How do I activate Windows 10 Enterprise edition?

Hi,
Generally speaking, it will be activated automatically if you get internet connected after install Windows 10 Tech preview for Enterprise.
If you still fail to activate Windows 10 tech preview after performing the steps from last poster, please try following suggestions and post back any error you encountered.
Make sure the key is right for the preview version.

As I known, once you installed the Tech Preview version with network connection, it will be automatically activated.
Regarding current information, I recommend you follow these steps to troubleshoot your issue:
Suggestion: Rebuild the Tokens.dat file when you troubleshoot Windows activation issues
Please run the commands below as admin one by on:
net stop sppsvc
cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WSLicense
ren tokens.dat tokens.bar
net start sppsvc
cscript.exe %windir%\system32\slmgr.vbs /rilc
After that, try to activate Windows again by performing the steps from last poster.

There should be NO problem as much as I know if the basic limitation fit you (as shanky mentioned).

I’m a naïve user in Oracle and would like to know the following details from the Gurus.
Any information in this regard will be highly appreciated !
We are trying to use Oracle8 Enterprise Edition for Windows 8.0.6 for some specific reason.
Some general doubts regarding the installation.
1.     Is any installation specific to the OS language (English/Japanese) ?
2.     Say, if I get an installation for Windows, would I be able to use the same for a Japanese Windows version?
3.     During the installation, choose the default language as Japanese?
Also, if we would need to install Oracle8 Enterprise Edition for Windows 8.0.6 in a Japanese OS, what should we do?

The best way to arrange this is to contact Oracle sales and talk very nice to them.
You are asking to have someone provide you with a piece of software that was very full of bugs and made obsolete before year 2000. Oracle will probably not be very happy to do that.
Besides, Oracle is so upward compatible that - unless you depend on the bugs - you should be able to use any currently supported version. Such as Oracle9i or Oracle10g.

Can anyone tell me where can I get 9i Enterprise Edition for Windows 2000?
I only see the Sun's Solaris version.
Can you run 9i AS in 8i 8.1.7?

I am installing Oracle 816 on Win 2K Server. Its installing everything except I am getting error while in the
process of creating Instance and Initializing it.

Oracle Database Configuration Assistant Alert
"ORA-12638: Credential retrieval failed"
while in the process of copying database files and initializing database. And the process is halting
at this point with showing 85% completion. Do you think any conflict between OS files between Win 4.0
and Win 2K?
What do I have to do to resolve this.
I tried to Install on 3 machines and I get this problem on all machines. But, when I Upgrade to Win 2K from NT 4.0 and doing the Oracle 816 Installation, I am succesfull.
This is happening only on fresh Install of Win 2K.

Installing Sql Server 2012 Enterprise edition on Windows 7

Hello,
I have a desktop with 1 TB Hard Disk and 8GB RAM. It has Windows 7 installed. I want this to be used as staging server at my work. I installed the SQL Server 2012 Enterprise edition. While installing I used service accounts as default when prompted
which I normally do while installing on a desktop. But now I want this to be used as a server where people can access this box as they do on a sql server machine .i.e. connect to server using SSMS and get to databases on the server and also remote
desktop into this machine. So, Is it fine to install with default service accounts?
Also how can I connect to this newly installed sql server box from another desktop using SSMS?

Installation of SQL server 2012 Enterprise edition on Client machine(Win 7) is not supported( you can install ) .See below for Hardware and Software requirements for SQL Server 2012.You cannot claim support from Microsoft and I guess statging
is also important.

Makes sure Browser service is running
Make sure you make exception in firewall for SQL Server services and incoming connections
Make sure you specify correct instance name when connecting from remote

Can I install Oracle 8.1.7 Enterprise Edition on Windows 2000 Professional

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I have Windows 2000 professional edition loaded on my PC and I'm not sure what it allows. Can I load Oracle 8.1.7 Enterprise Edition of the database on this operating system, or do I need to load windows 2000 server software.

Its a problem with oracle and pentium 4 processors actually. The solution involves renaming or deleting the symcjit.dll in the 8i installation package after you've copied the whole Cd onto your HDD!
I've tried this and it install OK, with a few errors along the way, now I can't get the apache server working, nor on the 9i AS that I've installed as well. Let me know if you get anything useful please?

I am trying to activate ECM . I am on ECC5.0 on support pack
SAP_HR 500 0028 SAPKE50028 Human Resources HR Support Package
I activated table T77S0 and the entry HRECM ECMO abd put the value X . But i still not see the ECm activated in IMG.
What extra needs to be done.

Did you activate ECM in IMG? ie Activate Enterprise Compensation Management under the section Global Settings of the IMG ( SPRO) .

Satellite L300D-13H - How to activate FN functions on Windows 7?

Hi all,
due to corporate issues, I had to install Windows 7 64bit on a Satellite L300D-13H machine.
Everything is fine except for one thing: How do I activate the FN keys for dimming the LCD or to turn down the volume? I do not find any piece of software for that.

Yes, I do have the value added package installed. I have been trying to uninstall it via "programs and features" tp get a "clean" notebook, but the software is stuck.
I get the installshield wizard-popup and the machine seems to load and work, but after ten seconds it's always saying "The wizard was interrupted before the installation could be completed" (well, I have a German popup, so I just translated it).
That's it. No uninstallation possible...and unhappily no FN function. It cannot be a hardware issue as the keys worked fine some days ago when Vista was installed.
However, this is quite strange. Why shouldn't it uninstall the package?

I've been trying fresh installation of SQL Server 2008 R2 enterprise on Windows Server 2012 R2 standard VM server several times for two weeks, but always get the error "Attempted to perform an unauthorized operation". At first, I attempted
to install all features, but failed several times. So I decided to try install just Database Engine service, and still fail at the SqlBrowserConfigAction_Install_ConfigNonRC_Cpu32, with the error "Attempted to perform an unauthorized operation".
I remote login to server with my admin domain account. This account is in server local Administrators group. I
1. Right-click on setup.exe file | properties | Compatibility tab | select compatibility to Windows 8.Then click OK.
2. Right-click on setup.exe file | Run as Administrator, to start the Installation Center.
I have the document of my installation steps and zip file of the installation logs, if you need to take a look.
Appreciate for any help!

"Attempted to perform an unauthorized operation"
The above error is always related to the Windows account SID mapping. I recommend you login into Windows using another Windows account which has administrative privileges and run SQL Server setup using that Windows account.
Besides, please note that we need to apply SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 2 or a later update when installing SQL Server Windows Server 2012 R2. For more information, please review this

I am trying to install SP2013 in my LAPTOP 8.1 and i am getting error while running the Pre request. The error is
The tool was unable to install Application Server Role web server IIS Role.

SP2013 installation is not supported on a client version of windows OS. So you cannot directly install SP2013 on your windows 8.1.
Since hyper-v is now an integral part of windows 8.1, you should use hyper-v to create a VM environment. Then you should install windows server 2012 or windows server 2008 R2 SP1 as a minimum, as guest OS. Once the guest VM is running with windows server
OS, you can then proceed to install SP2013 inside it.
