How can I achieve the "High Octane Stack" sound shown on the Logic Express 'Plug-Ins and Sounds' page? ( http://www.apple.com/logicexpress/plug-ins.html - Listed under Metal Stacks)
I've been trying for days and can't get anything remotely close.
I'm running directly into a Presonus Firebox which is connected to my Mac via Firewire.

It is very hard to say how fast you can write the digital lines on an E-Series device, because it is completely software and computer dependent. The exact same DAQ device with the exact same code will execute completely different on a 233MHz machine when compared to a 2.4GHz machine, because it depends on how fast the computer can execute the loop. If your program slows down to perform another task like opening another program or surfing the web it will slow the rate the computer can execute the loop and mess up the timing.
In addition, the digital lines on the E-Series use the DAQ-STC chip that was never designed for high speed. If you need a high speed hardware time device I would suggest using the PCI-6533 or PCI-6534. The devices were desig
ned for high speed digital applications and can easily exceed the 10 kHz rate consistently.

How to check the current EHP stack level? in SAP . i have checked forum before i am posting but still comfused .
same one said SAP_APPL , EA_Appl and SAP _HR is 60n if n=1.2.3.4. if n =1 is enhanced package 1 similarly 2,3,4 .
some one said SAP_BASIS 701,702,703,704 . according ehp1,2,3,4.
Pls check the details and confirm either is ehp1 or ehp4 .
Component version is simply shows SAP ECC 6.0 in system -> status.

I have couple tables which I need to join to get the result....This is what is in the tables...

Now user can only register the course which are related with their job....NO course else.....
When they register it is moved to temp_course_registration and then once completed to COURSE_HISTORY
For Example : So Employee : 1A will see two courses to register A and B...
Say he registers A....it makes an entry in temp_course_registration table with the course id, employeeid and date....
With further steps once that status is updated to '1'.....the course is deleted from temp_course_registration and is moved to course_history........
Now to show to the user...I need to include all my tables in the query and on the basis of status, show necessary things to the user....
Output :
Course_ID, Status.............
Say if they completed the course will come from course_history, if in the process will come from temp_course_registration.....if nothing is in the tables for the specific employee...this means status is '5' and they need to register everything...
Can someone let me know, how to achieve the results....

I'm trying to figure out how to achieve the best possible narration in a documentary I'm doing using the FCP voice over tool, a USB mic, and Final Cut Studio's audio filters. Am I on the right track? How do I clean up an average voice over narration? Do I need additional equipment? Any advice would be appreciated.

The best thing you can do is to record it properly in the first place - if you want it to sound good. The environment you record in is VERY important as is the choice of mic you use ... most of the consumer USB mics aren't all that great in terms of quality.
Record in an acoustically flat room with good sound dampening. Even a clothes closet will do in a pinch. Record through a mixer so you can monitor the VO artist as they record. I've found it better to record to tape (camera or VTR) with a pro mic than to use FCP's voice over tool.

Off topic, but why aren't you just doing this:

and column_id in (25,26,31,32,24)If you want a guaranteed order, then you will have to specify and ORDER BY.
For instance this one (though I don't expect that this is what you are looking for).

How to reconfigure the tcp/ip stack in Solar8 to include my STREAMS module?

I am currently writing a NAT STREAMS module that I would like to place on the tcp/ip stack so it intercepts all incoming and outgoing packets going to or coming from the IP module. I want the stack to look like the following:
Current Solaris Stack: hme0 -> ip -> tcp
The new stack I want: hme0 -> MY_NAT -> ip -> tcp
I would appreciate any help to my problem. Also, if anyone knows a resource where I could find any more information like this please let me know. I've look at docs.sun.com and searched the web but I still haven't found the answer.

Check out the Solaris 8 (or 9) STREAMS programming manual on docs.sun.com.
It covers in detail how from userspace or from kernelspace linking a STREAMS module into the chain of modules. I think the example it gives is with terminal drivers, but same idea.

High Contrast themes on Windows 7&8 overwrites css styles on webpage, how do keep the High Contrast themes setting on window and use the stock CCS?

This was not a problem for me until Windows 8 now makes it so you HAVE to use high contrast theme to be able to change the background on windows explorer. Otherwise you have to accept it always being white. If there is a windows program that allowed me to change the windows colors like you used to be able to then I would not need to use the high contrast.

Note I have click on the Firefox button (Tools menu) and then click Options
Select the Content panel then Click the Colors... button.
I do have checkbox beside "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above" checked.
BUT Still
Windows somehow overrides this. This is bugging the hell out of me. How is it what windows has any control over Firefox's controls anyways?

I certainly appreciate this! tfkelly42 you did some great touch-ups on my sample mate! I do like this, like having you all over my shoulder saying, "click this, then that tool...." THANKS! And, I use PS6, so my version is NEWER than his....so I think I ought to achieve the same effect! BTW, here is a screenshot of my tool bar with BRUSH highlighted....but before venturing into a test....should I highlight the area in any way....prior to trying the brush tool and the rest? How to achieve the maximum file transfer rate from PXI to local host?

I will have to copy a huge amount of data (as big as 50 GB) from a PXI-8106 unit on site to a laptop. Currently it would take several hours. It is critical to max out the data transfer rate.
The standard method we've been using is just drag and drop using Windows Explorer via FTP. I tried to use FTP VIs with Filezilla Server as well but the transfer rate is only like 1.5 MB/s. Is this normal? Once I saw it was 3.0 MB/s but for some reason, that isn't happening now.
For another option, I tried to transfer data to a USB flash drive but it's even slower. As far as I know, USB 2.0 transfer rate is supposed to be around 60 MB/s but why would it be slower than 1.5 MB/s? What could be the speed limiting factor in my file transfer setup?
Any tips on improving file transfer rate would be appreciated!

Sustained 40 MB/s? That is my dream speed! The maximum speed I've ever seen here was about 25 MB/s, which is still very good, and that happened only after copying back and forth, which I explained above. Let me go through what I did with screencaps first.
These are the test tdms files to transfer in the PXI: an original file witten in the PXI and its copy file. I copied the original file from PXI to laptop and renamed it (added '_copy') and then copied it back to PXI.
FTP module is transferring the original file to the Filezilla server on laptop. Note the low speed.

This is the FTP sub VI I'm using. It transfers files in sub-folders (one level lower), too. The data connection is set to 'passive' on the FTP Put Multiple Files VI but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I attach the sub VI.
You tried the file transfer with a 500 MB text file. Would there be any difference if the file type was tdms? Would the RAM size matter? It is 2GB here.
And the LED is orange, which means Gigabit.
Another question: Is there any way to programmatically stop file transfer in progress? Currently, I just have to restart the PXI.

How to change the high of detail section?

I'm creating a report for a invoice:It header section is the customer information, and detail contain all about products..My problem is with the High of the detail section, because it is so much high, and i need to put more information in the footer section but it apear near to end of paper! 

Can you maybe give a bit more information about the problem? It sounds like you have many detail sections that are repeating and this is pushing your group footer to the end of the page.... Is this as simple as needing a longer page size?
