How to add a customer field or extn coll in the tab1&2&3..of a UDO doc?

Hi Experts,
Does anybody know how to add a customer field or extn collection in the unused  tabs like tab1&2...in a UDO document?

It seems you have discovered that adding an extension field to the Project Suppliers collection is not possible; many of the collections in E-Sourcing do not support extensions and, even when they do, typically, the table view of the data cannot be changed to show the extension value (it would only show on a "details" page, for example.<br><br>
The solution that you have proposed may work, although I think there is a slight mistake in your logic. I believe you are saying that the script would take data from the newly created extension collection and populate data in the out-of-the-box vendor collection. <br><br>
In thinking about your solution, I believe the benefit is that any logic and reporting based on the standard collection continues to function correctly (e.g., creating an RFx from the Project will use the out-of-the-box vendor collection).<br><br>
That being said, I generally am reluctant to do a "replace" of a standard collection with an extension collection as you propose. My recommendation is that you challenge the customer on the importance of this requirement. For example, could the code be maintained on the vendor record? Why is it maintained in Projects? If it is maintained in the vendor record, could you just populate a read only collection the Projects that shows the vendor and code? Could a report be written that can be launched from within the Project to show the values? How does the customer intend to use this field? Could the display name of the vendor object be the right place for it?<br><br>

  • How do I change custom field description and name on the project fields PDP

    I'm creating a custom PDP for a workflow process and I need to add the folloiwng fields "Project Name" and "Description"
    When I try to create Project Name custom field under server settings I get the following message "The custom field name cannot match the name of any intrinsic fields."
    So I went to the PDP web part Project fields and I found a field named " Project Name". I added it to the Proejct Fields web part, but it displays as "Name".
    How can I change this field that's out of the box? I don't see "Project Name" and "Description" under server settings > Enterprise Custom Fields and Lookup Tables to modify them.

    Project Name & description fields are internal fields in project server which you cannot view in Enterprise custom fields in PWA. You will not be able to create with the similar name. There is no way to change these fields as far as I know. 
    I would suggest to have the new fields name something like  Project_Name/ ProjName or Project_Description/ProjDescription .

    Hi,
    I'm deploying Project Online and I want to group projects by a custom field on the "Projects" page. Currently I can see options for group by Project Name, Start, Finish, % complete etc. I would like to group by a custom field of programme name
    which is filled in on the Project Details form.
    I can create the enterprise field etc, however I can't work out how to make the new enterprise field appear in this list. Or am I barking up the wrong tree and should be creating separate Project Types for each programme?
    Any help an advise greatly appreciated.

    I created a custom field "REGION" in CUP configuration. I used this field in "Role Attributes"
    In "New Account" workflow, when i click on Select Roles/Groups" a screen for Select Roles/Groups will display to select the roles by different combinations.
    I need this "REGION" field in the above selection creria to select roles by REGION.
    How to make this field "REGION" appear in above selet cretiria.

  • How to add & fill custom fields in POWL Query

    Hi all,
    I have a requirement where I need to create a new POWL Query and should show the Defect data of each Issue ID. I looked for tutorials and threads about POWL queries but can't seem to find the information I needed.
    In details, I need a new query which should be available in NWBC -> Quality Issue Management -> Worklists. We already have one which is an overview of all Issues, but I need to create a new worklist which displays the Defect data of each Issue. (Please note, I am new to QIM and this is my first time handling QIM requirement.)
    May I ask if you can guide me or if you know some links where there are steps how can I extract the Defect data? I also looked at OSS Note 1865206, is the steps for "Additional result fields" all I need?

    Hi James,
    The above was cancelled, but now I need to look why the query is not automatically refreshing the data when I changed the worklist parameters. It doesn't also refreshes the data when I click "Refresh list" button below the table in NWBC QIM worklist view:
    But when I close the tab and reopen it, it now displays the updated list.
    I tried the refresh configs I found here, but still doesn't work.

    How can you add a custom field in designer? I have been tinkering but can't find it. If I place the cursor in a bottom row of the list, and in the ribbon I choose Options/Formula, I can enter an Xpath expression. But after clicking OK, nothing happens, nothing
    appears.
    Is there a tutorial (for beginners) somewhere on how to add a custom field to a page?

    I think the easiest way to accomplish this is through using the jQuery SPServices library to call the list items into an array and group by name. Then you can count the number they have done and then also do your calculations.

    In Webdynpro Component,  FITV_POWL_TRIPS ......i would like to add one more field in the output of this application under "All My Travel Requests" tabstrip .
    Access path for this application.
    Go to SE80 -> Webdynpro Component -> FITV_POWL_TRIPS ->  Test...
    Under the All My Travel Requests Tabstrip i want to add one more field in the below table control. Right this tab control is displaying 8 Columns.
    My Findings:
    1. The above fields are retrieved from PTRM_POWL_WEB_TRIPS_EXT_T structure. So i have added a Append field in the structure.
    2. In debugging i am able to see my field in the above mentioned structure.
    3. The Tab Strib is calling from POWL_UI_COMP application.
    4. The Table Control is from SALV_WD_TABLE
    Need:
    1.Where is the 8 fields layout are creating by the sytem
    2.How can i add one more field ?
    3.Where to add and how ??

    I'm trying add a custom field to source 2LIS_12_VCHDR. The fields are in LIKP table's append. That are
    zz fields. I can see the fields in MCLIKP structure, but I can't see these fields in LBWE transacction when I try update the structure MCLIKP. I don't know if this last is important because when I replicate of the source the fields, they are visible in BW.
    The problem is when I try activate the transfer structure. I Can add the fields from the data source to the transfer structure but If try activate the source the error is:
    "Error when creating transfer structure /BIC/CCBA2LIS_12_VCHDR in source system XXXX"
    I'm forgetting some step?
    somebody know other way for do it?

    May be the datasource is not active, do the following obviously in development
    goto LBWE and click on your datasource; system will ask you for a transport request number give it a name. now save the datasource.
    replicate and activate your t/r

    unfortunatelly it wont work. A WDA Application does not have access to the Floorplan Manager for XSS Applications. So until SAP develop an interface, you have to stick for such a task to WDJ.

    For instance, I created a custom field (say, custom_field_1) on a screen of standard SAP tx(say, ME21N) by using screen exit. And in order to populate the data into it (custom_field_1), will use the Function user exits of this Tx(ME23N).
    1) In next step, Where Where I have to add this field, apart from appending the same custom field in EKKO/EKPO table or any other related table; Extending the corresponding IDOC or creating a new Custom ÍDOC type? like What about BAPI?
    2) If I got a text file with the data (including the data for this custom_field_1 too) and I have been asked to load it into SAP, then, I decided to use BAPI (say, BAPI_PO_CREATE or CREATE1) to create the data, So, How to handle this custom field, I mean, In which BAPI structure I have to pass this custom_field_1 data? ( Iguess, for some BAPIs EXTENSIONIN structures are provided, sorry if am wrong!)
