How to activate CS4 on new Mac which does not have CD/DVD drive?

One answer to this elsewhere in the foum was to copy the discs to a thumb drive, then copy them to the new computer, then use those to install CS4 (or any pre-Cloud version) on the new machine. This works for disc-1. But there's no way to "install" disc-2 or to make the half-complete installation process pick up disc-2. How can I install CS4 on my new Mac?

Very easy. Tell me what version Photoshop you have and I'll direct you to the proper downloadable installer file.
Have your serial number ready. You can activate on 2 computers, so don't deactivate the old one until you are updated and sure it works on the new one.
As a side note: You never copy or transfer Photoshop to a new computer, you have to install.

Is your CS6 serial number for Windows or Mac? If Windows then you must apply for a platform swap to get a Mac serial number for CS6.

There has to be some kind of code somewhere within the package. The disk itself does not contain one. You can look here for help with finding your serial number:

If the redemption comes only on a disk, then you will have to get access to a DVD drive, either by borrowing or purchasing one, or by using the Remote Disk feature if you have another computer available that does have a DVD drive.
