How to defeat built-in audio on HP Pavilion a1000y

I have a Pavilion a1000y, running Windows XP Sp. 2.
I want to digitize some old 1/4 inch audio tapes of my own and my wife's professional music performances while the tapes are still alive.
I can get a 24 bit 96kHz analog to digital conversion sound card that I can afford, but want to avoid any problems or conflicts by turning off the HP's built-in audio. How do I go about doing that, and what are the steps to reverse it if I should later want or need to remove the card?
I don't have all thumbs, but the easiest/simplest instructions will much be appreciated.

You simply install the sound card. If needed you can open the BIOS Setup utility at startup, go to the Advanced tab, and disable onboard audio.

If you are looking for a new driver for your sound card, i would suggest you to use DriverIdentifier (http://www.driveridentifier.com) to search for drivers, it's a very small tool but their database is very large. It's free.

With the rewire slave running, create an aux track in Logic. You should see rewire as an option for the inputs of the aux track.

How to activate the option posting period for T.code F.2E

HI All,
When we execute T.code F.2E the selection parameters available are
1. company code
2. partner company code
3. open at key date
4. display currency.
As the program documentation says we can reconcilie by selecting option for posting period in F.2E
Below is the SAP documentation on the program.
You use the Posting period selection option to specify the time period in which the posting dates of the documents need to fall in order to be included by the program. Open items, cleared items, and payment documents are all selected. See the section Parameter Open for key date and Selection Option Posting period for further information. If you want to start the program with this date selection, the option must be selected accordingly.
But the field for posting period is not available in selection parmeter, we are on 4.7 EE version.
Please let me know how to activate the option for posting period in selection parameters for T.code F.2E

We are on 4.7 version. I have executed program RFICRC00, but stil can't find the option posting period.

How are you trying to Invite ?
Text Chats
Double click any Buddy in the list should open a chat window for Text chat.
You can now start typing.
Alternatively you can highlight a Buddy and then use the icons at the Bottom of the Buddy List.
The "A" is Text chat.
Another alternative is to go to the File Menu and > New Chat
You then get a Pop up to offer any of the accounts you have set up and a place for the Buddy's name.
You can also Right/Control click a Buddy or Highlight a Buddy and go to the Buddies menu.
Audio Only Chats
Fo this the Show Audio Status option in the view Menu needs to be ticked and the Microphone Enabled item in the Video menu (Will read Audio if no Camera)
Then most of the options above will work.
The Buddy List direct approach is to click their Audio Icon rather than the whole Line.
VIdeo Chats
As above with Show Video Status nd Camera Enabled ticked in the two menus
Group chats/Chatrooms
Go to the File Menu > Go to Chat
Enter room name to either create a new room or enter an existing one.
Go to the VIew Menu > Show Participants.
Drag Buddies to the slide out Drawer.
Send text to Invite them

Does anyone know the code to activate the hidden battery for 6288 when it is low on battery? i tried *3370# to activate it but the word "Result Unknown" out. I searched online for it but all of the codes for activating the hidden battery gave me the Result Unknown notice when I dialled it.

i've Kontakt 3. When i launch K3 the interface doesn't appear.
But when i check f10 show all windows I can see the interface of K3 but I cant get in touch with it ( clicking on it doesn't make it active )
A suggestion from Native was that K3 expects a second monitor, I tryed to connect a second monitor but K3 doesn't appear at this monitor.
Any advise !?

MPEG Streamclip tp Produce Dolby Digial Audio

How do I get MPEG Streamclip to produce videos with Dolby Digital audio. I adjust the audio setting to AC3, but the file does not show up as Dolby on my receiver when I play it.

It says so right in the documentation. MPEG Streamclip can read AC3 (multichannel) but only writes two channels at a time. By default it converts audio to 2-channel stereo. It can pass through AC3 source to various file types but if you are converting to QuickTime then you need to get an AC3 codec. Open MPEG Streamclip, then do +Help > MPEG Streamclip Guide.+ Scroll down to +Audio Modes and Multichannel AC3.+
That section explains the handling of AC3 source. Default mode downmixes the channels (less the LFE channel) to 2-channel stereo. There is one mode (Surround) that can create a 2-channel Dolby ProLogic stereo track. "... Makes a Dolby Surround-compatible stereo sound. Using this special stereo sound, a Dolby Pro Logic amplifier with 6 speakers (5+1 subwoofer) may be able to reconstruct and play all the 6 channels of AC3. Use this mode only if your audio equipment has a Pro Logic decoder and can handle Dolby Surround." Note: the operative words are "may be able."
It would help if you provide details on what source material you are using, what you are converting it to and what you are attempting to play it back on. (Exact specs, makes/models, etc.)

The share to DVD settings in Final Cut Pro X use the Dolby Digital settings which are stereo for DVDs. So this can’t be done directly in Final Cut Pro X.

I think that the Advanced Audio V2 is the latest version and currently no updates yet.
on the Dolby website, Advanced Audio V2 is still the software supported.

Dolby Advanced Audio for Aspire V5-571G Windows 10

I'm using an Acer Aspire V5-571G laptop and I just today upgraded it to Windows 10. I need to download Dolby software (near the power putton, it says "Dolby Advanced Audio | Virtual SurroundSound", so I'm thinking I have get Dolby Advanced Audio). I'm having trouble finding a good place to download it from, though, so could somebody help me? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I Had the Same problem on my V5-571GThe only driver that ever worked properly with Dolby was the driver for The V5-552G on windows 8 (not 8.1) This will work on your computer even if different model... the new driver on the Acer site for winodws 10 has not work either. So the one I´m using is: Audio_Realtek_6.0.1.6878_W8x64_A To Download the Driver and Software needed Go to: http://www.acer.co.in/ac/en/IN/content/drivers and Go: Ultra-Thin / Aspire / V5-552G To get dolby to work: 1. Uninstall the current driver, and any software related to it (the dolby software) 2. restart 3. Install the driver for windows 8 (in my case it installed dolby automatically but I´ll explain how to install it manually below) 4. Restart twice (yes, I always had to restart twice after the install otherwise manually installing dolby would not work and I got an error when trying to run the install) 5. In the driver folders you downloaded and unzipped go to the folder "PCEE4" and run "DolbyAdvancedAudio.msi" 6.If you dont get the "Install PCEE" error, restart and you should be able to enjoy dolby (when its not acting up). If you get the error then you may have not followed the instructions properly. Go back to step 1 Good luck
