How to activate a transformation

I want to activate the transformations in BI 7.0 using a program . is there any program to do as we have program RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL in 3.X systems to activate transfer rules ..I want to do this bcoz I am getting a short dump when I am trying to open a transformation

Hi,
There is no stadard program for activating transformation in BI 7.0.
You are getting a dump when opening a Transformation means there is some inconsistencies cuased in the tables for the transformation.
There are few problems with Transformation up to SP15.
I would suggets to raise a OSS message to SAP, or create a new transformtiaon if possible.

I Have done some modifications in datasource in R/3 when i treid to run the Infopacakge in BI, I see the Datasource is inactivate.
So I have activated the DS through the program in se38 rsds_datasource_activate_all, after that i see the transformations and DTP is inactivate.
In 3.5 we have program to activate the transfer rules and updates though rsds_transtru_activate_all i dont have idea for update rules program to activate.
*Is there any program to activate the transformations and DTP in Production.Rather than re-transport entire thing.*

There is no activation program for Transformations. In order to do that in production, you would have to have the client opened for modification and manually activate the Transformation(s) that are in a deactivated state. This isn't advisable however. The best approach to activate deactivated Transformations is to capture on a transport in the development environment and move that transport throughout the landscape to production.
The SAP delivered ABAP program RSDKDTPREPAIR is available for activating DTPs. There is no selection screen for this program, however, and therefore it would try to activate all DTPs. This program should only be executed in background.
Here are the other activation programs in case you need them or are interested (I realize that you mentioned or more already):
RSDG_CUBE_ACTIVATE (InfoCube)
RSDG_IOBJ_ACTIVATE (InfoObject)
RSDG_MPRO_ACTIVATE (MultiProvider)
RSDG_ODSO_ACTIVATE (DSO)

How to activate transformations/DTPs related a DSO all together?

In Bi, i am changing a DSO Description Name only but it invalidates all its associated transformations/DTPs. Then I need to activate all its Transformations/DTPs to activate one by one. Is there any way I could activate all its Transformations/DTPs alltogether.

Hi harpal,
There is no standard program given by sap to activate Transformations and DTP. you need to activate them manually.
for transformation you need to activate them manually or you need to create your own program to activate them.
Check the below link which shows a program to activate the Transformatins and DTP

If your service pack is 25 and Bi 7.0 then there is a program to activate the Transformations
Got the below note which give the Program name which can be used to activate the Transformations.
Note 1408161 - Program for transformation activation
Program to activate transformations RSDG_TRFN_ACTIVATE
But the its available only from the BW 7.0 it is SP25.

How to active the transformations in production system when Time stamp error occured in SAP BI.
In SAP BW we use RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL for tranfer rules activation.Is there any chance Activation allowes in production system witout any ABAP programme running.

There is a specific program for that: RSDG_TRFN_ACTIVATE. It will also re-activate the related DTPs.

Dump when I activate a transformation with a formula.

Hi All,
I 've different problems with transformations....
Particulary when I activate a transformation with a formula, it terminates in dump with exception "ASSERTION_FAILED" in class CL_RSRAN_FOBU_APPL method GET_CODE.
I' ve read the note 1050275 (ASSERTION_FAILED in CL_RSTRAN_FOBU_APPL->GET_CODE) that seems to have the solution for this problem, but the correction instruction proposed is already applied and the problem still running...
Infact the note suggest to apply the support package SAPKW70014...and I've SAP_BW 700 with SAPKW70015.
I've also read the note 1055217 and 998730, but I'm not able to find the right solution.
How I can solve the problem?

does this happen with all Transformations, or only with once into the DSOs or InfoCubes.
If only into the above mentioned target I have a possible solution for you.
I had a similar problem recently, you are probably also working with some Master Data Update. The InfoObjects that you are updating into the DSO or InfoCubes are being updated(With Master Data Transformaion) with Master Data as well, these need to be active, otherwise the check goes into the following tables(please see below) and if there are inconsistences it ends with "ASSERTION_FAILED".
These the relevant tables for Routines and Formulas, please check them as well:
Formulas are maitained in the follwing tbls:

                      - Once I activate this SYNP Time Stamp.. How do I activate this ..in SE11 or some other
                        TCode..

Read note 1152612 - Incorrect component type in structure WRMA_S_RESULT_DATA.
The error occurs in Release BI_CONT 703 Support Package 9.
If you require an advance correction for Support Package 9, make the following manual changes if the InfoObject 0TCTLSTCHG is inactive in your system.
1. Use transaction RSA1 to call the Data Warehousing Workbench.
2. Check whether the InfoObject 0TCTLSTCHG was already activated by the compilation process the first time you called transaction RSA1. You can use transaction RSD1 to check this by entering 0TCTLSTCHG in the "InfoObject" field and choosing "Display". Proceed as follows if the InfoObject is still not active:
3. Go to BI Content activation.
4. Select "Object Types".
5. Open the "InfoObjects" tree and select "Objects".
6. Search for the InfoObject 0TCTLSTCHG and select it.
7. Transfer the object and activate it.
These steps activate the required component type /BI0/OITCTLSTCHG. You can check again in transaction RSD1 to ensure that the InfoObject 0TCTLSTCHG is available as active.

How to activate the ATP buckets in APO?

Hi,
We are in the process of changing the ATP buckets in our APO system.
I know the Path in the configuration:
Advanced Planning and Optimization -> Global Available-to-Promise (Global ATP) -> General Settings -> Maintain Global Settings for Availability Check
On the left side you will get three sections:
Global Settings
ATP Buckets (Active)
ATP Buckets (Planned)
I can change the values in (example field Shift Receipt Bucket) the ATP Buckets (Planned) section and save it with a transport. Now the question is how to activate the buckets. Is there another transaction for this? SAP Help doesn't specify how to activate.
Any ideas are highly appreciated.

To activate the buckets one need to check the box 'Current' in the options under ATP Buckets (Active). Also, as referred earlier by Dipthi do look up the documentation under:

The system activates the bucket parameters in the following situations:
Since activation in each of the situations described below leads to downtime, you should change bucket parameters less frequently than other Customizing settings.
·        Creating the active planning version for a client using transaction /SAPAPO/MVM
If you set up a system again, you should process the bucket parameters before you create the active planning version. The bucket parameters are thus activated automatically.
·        Initializing SAP liveCache for all clients using transaction LC10
In the case of an upgrade, you should process the bucket parameters before activating SAP liveCache. The bucket parameters are then activated automatically.

How to use the transformation matrix in Placed Suite.

I am in trouble how to use the transformation matrix Placed Art (PlacedSuite ).

When I converted to using the transformation matrix of PlacedArt, the target art could not be converted to expect.
I could convert in case of the RasterArt. (The reference point of the transformation matrix of RasterArt is (0,0).)
In the PlacedArt, preference point is not (0,0)?
The tx/ty of the transformation matrix of PlacedArt is not correct?
In the transformation matrix of RasterArt and Placed Art, how are those two different?

The short answer is "no", (0, 0) is not the origin of placed art (unlike kRasterArt). Off the top of my head, I believe when you place art, its original state is upside-down and flipped horizontally in the upper-right of the artboard. If you want to see where it starts, simply create an identity matrix and apply that as the matrix for the kPlacedArt and you'll see how it starts. Yes, its pretty crazy.

... I have found a (long winded) way to do this:
- Environment / Inactive Objects
- Add to Worklist
- Display Worklist
- Select All
- Activate
this will open a dialog titled "Inactive Objects for <username>"
which has the exact functionality I need ... but I can't figure out how to get to this dialog directly - without so many intermediate steps
the SAP docs repeatedly mention the ability to activate the inactive worklist - but do not mention how
does anybody know the TCode for this dialog?

ps does the term "mass activation" apply to importing change requests rather than development activation?

No other way. But usually it's far more simple as all objects are already in our own worklist.
I wonder why your objects are not already in your worklist, as everytime you create or maintain an object, it is added to your worklist.

If FaceTime is not hidden by Restrictions (Settings>General<Restrictions) you got duped. iPods officially sold in Dubai and some other countries that prohibit FT do not have FT and there is not way to get FT on those iPods.

A new line will be appeared below.
Current Status will be OFF. Click within Field: Current Status. It will pop-up a list. Select "X - ON".

How to activate Events Calendar Sample Application's Weekly and Daily View?

Does anyone know how to activate the Weekly and Daily View for the sample calendar application called "Events?" I am trying to generate, or incorporate, a calendar application based upon the sample application provided by Oracle. I have installed the sample application but I am unable to view the calendar in daily or weekly formats. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in-advance.

If the calendar was set up to only use the Monthly view, then you will be missing a number of items on your page.
The simplest thing to do would be to create a new calendar page in your copy of your sample app and then identify those items that are missing from your original page. These should be Monthly/Weekly/Daily buttons, Adjust Calendar Date - Monthly/Weekly/Daily processes and a hidden Pnn_CALENDAR_TYPE page item that holds the currently displayed type.

U pls Check ur configuration. First u check the calculation procedure (F.A- Tax on sales & purchase-Basic setting-Check calculation procedure _ Define procedure) In the procedure field u check JM01 is activated or deactivated otherwise u created in condition Type.
