How to access the EmbeddedFontRegistry in actionscript only code?

My name is Zach and I am trying to push outside of the flex framework, but keep the advantages of RSL's. I created my own Component/Data Library where all UI objects inherits directly from Sprite. However, when I moved this out of the Flex environment into, what I am calling, 'the pure actionscript' envinronment my RSL's no longer loaded-- when I compiled, so for the past 6 months I have just been compiling them internally. I finally had time to do some hunting and discovered the FlexModuleBootstrap, SimpleApplication and all of the fun undocumented things that go along with that and I have the RSL's loading, but now I am running into an error with my fonts:
Error: No class registered for interface 'mx.core::IEmbeddedFontRegistry'.
                at mx.core::Singleton$/getInstance()
                at mx.core::EmbeddedFontRegistry$/registerFonts()
                at _eThorityFW_mx_core_FlexModuleFactory/RSLRootCompleteListener()
So I have been looking into this and the classes EmbeddedFontRegistry along with IEmbeddedFontRegistry are undocumented and Excluded from the framwork.swc and I'm stuck figuring out how to register my fonts outside of the Flex environment. I have a single class called EmbeddedFonts which has the 6 embedded fonts in it and nothing else. My guess is that I need a [frame(factoryclass=???)] metatag for this so it effectively adds the Fonts to the EmbeddedFontRegistry, but I am swimming in too much information right now. If anyone out there has done this or has an idea of what I am to do I would be very grateful.

Thanks guys, these responses helped me research further, but I'm still stuck.
I am using Font.RegisterFont, and the error still comes up. If I continue through the error then the fonts register and everything looks good, but I still get this stupid error.
From the reading I've done on this, the common solution says to add/register an EmbeddedFontRegistry/IEmbeddedFontRegistry to the mx.core.Singleton class. However, I don't have access to any of these classes since they all have the [ExcludeClass] meta-tag in them. I'm sure that this is because I'm using an embedded font in the SimpleApplication(mx.core.FlexApplicationBootstrap ) not the regular Applciation(mx.managers.SystemManager) factory class. Anyway, I would just like a way of ensuring there is an EmbeddedFontRegistry class registered in Singleton before I try to register a font, any help is welcome.

You don't have to use the same ID for iCloud as you do for purchasing. You can just set up iCloud using your other ID.
If your have already have another account, you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted, set up your new account with the other ID, turn on your iCloud data syncing and when prompted, choose Merge to upload your data to the new account.

How to run the form that is only installed on a PC and not using a server?

I am new to Oracle and have taken the forms class. But I do not understand how to run the form from my PC using XP windows. (Do not have access to a server).
I have started the OC4J, made sure the listener was started, compiled the form and then when I run it, it automatically goes to the HTTP:
ERROR: res://ieframe.dll/acr_depnx_error.htm#,http://kevin:8889/forms/frmservle
I connected to the database correctly. I can process a report and it does nor try to access the internet. My only issue is running the form. I verified it compiled.
Sorry for a basic question. Could someone please help, I tried reviewing other questions, but not sure if they are connecting to a server or not.
I see webutil but is it required if I don't have a server? Thank you in advance.

Regardless of the version, it appears that you may not have configured the Builder. Do the following:
1. Open the Builder
2. From the menu, select Edit > Preferences > Runtime
3. In the box labeled "Application Server URL:", enter a local URL needed to run a form OR click the button labeled "Reset to Default". If you decide to manually enter a value, it would looks something like this:
http://localhost:8889/forms/frmservlet
4. In the field labeled "Web Browser Location:", enter the path and executable to your preferred browser. So for example if IE is your browser of choice the entry would most likely look like this:
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE
5. Click on OK and retest.
By the way, you can manually enter a URL in the browser. Clicking the RunForm button from the Builder is strictly optional. To run the "test" form directly from the browser enter the following into the browser's address field:

There isn't really a way to "save" photos to iCloud currently with non-beta software.
iCloud is involved with photos in 2 ways -- backup and Photo Stream.
Backup of an iOS device includes Camera Roll photos but they cannot be viewed at iCloud.com -- the backup can only be used when doing a restore of an iOS device.
Photo Stream photos also cannot be viewed at iCloud.com; Photo Stream is designed as a method of transferring photos from one device to another and is not designed to store the photos. More info http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been playing around with some of the classes of the java.net package and java.io
Using the URL class i can get the content of the data from a STATIC page and output that response to file so that is does not display to the client broswer.
But this only works if the URL i give points to a static html page.
So the problem i'm getting is if i'm righting in arguments in the URL, this means that server needs to process the arguments i give and its sends back a dynamic result. Because its dynamic the URL class can not handle this and throws me an exception everytime :(
Have u ever tried to do some things like this?

Hi,
First of all, were u successfull in creating the connection with the .mdb file.Like settting the DSN and configuring the .mdb file path in control panel.
If yes then one option might be that the file ur trying to access is in Read-only mode.

Create your class inse24 and inherit this CL_GUI_TEXTEDIT
class in yours. You can then access the protected methods.

I don't think that things have changed going from 10.5 Mail to 10.6 Mail in this regard (I need to log on to my laptop more often). So, assuming that my premise is correct, in the left hand column of the mail window, underneath your inbox, drafts, sent, trash, and junk mailboxes, there should be the descriptive name of your mail account, written in gray capital letters, with a gray triangle to the left of that name. If the gray triangle is pointing to the right, click on it so that it points downward. That will expand the account view of mailboxes on the server. You should be able to see all of the other folders.

You don't need to migrate anything.
The earlier FlexMonkey code as well as the current will run in FlexUnit 4 without modification. The only issue that you may encounter is that there is a known bug (waiting for a fix from the authors) where FlexUnit .9 tests (older FlexMonkey tests) run in the newer environment don't complete 100% of the time. Hoping we will see a fix on this shortly.

Using VB code, I am attempting to modify a Crystal Report before exporting it into a PDF format and then displaying it on the Web.
My problem is that I am unable to access the formula used to dynamically suppress a field.
The following code is working:

I can not find any reference to the actual suppression formula in the SDK help file.
Note, the EnableSuppress can be set to True for False, but if there is a formula for dynamic suppression, the True or False value is overwritten. The results of the formula determine the suppression.
Is there a way to reference this formula. I know that I can put on in using the Crystal Report Designer software, I need to modify this formula using VB code and the SDK.

If you are using the ReportDocument object you do not have access to the Conditional Suppression formula. You can get around it by using a formula field in the report for the supression and then using the FormulaField code to change it at runtime.
If you want to change the supression condition directly at runtime you need to use RAS and the ReportClientDocument.

Yes, sharing a TM disk is a bad idea, and disks are cheap enough so that you don't need to.
