How to activate a Inactive cube ?

Hi experts,
One of my cube in the BI production system is in Inactive state. I want to activate it.
Is there any standard procedure for activating it. i.e any function module for activating the cubes ?
If so plz guide me a step by step procedure. Or do i need to manually activate it ?

Hi,
You will not have authorization to activate the cube in production.
consult basis for providing the authorization.
But first find the route cause for y it went to inactive(may be due to some transport).
do activation in development and move to quality and then transport to production.

No other way. But usually it's far more simple as all objects are already in our own worklist.
I wonder why your objects are not already in your worklist, as everytime you create or maintain an object, it is added to your worklist.

How to activate the queries which are inactive

1) After BW upgradation from 3.5 to 7.0 we found some of the queries are inactive. Can anyone let me know how to activate those inactive queries.

After upgrade or client copy you'll need to set the release indicator for queries (prog. RSAQUM40), in general it is only possible to transport those queries that are created in the global area. For conversion of queries refer OSS notes 92124/109094/119655.
However if you wish to move queries from the standard area use program RSAQR3TR, execute the program via TX SA38 then click in the blue "i" (information button) for full details of the program.

Hi Erwan,
please check the job log in sm37, the syslog with sm21 and the dump overview with st22 and see if there are any to this activation related entries and let us know the result.
Additionally you can try to activate it in foreground and you will see some messages.

if you want to activate cube in business content do this steps.
1).select your data source and maintain all the things in r/3 side.
2).then come to bi side .
3).t-code rsorbct.
4).you must have an idea about your app component .i..e that app belongs to sd or mm or hr or finance .
5).if it belongs to purchasing select infoobj and select supply chain management ,select purchasing.
6).select char and key fig,drag and drop it into right side component .
7).select info provider select supply chain management and select your cube .
8).how to find cube .that is cube like 0pur_c01,c02,c03,c04 like that select any of the cube and drop in to right side component .
9).now installation part.
10).select source system top side and select your source ecc 6.0, select component and select install/activate.
11).now your cube is ready to use .create package for full,initialize ,delta.ok

My question is - how to activate this SYNP Time Stamp.. ?
                      - Once I activate this SYNP Time Stamp.. How do I activate this ..in SE11 or some other
                        TCode..

Read note 1152612 - Incorrect component type in structure WRMA_S_RESULT_DATA.
The error occurs in Release BI_CONT 703 Support Package 9.
If you require an advance correction for Support Package 9, make the following manual changes if the InfoObject 0TCTLSTCHG is inactive in your system.
1. Use transaction RSA1 to call the Data Warehousing Workbench.
2. Check whether the InfoObject 0TCTLSTCHG was already activated by the compilation process the first time you called transaction RSA1. You can use transaction RSD1 to check this by entering 0TCTLSTCHG in the "InfoObject" field and choosing "Display". Proceed as follows if the InfoObject is still not active:
3. Go to BI Content activation.
4. Select "Object Types".
5. Open the "InfoObjects" tree and select "Objects".
6. Search for the InfoObject 0TCTLSTCHG and select it.
7. Transfer the object and activate it.
These steps activate the required component type /BI0/OITCTLSTCHG. You can check again in transaction RSD1 to ensure that the InfoObject 0TCTLSTCHG is available as active.

BW upgrade - Inactive Cubes / Objects

Hi ,
We are upgrading from BW3.5 to BI7.3.
One of the pre-upgrade requirement is :
All InfoCubes should be active --> Execute ABAP RSUPGRCHECK to locate any inactive InfoCubes. See SAP note 449160.
There are some multiproviders in our development environment which is inactive and its not in use. We are keeping it incase we need to re-use it later.
1.Can i know can the upgrade tool progress successfully without any issue with this remaining inactive cubes?
2.If can, what is the impact to this inactive multiprovider after the upgrade? Can it still be accessed as before and activated later in BI7.3 in case we need it?

if you are not using now then no need activate that multiprovider.
it will be available even after upgradation in your system.
if you want you can activate later and use it.

there the planning version 'A00' showing active instead of '000' which works as a updation when ever requried.

What we need to do is create inactive version say 001 or 010 anything and forcast sales plan or production plan
Creat sales plan in MC87 and then goto MC88 make this inactive plan to active plan which system automatically takes to A00

So here in the Source Version Provide the SOP version that you have created,
In the Target Version give Version A00

Method name - CHECK_RELEASED
In se80 this method is showing red, means it is inactive.
Please guide me how to turn it to green?
And there is commented code "* ce_is_released = true."
How to uncomment it?
Is i need to apply access key to do this?

for pilot customers the functionality is released,
for all others not to be a pilot customer please check note 520965
then activate this line here
ce_is_released = true.

Go to FK02 And Give vendor number and Company code in COMPANY CODE DATA TAB select the Right tick mark in PAYMENT Transactions and press enter here go to automatic Pmnt transaction tab area Payment Block press F4 and select Free for Payment and SAVE.

How to Activate Datastore loaded with Transformation.

Hi Gurus!
When I used update rules and infopackages to load an ODS (with activate data flagged) loaded records were automatically activated.
Now I'm starting to use transformations and when I load data to Datastores I have to manually activate loaded data.
Is there any way to activate automatically loaded data??
I found how to do it for cubes but not for Datastore objects...

How to activate a pricing condition

Hi Gurus,
We have a sales order where the pricing conditions are shown inactive at item level. Hence there is net price appearing at item level, but the net price is not shown at the header level.
This is an issue because when invoice is created, it is getting created with value = 0.
We tried updating pricing at both header and item levels with pricing type - C, but of no use.
Request your help in letting us know how to activate the pricing conditions, so that the value appears at the header level.

Could you please try updating with B and recheck. (in the sales order).
You may cancel the invoice created as its with ZERO value.
Also if its not working revert back with your condition types in the pricing procedure.

so it's difficult to see the active status
but this is not a problem for sure
check out SMQ1/SMq2 for issues and not the scheduler
