How to add a 2nd Library to photo?

In iphoto I used to have two libraries and used to select which one I wanted to look at at startup of the app.
1) Does photo have the ability to have multiple libraries
2) How do i import my 2nd iPhoto library once the initial setup is done into a 2nd photo library?
3) If I try to import a 2nd library and ADD it to the first then will it give me the option to skip duplicates

2 This was answered in another thread: click on Photos while holding alt key, a dialogue box with a choice of libraries to convert will appear.
You can test this by creating a new iPhoto library and converting it.

What sort of videos are they, and what app do you want to sync them to ? If they were taken with your camera and they are in a format supported by the iPad, then you could sync them to the Photos app - with the iPad connected and selected on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, you can use the Photos tab on the right-hand side of iTunes to sync photos and videos (there is an 'include videos' tickbox on that tab) to the Photos app.

Update: I have the 2nd HDD (WD 1TB) installed, Windows now recognises it after completing the steps I mentioned in step 4, Format with default allocation NTFS 931.51GB free, 118MB used for formatting. Format with default allocation exFAT 931.51GB free, 1MB used for formatting. I selected NTFS format to reduce file fragmenting.

When i added my 2nd HDD I was ready to get it ordered and shipped, so it would arrive before I arrived home. I also was not sure if it would be offered anywhere else and be 100% compatible. The quality of the factory HP part is good. Since then I found a cheeper source. Newmodeus DV7-3xxx Hard Drive Caddy $27.95 +tax +shipping. Not sure if the quality is the same. I believe you simply create a new folder inside the folder that you have set for iTunes to sync from. I haven't synced from my PC since last summer so I could be wrong.

Well, there are a few ways. I'll tell ya two. First is iCloud. If you don't already, you can create an Apple ID and set up iCloud. To set up iCloud on PC, visit this site. Everything should sync after that.
You can also use iTunes to sync up everything. First, put the photos that you wanna put on your iPod on to iPhoto. Put the videos you wanna put on iTunes. Like, drag the video into the "Videos" tab on iTunes. Then, go to the the iPod in "Devices" connected to iTunes. Once you select the phots and videos, press Apply/Sync.
You're done.

How to add VI to library again?

I am currently using labview 8.2. Everything was working fine just before I uploaded a backup program for WindowsXP. I now get an error in NI_AALBase.lvlib:Vector x A..vi and complex vector x A.vi. how can I retreive the library. The error says "This VI is connected with a library that does not include the VI. The VI might have been deleted from the library. Add the VI to the library again or select File»Disconnect from Library."
I tried reloading Labview 8.2 and still get the same error.

what are the locations of the 'Vector x A.vi' and 'complex vector x A.vi'? If they are not in the vi.lib (or one of it's subfolders) they are moved (as a backup procedure or something).
In that case do not connect them to the 'NI_AALBase.lvlib' in the vi.lib folder, just disconnect them inside the VI
In the other case, the 'NI_AALBase.lvlib' has changed. This is very strange, what you should do is a repair of LV because maybe other things have changed!

How to add a copyright to a photo in Aperture?

I just downloaded the trial version of Aperture 2, to get a feel for it. I do a lot of photography, and need a simple way to add a copyright mark on the photo itself, i.e., my name, the year, and the copyright symbol.
Under metadata, I typed in "©2008 My name here" in the "Copyright notice" box. However, it did not appear on the photo. How exactly do I do this? I have several photos I need to print and send off in a couple of days, so a quick response would be greatly appreciated.

I was wondering the same thing myself after buying aperture. I still haven't figured out a way to do it... I think adding a copyright just attaches it electronically in the metadata. I know Adobe Light room 2 has a text adding feature. Try downloading that trial. And if anyone knows a good way to do it in aperture 2 please let us know!

How to add IPTC data to multiple photos w/o overwriting other data?

I need to see if there's a way to add IPTC data to one or more fields to mulitple photos without disturbing the other fields' data that's already there. For example, I've keyworded & captioned my images, but now would like to add the City or the Country to all the shots, or a group of shots.
Conventional Lift & Stamp will override the keyword & caption field info on the stamped images, which I don't want. How to I lift & stamp other select fields? I sure don't want to have to type in the city or country on hundreds/thousands of images!

there's no way to de-select the sub-categories of
Caption & Kepyword, leaving just State (or other
fields which don't seem to be even present). One can
de-select the major categories of Keywords, Caption,
IPTC, etc. but not the subcategories. This is the
problem I'm running into -- no way to just add
additional data in select fields.

Indeed! Aperture does not make this at all obvious, but with any line highlighted in the Lift & Stamp HUD just hit the "delete" key and that line is gone. If you delete a category (line with a checkbox) the whole category goes, if you expand a category you can delete individual lines, whatever you like. Also very handy for adjustment stamping when you don't want to stamp a clone job, just white balance.
It remembers what you have removed until you do another Lift.

Interactive graphs in Edge Animate - how to add the jqPlot library

I'd like to add interactive graphs in my Edge project, but can't use SVG. I'm now trying to implement the jqPlot library, but can't get it to work. Here is what I have so far:
In "creationComplete" in "Stage" I've added this:

Thank you, Raffalaff. From what I can tell it looks like jqPlot has a few more charts to choose among than Flot, otherwise from that they look very similar.
To get jqPlot working I did this:

I have an iPhoto library onto an external disk. After the update Photos created a new library in the local pictures folder. How can I get the photos from iPhoto's into the new photos library and than move the new library on a external disk?

You don't. You just open the Library on the External
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch Photos.. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'
Moving Libraries is exactly the same as iPhoto:
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
1. Quit Photos
2. Copy the Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching Photos. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.
