How to active datasource

Hi expert:
After I replicate datasource in BW server, I find the status of datasource is 'modified' not 'active'. Is it supposed to be 'active' ? How to active this?

select source system-- Right click
Go to DATA SOURCE OVERVIEW
FInd ur respective Datasource
assign Infosource and then Activate ..
Assign points if it helpss

First check whether u have activated the data source in the transaction RSA6. Also, check whether the data source which you activated is listed in transaction RSA5.

Package Name while activating Datasource in RSA5

Hi there, I want to know what Package Name or what to choose or how to create a package to transfer datasource from r3 to BW while activating Datasource in RSA5 for finance 0fi_gl_4 it ask for package name what to choose there. is that something basis team need to create to connect r3 to bw or I can create it as BI team

Hi:
Package name is not to connect to BW. That is used for Transporting your daa sources from R/3 DEV --> R/3 QAS.
To move Data Sources to BW, you call it Replication. Once you Activate Data Sources in R/3, go to BW, RSA1, Source Systems, select R/3 Source System, Replicate Data Sources. This will bring them to BW.
You have to do the same in BW QAS AFTER you transport R/3 Data SOurces from R/3 DEV --> R/3 QAS.
Coming to Packages in R/3, its just a grouping to move transports within R/3 System. Because the data sources are BW related, we usually have a package called ZBW. This is just a name, doesn't mean it moved them to BW.

When I use TCODE RSA5 to active datasource in R3,in the end I got this error:
DataSource 0WBS_ELEMT_USR_ATTR; switch to package PS_IS_EHP3_SFWS_SC is off
Message no. R8371
my R3 and BW are the same client.
I don't know how to correct it. PLZ help me, thank you very much.

How to use DataSource and External transaction in 9ias?

I'm working on a project that the application server needs to connect to over 100 databases.
I'd like to use connection pooling and external transaction service defined in OC4J's Datasources.
I wonder if anyone has an example of using datasource and external transaction service for OC4J.
Right now, I export toplink project to a java source and do the initialization there manually but I don't know how to use Datasource to get connections and how to use the external transaction service in the java code for OC4J.
I really appreciate you help.

If not, it'd be a very cool addition for Adobe to implement... so you know exactly how many hours a project is taking (and how much to charge clients etc.) Obviously we're all prone to leaving Premiere on and wandering away, so I guess it would need to be able to differentiate between active and non-active time...

There are two things a client get's billed for, my time, and my computer's time. If either one of us are working on a project, the client get's billed. Even if Adobe spent (wasted?) time on adding such a feature, they'd never be able to include any time I've spent working on the project with PP closed, so this feature would have very, very, VERY limited usefulness.
The method suggested by the images is still the best way.

BI 7.0: How to bring DataSource fields to InfoSource in design

We've replicated the generic datasource from R3 to BW and we have created an InfoSource with blank fields. We remember on BW 3.x version that we could bring Datasource fields to InfoSource by clicking somewhere, but on BI 7.0, we are trying to do the same thing, but can't find some function to do this. Then we try to right click the InfoSource and then select 'Create Transformation', and then to select the source system and the datasource, but of course we would get the error msg like "There are no fields in target TRCS InfoSource_Technical_Name". Any idea on how to bring Datasource fields into the blank InfoSource on BI 7.0?

Instead of bringing the DS fields into a blank infosource, ideally, what you can do
is, you can create a new infosource based on your generic data source, which would make your process easy..

Try Activating the Datasource using the programme RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL --> Source system: give your source
system name, Infosource gen: give your datasource name-->Check the only inactive check box and execute
If you already done.. check the source system connection and check the naming convetion of Z or Y fields and also check in
transfer structure..

If the phone is locked to a carrier then you will need the carrier to unlock it And only the carrier can do that.

Counting how many active sessions in a webapp

Hi folks,
I was wondering if it is possible to count how many active sessions that there currently are in a webapp? I've looked at the ServletContext and ServletConfig classes, but I can't find anything. Any ideas?

HttpSessionListener was introduced in servlet spec 2.3 which is supported in Tomcat 4.0 but not 3.3.
If upgrading to 4.0 is not an option, there is no elegant way to get what you need. There is no API call that returns all the active sessions so you must do it yourself. One way is to create a class that implements HttpSessionBindingListener to track your sessions. Instantiate it on start-up and add its reference as a session attribute when the session is first created. You can then update your custom session info in the valueBound and valueUnbound methods.

If you want to change template based on parameter. you have to use below syntax
v_layout boolean

Above can be used in plsql stored procedure before submitting Concurrent Program (Bi Publisher report) or may be you can try to add this code in Oracle reports after report or before report trigger

in R/3 Tcode CMOD and create, if does not already exist a project, for example ZBW1 (is simply a definition). Then enter in Components of the project selecting the corresponding flag and then select EXIT_SAPLRSAP_002 Exit Function.
Then double click on the word ZXRSAU... at the right of word INCLUDE.
In the next screen you introduce your code.
