  • Installing office 365 Home edition on a different hard drive than windows (C:\)

    Hi everyone.
    I recently got an invite from a familymember to install office 365, which is great.
    What's not so great is that it is not possible to customize the installation and install office on a different drive than windows.
    - I am using Windows 8.1 Pro.
    I've done some searching on Google and have heard about a method called click-2-run, which is basically downloading files required to a directory of choice and installing these files. However I need to generate two different xml files to use this method.
    I'm know how the xml files are run together with the setup.exe file, but have very limited information about how the syntax in the xml files work.
    So my question is: How do I install Office 365 on a different partition than my C-drive?
    I have an E-drive with loads of space in which I've made a folder called "Microsoft Office 2015" and placed the essential click-2-run files.
    - download.xml
    - configuration.xml
    - setup.exe
    What should these files contain for me to download and install Office 365 on my E-drive?
    Best regards,

  • TS4463 I have just installed office 365 and now icloud will not work.  It says that I need to open or install outlook.  Before I installed 365, ICloud worked  and I believe I had Outlook loaded yet it is not there any longer.   I am lost.

    I just installed office 365 Home Premium editiion and have lost my ICloud capabilities.  I cannot sign in nor will Photostream work.   A message comes up that says I need Outlook on my computer (I had it before  the 365 was loaded).   I checked on-line and it says that windows 7 does not support outlook and that I cannot download it (don't know how I got it before).   I am totally confused as what to do.   Really upset as I needed the new office package as Windows 7 wouldn't support the 2010 started edition any longer without my buysing that.  Figured it made sense to get the newest version.  Packaging says that it contains outlook.   I don't know what to do at this point.

    Did you remove the existing installation of Office before installing the new one?
    I checked on-line and it says that windows 7 does not support outlook and that I cannot download it (don't know how I got it before).
    Outlook is part of Office 365, and Windows 7 supports all versions of Outlook back to 2003.
    I am totally confused as what to do.
    You need to correctly remove all versions of Office on your Mac, you need to remove their settings as well. You need to save your Office Userdata from removal by moving it temporarily. I would also uninstall iCloud.
    Then reinstall Office 365 followed by iCloud.

    Hi

  • Display level suppressed when installing Office 365 ProPlus via SCCM even though XML says Display Level="Full"

    As the title says the display level is suppressed when installing Office 365 ProPlus via SCCM even though XML says Display Level="Full"
    I would like to install Office ProPlus with the display level visible to the user.  Not all users are local admins so I've installed Office within the admin context.  Does this happen because SCCM installs under system context and as such suppresses
    pop ups to the end user?
    Has anyone been able to get this to work or am i doing something wrong?  If someone can offer me some guidance please.  Here is my XML:
    <Configuration>
    <Add OfficeClientEdition="32" >
        <Product ID="O365ProPlusRetail">
          <Language ID="en-us" />
        <ExcludeApp ID="Access" />
          <ExcludeApp ID="InfoPath" />
          <ExcludeApp ID="Groove" />
          <ExcludeApp ID="Project" />
          <ExcludeApp ID="SharePointDesigner" />
          <ExcludeApp ID="Visio" />
        <ExcludeApp ID="OneNote" />
          <ExcludeApp ID="Publisher" />
        </Product>
      </Add>  -->
    <Updates Enabled="True" />
    <Display Level="Full" AcceptEULA="TRUE" />
    <Property Name="FORCEAPPSHUTDOWN" Value="1" />
    <Logging Name="OfficeSetup.txt" Path="%temp%" />
      <!--  <Property Name="AUTOACTIVATE" Value="1" />  -->
    </Configuration>

    When i install Office 365 ProPlus manually (independently of SCCM) I see the prompts (same SCCM Package and configuration.xml file).  This suggests it is suppressed when ran in the system context via SCCM.
    How does Microsoft expect you to maintain the build versions (running setup.exe /configure XML) if users are unable to view the prompts? This is significant if the user is already in an Office program they'd get prompted with a message to close the app else
    it automatically closes OR fails depending on if you include the ForceAppShutdown switch in the configuration.xml file.
    The users in the environment are not all local admins which is why i cannot run the deployment in the user context.
    I really need some help, anyone?

  • How to downlaod and Install Elements 12?

    How to downlaod and Install Elements 12?

    if you follow all 7 steps you can directly download a trial here:  http://prodesigntools.com/photoshop-elements-12-direct-download-links-premiere.html
    and activate with your serial number.
    if you have a problem downloading, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
    the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
    failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com

  • Trouble Installing Office 365

    Using the OfficeDeploymentTool.exe I was trying to follow this post
    https://marckean.wordpress.com/2013/07/01/fully-automate-the-installation-of-office-365/to install Office 365.    I did what this post said, I copy/paste the .XML settings into my .XML and I run this command.   setup.exe /download
    configuration.xml    when I do this I get the following error.
    I have an internet connection and I have tons of free space.      Is the post I'm following wrong or what else can cause this?

    I have an internet connection and I have tons of free space.      Is the post I'm following wrong or what else can cause this?
    The post isn't wrong, but it does seem to gloss over an important detail.
    When you create the share on your server, and you grant permissions to that share (so clients can access the installation fileset), you must grant permissions to the correct identities.
    MSFT suggest that you grant "Read" permissions on the share, *AND* also Read permissions in NTFS - and in the MSFT example you would grant those NTFS permissions to "Domain Computers" and or "Domain Users". (Or you can grant
    to "Authenticated Users" which includes both user accounts and also computer accounts).
    The message you are getting, usually occurs when the user account performing the installation can't access the fileset correctly.
    e.g., the setup.exe and configuration.xml can be accessed, but the streamed content (which contains the actual Office files) can't be accessed).
    This can happen if you mis-configure the  XML element: SourcePath="https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/23949d88-888e-4930-8773-6238e11c36be/c2r-17002-error?forum=officeitpro

  • How to get sharepoint online (office 365) data in cloud/windows azure (provider) hosted app using Javascript?

    How to get sharepoint online (office 365) data in cloud/windows azure (provider) hosted app using Javascript?
    I wish to retrieve sharepoint online data in html page (hosted in windows azure) using javascript and then need to play with AngularJS

    Hi,
    According to your description, you might want to get data from Office 365 SharePoint Online(also known as host web) and pass to the Provider Hosted App which is hosted
    in Windows Azure site.
    I would suggest you take a look at the links below about accessing data from the host web
     for a quick start:

  • How to get and install the new MSI Bluetooth Software Package 1.4.3.3.

    How to get and install the new MSI Bluetooth Software Package 1.4.3.3.
    This little FAQ will only cover the new version of MSI Bluetooth Software Package.
    First thing too do is unistall any older version of the MSI Bluetooth Software.
    Do this through the Add/Remove program applet in your control panel.
    There seams too be only through Live update you could get the new version of MSI Bluetooth Software Package.
    If you can't see any enter for MSI Bluetooth Software in the Live driver section of Live update then you have too enter the following too your registry.
    Create following code in Notepad and save it as MSILD.reg, then run the file.
    ;-->Code start
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MSI\Drivers\MSI Bluetooth Software]
    "DrvSetup"="1"
    "Version"="1.4.2.10"
    ;-->Code end
    Rerun the Live update and hopefully you will now see a entry for MSI Bluetooth Software in Live driver section.
    Install the new version of MSI Bluetooth Software and reboot your computer. Even if the setup program doesnt told you too doit.
    After rebooting the computer you will see the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar. If it's Red then try too start the Bluetooth services by right click on the try icon and the only alternetiv there is.
    If the Bluetooth services is asking for a valid licens.dat then you should do the following.
    Surf to Jon's Bluetooth guide http://www.jonsguides.com./bluetooth/prepare.html and download the patcher from the link there.
    Unzip the the patcher and then run the BTWPatcher.exe program.
    Now the Bluetooth services will start and you will bee able too configure your own settings for the Bluetooth services.
    If nothing of this work you could try the complete Bluetooth solution at Jon's gudie and install the IBM version of the same program. I havent test this solution and will not do soo.

    I have the MS-6968 device and i want to use driver 1.4.x or 3.0.x. I found the driver 1.4.2.10 but i cannot find any WIDCOMMSecurity code.
    So, can anyone give me a link for BTWPatcher.exe???
    It cannot be found here (Jon's Bluetooth ) anymore.
    Thanks

  • How to create and install a toolbar to a browser using java

    Hi all,
    Can any one guide me about how to create and install toolbar to a browser using java ??
    please any one help me about this,i am not getting any idea about this..
    Thanks and Regards

    I doubt you can. Those browser toolbars are done by implementing to an API provided by the browser. That API, I don't believe, is provided via Java. But of course, that would be entirely up to the browser, not Java.

  • How to find and install right java for ECC6 intstallation on AIX5.3

    Hello
    I wander how to find and install right java for ECC6 intstallation on AIX5.3. I went thruroughly thru note 723909 and underlying 716927, 1008311 and 1039948 notes but I still do not understand.
    I guess I should logon to IBM site http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/jdk/aix/service.html
    where I can choose :
    " Java 1.4.2 64-bit "
    and then :
    "64-bit SDK 1.4.2 base images (at 1.4.2.0 level; in installp format) "->"Base SDK (required)
    Java14_64.sdk.tar  ((50001920)
    then I assume (on AIX ) I should "tar xvf Java14_64.sdk.tar".
    then I get extracted "Java14_64.sdk"
    Is this ok?
    I know on Linux(
    from IBM site I downloaded "IBMJava2-amd64-142.rpm"
    then I issued
    "rpm -i IBMJava2-amd64-142.rpm "
    and finally issued
    "export JAVA_HOME=/opt/IBMJava2-amd64-142")
    What in case of AIX5.3? Could you help me?

    I was told to use smitty (just I am not familiar with it). furdermore i do not hace read.me file. the ziped files are:
