  • How to access Oracle Enterpise Manager from outside my VM

    Hi,
I've Oracle VM VirtualBox version 4.1.2 installed on the host Windows XP and pre-built Database App Development VM (Updated Nov. 2011) worked on it.
Everything is OK, I have NAT network and can run Enterprise manager inside my VM on URL https://127.0.0.1:1158/em
    Pleas, describe shortly:
1.How I can access enterpise manager from outside VM ?
2.What I have to write (HOST, PORT etc) in my tnsnames.ora file on the host system for the VM Oracle server to connect it from the host system ?
    Sincerely,
    Alex
Edited by: AlexR on Dec 31, 2011 5:24 PM

    Hi Alex,
the host and port depends on your network setup of your VM.
Do an ifconfig -a and see what IP adress your guest has.
With this IP address you should be able to access EM from outside your VM (but on the VM host, not from outside the network) with the same port.

  • How to access Oracle forms 11g application through IE 10 Browser

    Hi There,
Application Server Forms and Reports 11.2.0.2 is deployed on weblogic server on OS windows 7.
How to access my application through IE 10 where OS Wondows 8?
    Regards,
    Asik

does it work with firefox or chrome?
You will find out you deeply have to know formsweb.cfg
However, ie 10 in general with oracle is not a good plan. E.g.:
    jpi_classid=clsid:8AD9C840-044E-11D1-B3E9-00805F499D93
I hear ie10 is being deployed to windows 7 and and ie11 is in the works.
which is why I say, oracle needs to develop their own program for launching forms. It doesn't have to be
full featured browser, just enough to run forms. Hint hint hint: you can get the source code of firefox, change it
and compile it. (remove their logos and so on.)

  • How to configure Oracle Configuration Manager in R12.0.4

    Dear
I need to configure oracle configuration manager for my running R12.0.4 instance on single node setup.Whenever i try update my metalink credentials in oracle application manager dashboard,it says userid or password is wrong. While installation i skip the OCM screen. How can i configure it now either using Universal installer or comand line? Need all steps for setup?
Do i need to download & install OCM client or is it already shipped with software & needs just configuration setup?
    Help me!
    Regards

    Ateeq,
Running AutoConfig should populate profile options with the correct values. However, you can check the values after running AutoConfig to verify it.
According to metalink document id, this Applications Server-Side Proxy Host And Domain profile needs to changed. Document id, will mention later.I forgot.Below are the notes:

the system is working fine but it's confusing of making troubles in future
could you please provide us with more information about this issue
    Thanks
    Mohamed

    Hi,
    1) Make sure you have a valid entry in the hosts file and you can ping the server. Also, make sure this node is trusted registered in the database.
Note: 429328.1 - Application Server Status Always Shown as Down in OAM

    2) Clear the FND_NODES table, and run AutoConfig on the database tier, then on the application tier (on every application tier node)

  • Oracle Application Manager

I know Oracle sells complete solutions. I know I don't need a complete. I just need a strong EJB application manager (like BEA WebLogic, or Imprise's Application Server)
which should be integrated later to a larger complete B2B solution.
    Any answers will be gratituded*
    Thanks.

  • Clone Oracle Applications 11i using Oracle Application Manager

    Hi All,
I am working on the following Metalink documents:

I am bit confused, if I am doing Cloning with OAM and providing all the information about the target system how does it work?
Is it that, cloning with OAM will make the required templates and I will have to just take the backup of my database and application and have to restore it on target machine and cloning is done!
    Please suggest,

Is it that, cloning with OAM will make the required templates and I will have to just take the backup of my database and application and have to restore it on target machine and cloning is done! This is not enough. You still need to complete the following steps on the target node:
Task 5: Configure the Target System
    Task 6: Initiate Data Purge

  • Look and feel of self-service pages under Oracle Applications Manager (OAM)

    Hi All,
After applying patches for upgrading the HRMS module from 12.1.3 to 12.1.5, look and feel of self-service pages under Oracle Applications Manager (OAM) changed means Buttons not appearing in proper manner. and look of pages are not in proper manner. This is happening for OAM self-service pages only.
Current HRMS patchset level : r12.hr_pf.b.delta.5
    OS : RHEL 5.3 x86_64
    Any idea please....
    Thanks inadvance,
    Regards,
    900076.

You need to ask your DBA to delete the cached stylesheets in /OA_HTML/cabo/styles/cache/...
You will also need to delete your temporary internet files.
Once both and deleted, re-access the page and you will see the updated stylesheets.
(Note: individual users may need to delete their temporary internet files too else they will see an old version cached on their computer)
Explanation: In new releases Oracle may introduce new additional OAF components. Each OAF component is assigned a shortcode/id by browsers in alphabetical order and a stylesheet generated.
If a new item is introduced, the shortcode/ids will change. However if an old version of the stylesheet still exists it will apply the wrong style to the wrong component.

  • How to install Adobe Application Manager?

How to install Adobe Application Manager? I downloaded it, but can't install.
Just purchased the CC for photographers.  Have been using Photoshop since version 3.
I have been studying your support docs for several days and have no business messing around with something called, .gz files and installation logs. Totally unsuccessful "Updating" my CS6 or CS6 bridge or Extension Manager or the Adobe Support Advisor by the CC Desktop.
Have no Photoshop CS6 because I followed your CC support instructions.
Uninstalled my CS6 today so I can finish a job tomorrow.  Bad decision on my part because I can't reinstall it and am unable to correct
    this problem.
I was able to use CC to update LR, but am absolutely too afraid to touch it now.
I have been waiting inline for Chat also, but the numbers ahead of me are going up.
If someone in this Community forum can help me, it would be fabulous.
    Thanks very much.

    Uninstalled Creative Cloud.
Downloaded it again - 4th time.
Deleted a AAMDetect file from the Library/Internet Plug-ins
Downloaded and installed Adobe App Manager and an icon for it is on my Desktop
    Installed Creative Cloud.
    OK.
Now how do get my Photoshop CS6 back before I download Photoshop CC?
CS6 is not listed in the available Apps in the CC Desktop.
Support wait time right now is 2 hours by phone.
After sitting on Chat yesterday only to see the people "waiting ahead of me" go from 17 to 18, I gave up.
    Please advise.
    Thanks again.
