How to activate Acrobat Pro XI on a non persistant VDI desktop?

Hi,
I installed Acrobat Pro XI on a Citrix XenDesktop non persistant environment. I used the customization wizard and all seems to work without any questions for activation, but... When I logon to the desktop I start Acrobat Pro XI and I don't have the "PRO" options enabled (like for example  PDF Portfolio). When I close the program and open it again I do have the PRO options so it looks like the program is activating online at the first startup of the program.
I don't think my users like to start a program then have to close it and start again to use the full options and it shouldn't be working like that.
Does somebody know how to fix this?
Kind regards,
Freek van Ekkendonk

When the user is logging on he gets a random desktop from the pool, al the virtual desktops have the same image. The registration has been done once on the master image. It could be that when the computer name changes to a random name in the pool the license gets expired because of the changed computername and then tries to activate again online.
I don't think I have a volume serial number and I don't use the off-line exception because I couldn't get it to work. Below is the error log.

I have an Acrobat Pro subscription and just bought a new computer - how do I activate Acrobat Pro again on the new PC?

    Hi davadlaw,
You can install Acrobat on the new PC and use your Adobe ID to activate the software.
The purchased subscription is linked to your Adobe ID.

  • I can't activate Acrobat Pro license

    Hello
after the inconveniences and the impossibility to connect and sync my documents with Creative Cloud Connection, now it is the turn of Acrobat Pro to giving me trouble.
I can't activate Acrobat Pro license, so I can't use it.
After launching Acrobat Pro, a blank page that should contain the license agreement appears, but the button for accepting the license doesn't work. I have deinstalled and reinstalled several times the application without success.
Thank you to explain me how to resolve this problem.

  • How to activate Acrobat 12

How does an IT administrator activate Acrobat Pro 12? I have the option to sign in or create an enterprise ID. Will my users be asked again to sign in, or if I activate as administrator is that good enough? What happens if I move an installation to another system? Is there an 'activation limit'?
How will these things change when I'm looking at upgrading Acrobat standard 11 to 12? Currently I only have a 12 Pro (upgrade) license, but we have many 11 Std licenses we will probably upgrade at some point in the future.
We are mostly using Windows 7 Professional. Our domain users are "restricted" or "standard" users and not able to install/update their own software. We (IT administrators) usually install the license key when we install the software, but now that requires an adobe sign in. My colleagues in our IT may not have my adobe sign-in information, how is that to be handled?
I saw the option to create an Enterprise adobe ID, but no explanation as to what that is. Could somebody give a run-down on how a small IT staff should be handling licensing with Acrobat 12, and what an Enterprise ID is?
I apologize if this has already been covered. The search results didn't get me anywhere close to this topic.
    Thanks
    -Derek

DC products introduce two tracks: Continuous and Classic. You need to decide which track to be on prior to deployment as they are quite different. See Document Cloud Product Tracks — Enterprise Administration Guide
The Classic track is "business as usual" (like 11). Use a license to preserialize the installer.
The Continuous track can use a license, but it also can be activated by user ID for admins who want to use named-user deployments and manage entitlements via the Enterprise Dashboard.
    Hope that gets you started.

  • Cannot activate Acrobat Pro XI

I had a subscription to Acrobat Pro XI and it automatically transferred to Acrobat DC I don't like DC at all, it has many bugs. I followed the on-line instructions to uninstall it and reinstall Acrobat Pro XI.When I try to activate Acrobat Pro XI it comes up with an error "Licensing of this software has stopped".I downloaded the trial from Adobe but when I sign in Acrobat Pro does not show up in my products so I cannot see the serial number, Very frustrating.
    Please help.

    Hi stephenl816,
I've checked your account, and it looks like your subscription was not part of a Creative Cloud membership. So, it may be that you used the wrong installer to reinstall Acrobat XI. Please uninstall Acrobat, and then reinstall following the instructions in this document: Acrobat trial removed previous version | How to reinstall.
An Acrobat subscription doesn't require a serial number, as we use your Adobe ID/password as verification/activation. You should not be prompted to enter a serial number if you install from the link provided in the document I link to.
Let us know how it goes!
    Best,
    Sara

  • Why does Adobe force you to install a "cloud" program before they will activate Acrobat Pro?

Why does Adobe force you to install a "cloud" program before they will activate Acrobat Pro?

If you are referring to the Cloud desktop application, that replaced the Adobe Application Manager (AAM) which is what would previously have been installed instead.

  • How to activate ACROBAT X PRO?

HELP!!!!  I have the teacher/student edition for acrobat X pro.  I originally downloaded to my desktop.  However, I now have a laptop w/o drive.  I downloaded the 30 day trial which has expired.  I have the product/activation code from my orig. software. ...but it does not work.  How do I activate?  What happened to phone support?

Are both MACs or PCs, not a mix? The serial number is for only the MAC or Windows, not both.

  • How to download Acrobat Pro to Surface? [was: download]

I have the cd for installing Acrobat Pro but would like to install it on my Surface which does not have a cd device. How do I do this?  Can I download?

    Hey Chad Wilson,
What OS are you using on your new system?
You might need to deactivate Acrobat from your old machine and then activate it on the new one with the same serial number.
Remember, if you own volume license of an Adobe product that is installed on a system at work (say), then you can install it on secondary computer at home (say) of the same platform.

  • How to STOP Acrobat Pro DC popups?

I purchased Acrobat Pro in 2014. Now I keep getting Acrobat Pro DC popups. When I followed the instructions from the forum and clicked the button to "license" the software (that is already licensed), the number was not recognized.  How to stop popups?

    Hey [email protected],
Since you are using an Acrobat license, you cannot use the same serial key to activate DC version.
Please refer the following link to disable those pop ups:
    Lockable Settings
    Hope that helps.

  • After TimeMachine restore, cannot re-activate Acrobat Pro 9

My iMac's hard drive crashed last week and after replacement, I restored from a TimeMachine back-up on an external hard drive. The only issues I had were getting Adobe applications (CS4 Web Premium) back up and running. After running the License Repair Tool, I was able to re-activate PhotoShop and Dreamweaver with my serial number. However, when I tried to run Acrobat Pro 9, it would not accept that same serial number the others did.
When I launched the application, I got a dialogue asking for the serial number. When I entered the serial number, a red X displayed to the right. When I clicked the "Next" button, I got an error stating that the serial number was invalid. I double-triple checked the number to insure it was correct, but no dice. HELP!

    Hi BenjaminLipsman,
Thank You for posting on the forums. Kindly try the steps mentioned in http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-invalid-serial-number-acrobat.html
