the ad-banner obscures the InContext Editing buttons.
We have tested InContext Editing on free hosting providers,
but none of them tempered with the DOM of the original page in this
manner. Unfortunately, we don’t have a solution or workaround
for this situation, as there are a number of ways those banners can
be inserted in the page. (of course, other than changing your
hosting to a paid account to remove the banner.)
However, I have passed this information on to our engineering
team to consider for future versions.

How long does business catalyst give you 5 free hosting sites for?

BC advertises that you can host with them for free on 5 sites. How long can you host for free?

The free sites that you host with BC will be sync. with your subscription.
So basically it is connected with your subscription account , site expiration depends upon the subscription expiration.

OneDrive for Business for iOS Devices - Accessing Non Office 365 Hosted Sites

Hello,
I have a SharePoint site that I host on premise and am not using Office 365 at all. Is it possible for me to access the site using the iOS version of the OneDrive for Business app? When I specify my username, password and SharePoint 2013 site
URL i get a login error with username/password incorrect.
Does the iOS app only support Office 365 implementations of SharePoint?

The following should give you enough to search for discussions, as well as some general details of IP network gizmos and boxes: You'll need an ISP tier of service that allows remote access and preferably with a static IP address (static versus dynamic IP). This as various ISPs prohibit server-oriented protocols such as HTTP TCP port 80 traffic, and some firewall server-oriented ports. You'll then either need to use either dynamic DNS with your public dynamic IP — this is the hacking-around and not-really-for-production approach — or static IP with traditional DNS, and you'll also need to enable what's called port forwarding (sometimes also called virtual server) through your gateway-firewall-NAT device and into your server for TCP port 80 and possibly also TCP port 443. This port forwarding gets the incoming connections from the 'net into your public IP address (static or dynamic) mapped through to your NAT'd IP address space and your private IP address for your server.
As the first part of getting any of this to work with OS X Server, launch Terminal.app on the server and issue the following harmless diagnostic command:
sudo changeip -checkhostname
This checks for common errors in the local DNS setup, and broken networking and broken DNS tends to cause other errors elsewhere in the environment. You'll need to enter an administrative password for the sudo, you might get a one-time informational message from the sudo, and you'll then get some configuration details and then an indication that DNS and local networking needs no changes, or that there are configuration issues.

How to Access and Update Existing DW site using DW 5.5 on new laptop?

We already use InDesign and have recently upgraded to 5.5. At the same time my partner bought a new laptop and decided to upgrade his version of DW. This was an early version, with no upgrade path, so he bit the bullet and bought DW 5.5 No problems installing it on his new laptop. His site is extensive but very basic - no addons. He has a good basic grasp of html.
What he would now like to do, is to download the remote site onto his laptop from its host and in future update it from his laptop.(He travels a lot.) As I said it is an early version of DW, predates CS versions but is just basic html. Is there a generally accepted way of doing this? If so is it in the tutorials etc? He can't find it in theHelp for 5.5?
Just to add, the new laptop would be the only location on which the website wouldbe stored. This is so he can update it from the road and keep to a single version to update.

If you could bear with me a bit longer. My partner has an old version of DW and so some of the interfaces have changed.
Am I correct, he must open the local site on his old pc, using the orignal software on there, and then using Sites/Manage Site options export it in .ste format? (I am assuming his orignal DW version has these options.) Does he create the new export .ste version with the same name?
At this stage he should then have a .ste version of his site on his old computer. You say he should then" send" this file to the new laptop. Do you meant copy it onto a memory stick and import it to the new laptop as though it were a new file? Then go to the remote server to access the file there and update it?
One last question, my partner cannot find the command to access his remote site, in DW CS 5.5 - He says it is not where it is on his version. Where is the remote site access command in DW CS 5.5 please?

Is the virtual win-5a8pp4v402g server in the same domain as the remote system you are trying to browse to it from? If it is then all you need is a DNS entry or an entry in the Hosts file of the remote system that points that name to the IP address
of the VM. If its not then you will need an AAM that uses a Fully Qualified Domain Name as the address of the SharePoint site. YOu will also need either a DNS entry or a Hosts file entry on the remote system that points that FQDN to the IP address

I use Yahoo mail on my Ipad 2 but I cannot see how to access my contacts. Other sites say I have to use Itunes. Surely this should not be necessary.

Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.

BC free 5 Free hosting sites

I have had CC for 9 mo now and never recieved my 5 free sites from BC I have worked with suport with no success at all all they keep doing is sending me emails they are working on it I have gave them my info twice now but still working on it this has been going on for awhile now so im out of options at this point. Everytime I hit Launch Site its wants me to sign up for CC and I have logged in with my Adobe ID and everything any HELP would be great thanks DISCOURAGED

How to access our company's sharepoint site with short name?

Currently, mycompany.sharepoint.com is accessible.
We would like to set up with a simple name like sp1, point, etc...
what needs to do on DNS server or Share point to make this happen?
Any input appreciated.

In DNS create a short name from which you want access sharepoint.
Assign it the same IP address as of SharePoint Machine.
Than in SharePoint central Administration Change the Alternate access mapping for your web application.

That is correct you do get five free ones.
Bad news for you though is that they are the very basic of basic Business Catalyst sites only. Those sites must be initially set up with Muse or Dreamweaver.

Easy and not depends on your software version:
press Shift+cmd+G while your finder window is open and active, you will get a new window with the field where you can write /etc/hosts
Anyway to edit hosts file you should open it with the sudo command, this can be done in terminal window, not in Finder. Also easy and can be done next way:
press Shift+Cmd+U while Finder window is open and active, then choose Terminal.app, and after it opens enter sudo nano /etc/hosts. You will be asked for password - this is the password you enter then you installing new application. You should know few commands to edit your hosts file:
Previoius page/Next Page of the file - Ctrl+Y/Ctrl+V
Add record - Input the text you need on the last free line of the file and then press Ctrl+O
Delete record - put cursor on the line you want to delete and press Ctrl+K
Undo - Ctrl+U
Exit - Ctrl+X
After edit your hosts file you should update DNS records - in terminal window enter the command dscacheutil -flushcache
But if you really don't know what are you doing, my advice is do not touch your hosts file, ask for professional to do his job. Just like I'm doing usually. )))
