How to active server
Hi All,
I have some issue with active sync. the activesync is not starting. i observed one thing, in severs tab. the server is inactive. how do i active the server. could you please give me some solution, as soon as possible.

i moved the activesync file to another server. now the activesync is running. but, other server is still inactive. any idea what am i missing here.

Try reseting your device.
Hold the power button and the home button down until the device shuts off, then power it back on and see if the problem is resolved.

i live in iran. this 3gs was a gift from america .. it contains NOTHING. i can do nothing with it. it cannot be updated cuz the version is low. i dunno what t do please help.Possible causes:
1. Your antivirus is blocking access to gs.apple.com.
2. Your phone is jailbroken.
3. Your computer has been used at some time in the past to jaibreak some iOS device (not necessarily the phone with the problem), and its network database was corrupted by the hacking software that was used.
4. Apple's activation servers are down (very rare, and never for more than an hour or so).
5. The phone was reported stolen. If it was it can never be activated again.
For 1. try disabling your antivirus.
For 2. & 3. you need to go somewhere other than an apple forum for help. Although you can try deleting lines containing gs.apple.com from your "hosts" file on your computer. -
I cannot reactivate my e-reader with my existing Adobe ID and password which are both correct. I alwayss get the message "activation server error, Code: E_AUTH_NOT_READY" What kind of problem is this and what is most important, how can I solve it quickly. I am on holiday and want to read. When trying to activate my iPad 3, I consistently get a message that the activation server is unavailable, Please Try Again. Does anyone know how to help me?

The above artical started to help.. but eventually I did the following:
1) put device into DFU mode

2) when connecting ipad to itunes, itunes was aware of DFU mode. Just selected the update and itunes downloaded the correct new OS (iOS 7.0.2) and did it's thing.
Note: there was no need to download an older version of iOS. In fact, I was always rejected when attempting a downloaded ipsw. iTunes always said, "This device isn't eligible for the requested build".
Device Info: iPad 3 wifi. Software was iOS beta 7 (7 release 5 I think). -
So i restarted my iPod and it is telling me that the activation server could not be reached. And I don't know how to fix it. Please help!!

Try:
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem

Make sure the wifi you're connecting to has a strong connection. Also, it has to be set up with basic security, meaning you can't activate your phone using wifi that needs you to access Safari to sign in.
You can also always use iTunes on your computer (with a strong Internet connection) to do this as well. -

99.9% of the time, the cause of this issue is the fact the phone was jailbroken/hacked to unlock it for use on networks other than the network the phone was originally locked to. Apple maintains a database of officially unlocked iPhones, and when Apple's servers detect phones such as yours, activation stops & you get the message you got.
So, either get a sim card from the carrier your phone was originally locked to, or get it officially unlocked, because it appears that it was not officially unlocked. -

I've tried connecting it to itunes it still doesnt see, to work.

How can i activate my iphone if it says activation server is unavailable
All of a sudden i try to use my phone and it asked me to activate my iphone, now everytime i try to en enter my apple ID and password it says "activation server is temporarily unavailable" . So then i connect my iphone to itunes and a message pops up saying that my iphone software has been expired and it needs to be updated yet when i try to update it it says its up to date. I also try restoring my iphone but it wont let me because find my iphone needs to be turned off when i never had it on in the first place ! someone helpp me please
