How to add a button with Javascript to Library

Hi
I am using Captivate 5.5 to create a template.
In the files which will be created using this template, we will be adding a button which executes a Javascript. Now, my question is, since this button will be used on multiple slides in the file, can I add this button (with the Javascript) to the library? Currently, we create it manually everytime.
We don't have a programmer in our team, so we can't create widget. Is there an alternative way?

Thanks for that reply.
I now have a blank slide with the button (including the javascript) on it which solves the problem of importing it manually.
However, when we use this template to import PowerPoint presentations, when we publish the file, the first slide (the one on which I have this button) will be blank and has to be manually deleted.
Is there a way to eliminate this manual work? I tried hiding and using some actions. But it was not of any use.

I'm pretty new in the world fo APEX , after reading a lot of tutorials , i'm trying to build my own application ,but now i'm stuck because of my lack of knowledge :)
So here is the problem ,
I have a line with a select list ( designed to select a task )+ 5 text fields ( designed to write how many hours the worker worked each day for the task )
And then , a button " Add Task " , so with this button i want to create a copy of the first line so the worker can add an other task , but actually i have no idee how to do this .. I don't know if i was clear or not ? ,

Once your tabular form is created,
go to Report Attributes and click the edit icon(pencil image) next to the column you want to be a select list,
go to column attributes and click the Display As select list, and you'd probably choose Select List Static or Named
The Add Task button would be the standard 'Add Row' button that gets created from creation of the tabular form.
What do the rows that you want to create relate to? It seems that the first row has a Task coming from the select list and the 5 entry columns as hours each working day of week and one week = one row ?
If you need to create additional blank rows, I would look at using an Apex Collection, created in a before header process, where you can add as many rows as desired, then query the collection for the tabular form, and maybe have a custom post submit process to update the collection data to your table. If you're only adding rows to the table, you don't really need the checksum functionality that is a desirable part of the Apex Tabular Form/MRU process. Thinking out loud here.

How to associate a button with the selection/unselection of a JTable?

hi,
how to associate a button with JTable in this manna? i want to disable a button once there is no selection in the JTable, and enable the button when there is a selection. to associate the selection it is easy: just make an eventAction for the button on the click in the JTable and check whether there is a selection. but how to do this with the unselection? hope anyone can give me any hint. thanx!

Here is the sample code.If you are using reuse_alv_grid_display, no need to write code in PBO.
Just double click the 'TEST' which is written in code.Then create a GUI Status.In Application toolbar,type the name of the button you want(say BUTTON).Then double click that name.Then enter the ICON name and function text.Activate it.This itself will work.If you want all the functionalities,then try to do as Vinod told.

To create a pushbutton on the selection screen, you use:
SELECTION SCREEN PUSHBUTTON [/]<pos(len)> <push>
USER-COMMAND <ucom> [MODIF ID <key>].
The [/]<pos(len)> parameters and the MODIF IF addition have the same function as for the formatting options for underlines and comments.
<push> determines the pushbutton text. For <push>, you can specify a text symbol or a field name with a maximum length of eight characters. This character field must not be declared with the DATA statement, but is generated automatically with length <len>. The field must be filled before the selection screen is called.
For <ucom>, you must specify a code of up to four characters. When the user clicks the pushbutton on the selection screen, <ucom> is entered in the UCOMM of the SSCRFIELDS interface work area. You must use the TABLES statement to declare the SSCRFIELDS structure. The contents of the SSCRFIELDS-UCOMM field can be processed during the AT SELECTION-SCREENevent.

Everything works fine, But button looks different now
No appearance of button is there & button label is displayed in orange color.
Have i missed something or i will never like original.

I have done some changes suggested by ATD for another thread.
In your app, through Shared Components, Templates create a new button template based on a copy of an existing one (pick whichever existing template you prefer, the normal Button may be ok). When the new template is created, edit it. You should see something like the following in the "Template" setting:

There may be other HTML around this, but this is the important part as it is the actual button itself. Change this to:
a href="#" class="t12Button" #BUTTON_ATTRIBUTES#>#LABEL#</a
Now, on your button on the page, change it to use your new button template. In the Button Attributes setting, add in:
onclick="javascript:checkText();"
everything works fine except appearance of button.

How to add control buttons using Java thorugh serial port?

I have some questions on Java and serial port.
I want to write a Java program to control my robot, through serial port. For example, when I click "Forward", the robot will go forward, and so on.
Now I already have the buttons, so next I would like to ask how to interface the buttons with the serial port.

The plan is, I have a robot device connected to the serial port.We don't know anything about that device. We don't know how to control it. We don't know what you have to write to the device to make it do anything. Only you know what.
For example, when I click "Forward", the robot will go forward, and so on.So what do you have to send to make it do that? and same for the other buttons.
Next, you need to work out from the javax.comm API how to open the serial port and send data to it. This is a standard exercise in learning a new API. You must be able to do this. Again and again.
But the program is useless. The button can be clicked, but didn't do anything.Because (a) they have no ActionListeners and (b) there is no code to send anything to the serial port.
You have to write all that. So you also have to look up ActionListener in the Java API and how to attach it to a button. You can do that. We all do that kind of thing every day.
So next I would like to ask how to interface the buttons with the serial port.You've been asking nothing else since you started, but you've also only done enough investigation of your own to create the buttons. That's only the start.
The problem is what method and command should I use to make those buttons actually functioning.See above. You've been told part of it several times. The rest only you can answer, because it's your robot.

To send a purchase order we need to create that particular item in the master, but with out assigning chapter id system is not allowing to save without chapter id.

Refer the book of chapter ID or find out on internet you will get the chapter ID.
Still if you not able to get the chapter id then consult with excise advisory.
But you can add Excise PO until you have the excise details in Item master.

as far as I know it is not possible, since this adjustment is made for the whole column. I have created a grid and I open the shown document by double clicking the row header. In the grid I can see if it is sales or purchase and so I use a workaround by opening the specific system form (e.g. sales invoice) in find mode and search the document by document number (also shown in the grid).
Sample:
