we would like to activate and inactive a dataslice automatically for example by means of a process chain. Does anyone has experience with this ...
Reason is that we have a forecast version with actuals and plan combined (very different structure between plan and actual data) and we want to load actuals + initial budget in a forecast version, which is changed in IP afterwards. The unit rate calculation is difficult to be performed in the load mechanisme, but easy to calculate with FOX. Therefore after loading, we want to execute a planning sequence for which the dataslice needs to be temporary inactivated ...

Hi,
In the table UPC_DATASLICE, if the the value of the field INACTIVE is 'X' for the planning area and the data slice you are working on, it means that that particular data slice is inactive.
So create an exit FM to make the INACTIVE field value as 'X' for the dataslice and the planning area you want.
Call this exit FM in the process chain.
After ur processing is done, run another exit of same kind which reverts back these changes, which will activate the data slice again.

Can't be done. You need an internet connection to activate an iPod after restoring.

Hi Federico,
When you tranport Process Chains, initially chains will be available under "Not Asigned" node in RSPC Transaction. The transported chains wont be get highlighted automatically. Manually need to open the chain in update mode and activate it on Quality.

Go To RSPC1 give your process chain name (Go to LOG View ) there you will get Date selectin screen (give This Month and last Month or as per your reqirement) there you can see who ran the process chain with ID.

I think its getting pretty complex....instead of writing programs..use simle metachain thing which will solve your issue with simple process chain design.
You have :
Main Chain
{Dso load
Local Chain A(Eu) Local Chain B(Na)
Now what you want is on the first run the main chain should trigger and only Local Chain A trigger.
While on second run
Main chain + Local chain B trigger.
the simplest soultion
Create 2 Metachains like below:
PC1.
Main Chain X
{Dso Load
Local Chain A(Eu)
PC2.
Main chain Y
{Dso Load
Local Chain B(Na)
Now create metachain to combine
Main Chain
{PC1
PC2
So PC2 will start only when the PC1 has finished.
Let me know if it is feasible for you.

Dear Suman,
To initiate the mails we first need to have SMTP connection. To check the same go to so00 and try sending mails to ur ID. If is successful it states that u have the SMTP access.
To create mails to Process chains:
Right Click on the Process varient select the Create Message in the context menu.
Select the type of mail i.e for successful, Error, Anyways.
Then follow the screens.
Note: The recipient type should be Via Internet.

I guess there is no direct way, but you can get it by following:
1) From table RSREQDONE, you can get infopak name by giving a request no.
2) Then from table RSPCCHAIN, For Type = 'LOADING', VARIANTE field give the Infopackage name and it will give u the PC.

How to Activate Datastore loaded with Transformation.

Hi Gurus!
When I used update rules and infopackages to load an ODS (with activate data flagged) loaded records were automatically activated.
Now I'm starting to use transformations and when I load data to Datastores I have to manually activate loaded data.
Is there any way to activate automatically loaded data??
I found how to do it for cubes but not for Datastore objects...

How to activate a JButton with right-click?

If I create a JButton and add an ActionListener, I can activate the button with a mouse left-click but not with a mouse right-click.
I've looked at other posts related to this topic. Some people have said that the default is that either a left- or right-click will activate a JButton but I can't get this to happen.
If I add a MouseListener to the button, I get mouse events for both left and right clicks (in mousePressed() for instance) but only the left-click goes on to activate the JButton.
I'm using Java 1.4 with Windows 2000.

I use Windows 98, that's what I get too. I'm pretty sure that's normal behavior. If you want right clicks to be processed as well, use this code:

I am going to work on the automation of a miniature punch press using compressed air and also a pneumatic valve, I was wondering how I would be able to activate this mechanism with a switch?
Also, what would be the best method to activate this set up ?

Can you provide more information about the valve itself? For example, is it expecting an analog signal or a digital signal? If this is an analog setup, the valve would probably expect a DC value that represents a certain pressure. You would need a variable voltage source (a DAQ card for example) to provide the appropriate signal to the valve. A switch would most likely not be necessary. If the valve is expecting a digital signal, then you will need a DC power supply set to the digital high voltage (5V for example) and then use the switch to regulate the state of signal.

Please use the option Delete of overlapp requests process type
Take the following conditions as :
1) Only delete request from same DTP
3) Only Full DTP
3) Only Delete DTP requests from same souce
Selections are
Overlapping
Request date
Is in the current month
based on the month
