How to add a film border in aperture 3

Hello,
I don't know if this is possible, but i want to add a photo film border/frame like - http://www.1stwebdesigner.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/free-film-frame.jpg
Does anyone if this is possible or know of any plugins?
Best regards...Jan

One way is to edit in an external editor such as Photoshop; I'm not sure if this type of frame is available with the OnOne Photoframe plugin

  • Novice:  How to add thin black border (frame?)

    I just plunged in and bought PSE 5 and am green as grass with using it.
    In another graphics program I could add a thin black line or add a thin black ROUGH border to the picture, as I like how these look when printed.
    If someone would point me in the right direction as to where to find this in PSE or how to accomplish this I would be most appreciative. Have searched in vain.
    Thanks
    Stan

    I did try the Artworks and Effect Palette, but all the frames and rough borders were quite large...
    I will try your second suggestion....as have not "been" there yet!
    Thanks for the rapid response....

    If any one is familiar with Paint Sho Pro, what I am looking for primarily is their script called "sloppy edges".

  • How to add uploaded photos (not from aperture) in Mobileme Gallery to a project

    I shared some photos using a mobileme gallery where I allowed friends to upload their photos to the gallery.  Now the gallery exists with both the photos from my aperture library (and project) and my friends photos (which appear in aperture with a little symbol).
    I would like to have the photos that were uploaded by my friends to be added to a new project without moving or erasing them in the mobileme gallery.  Is there a simple way to do this? I know if I select photos from a project and drag and drop them to another project aperture moves the photos but I don't know if this is how aperture handles mobileme galleries in the inspector.
    Jeff

    Just drag an image from the MobileMe Gallery to a project it will copy the image, not move it. Aperture will move images that are stored locally in the library but since these images uploaded by friends are only stored on the MobileMe servers, Aperture will make a copy when you drag them to a project.

  • This is how to add extra Exif data to Aperture :-)

    Folks
    Often I need additional Exif data in Aperture - which is not available in the standard install.
    For example - exactly which lens did I use - not just a focal lenght - which might be any one of various lenses I have.
    Or - which focus point was used?
    The list is endless...

    A neat combination of an AppleScript and ExifTool
    Go for it
    Brian

    Hi,
    I'm the "author", if you can call it that, since most of the script is, as someone earlier mentioned, Brett Gross' work. I was the one that glued exiftool to it and got it working with my Aperture setup. I am looking at the various problems that have popped up on dpreview and with personal correspondence and trying to find solutions.
    But it isn't easy. As Charles said, the Aperture dictionary isn't helpful in that regard. And with the flexibility that Aperture provides in naming is the curse here. And all the variables with versions, external edits, etc. It gets very complicated. But if you look at the thread on dpreview, someone has possibly found a way to query the SQL database to make it all work smoothly.
    It is very easy to do this stuff at import. I am just putting the finishing touches on an Automator action to import the files and add the EXIF data (it will even query GeoNames and add the city, state & country IPTC data if there is GPS data present in the file).

  • How do I add an overall border to my document?

    Hello.
    Just wondering how to solve this one that has perplexed me for awhile.  I know that there's a solution, but cannot seem to locate it when I need to.
    Here's my question as I put it to the Pages Help Feedback people:
    I have a document I have created in Pages.  It is all done, and includes text boxes full of text, and several inserted several pieces of artwork, imported pdf's.  I could not figure out how to add a border around all of the document, so I went to Pages help, where I punched in "Adding Borders", and up came the title "To add borders and rules to your document".  This looks straightforward enough, I thought.
    Not so fast.  Here are the first two instructions: "1. Select the text to which you want to add borders and rules." I selected all the various text boxes.  "2. Click Inspector in the toolbar, click the Text button, and then click More." Did that too.  When I chose a border, it placed a border around only one of the text boxes.  Now I am stymied.  I want to put a border around the whole document, but there are no other solutions here, even after I have read for clues on the entire help page.
    I will not get a response from them, so I am turning to you.  I do have some idea that it might have to do with a document vs a poster, and I believe I set up my project to be a poster, if that can be useful here.
    Thank you in advance for any help.
    Cea

    It says "Select the text to which you want to add borders and rules." That is the text in the text layer in a word processing document, not text boxes.
    Do you have a word processing document or a page layout one. Tells you to the right of the document name.
    You could use a shape object with a Border but without Fill. It shouldn't have any wrap and then Send objects to  background after you have resized it and duplicated if you need it for the next page.

    Just curious: Why whould you want to add navigation Rules at run time. I believe the navigation rules should be set to begin with - "by s/w Architect Design".
    Else you can always use Redirect / Forward.

    Here's a little video from Adobe TV that shows you how to create borders in Photoshop Elements. If you don't have Photoshop Elements, skip the first 1:25 of the video, the rest of the steps apply to Photoshop as well:

  • How to add a Border

    Hi!
    I want to know how to add a border to a particular column (Vertical) in the report. I have no clue, please help me.
    Thank you very much.
    null

    A partial solution:
    -- Select a border color, as suggested.
    -- Pull down Format/Border, and deselect
    the "top" and "bottom" buttons.
    This will get you vertical lines around all
    cells with data, but not cells with null
    values. Also (it's been a while since I
    looked at this in detail) this works nicely
    from the live previewer but doesn't work in
    all output formats - not HTML for instance,
    if I recall correctly. Depends on which
    type of output you need.
    If you have a lot of null cells, i.e. with
    no border, the lines is your best option.
    Done neatly it looks about the same.

    Border's are a Swing feature, you will have to draw one by yourself (extend Panel and override paint()).

  • How to Add Stroke (Border)?

    I imported a bunch of bmps to the timelime. I'd like to add a white border to some of them. In Photoshop, this is called a "Stroke" and it's a simple layer style. In Premiere Pro CS3, I can't even figure out how to do it.

    The clip effect was indeed handy.
    Heres a filter that will do what you want:
    1. Size your photo however you like with motion/scale settings
    2. Drop the Radial Shadow filter on the clip (perspective folder)
    3. Set the filter thusly:
    Shadow color as desired
    Opacity 100%
    Projection Dim: start with 7; adjust to make border width as desired
    Softness: start with 0 or adjust as desired
    Render: as desired
    Shadow only unchecked
    Resize Layer: CHECKED
    That will provide a border color of your choice and width and it will adjust as you scale or move the image.
    Tip: Set it how you want, then paste the same filter into the same clip again and change the 2nd one to a contrasting color. Now you will have a matted photo look. Add a subtle soft drop shadow to sell it a bit more (put the drop shadow after both radial filters).

    This forum is actually about the Cloud, not about using individual programs
    Once your program downloads and installs with no errors, you need the program forum

    Here is the URL - http://www.the-electronic-cigarette.net

    Your header is defined as an id in style.css
    So, in your CSS:
    #branding {
              background: #ffffff url(images/sky.png) top left repeat-x;
              margin-bottom: -20px;
    Change to:
    #branding {
              border-color: fff;
      border-width: 3px;
              margin-bottom: -20px;
    That will create a 3 pixel border around the div.

  • How to eliminate a gradient drop shadow from a film border file

    I have a Hasselblad-style square film border file that I got in an after-market PS action.  It looks pretty convincing, except that it has a gradient extending a little ways into the frame that makes it look like a frame sitting above the image with a drop shadow.  There are two layers in the file, so I think there may be a wat to get rid of the unwanted gradient.  But I can't seem to figure out what it might be.
    I sure with I could post the file here, but whatever I try to do to make files permissable to post on this forum never seems to work.  The original PSD is only 2.6 MB.  I tried sizing it down to 450p x 450p to no avail.  The error message said "this type of content is not allowed."  It is only an empty black film border.
    Anyway, if someone is willing to look at the file offline, please let me know.  I am not a graphics person, just a photographer.  I would love to get rid of the gradient on this file.  Thanks in advance.
    Alternatively, if anyone knows a source for clean, realistic black film borders in digital file format, please let me know.

    Maybe just posting a screenshot showing the border and layers panel will suffice.
    Use the png or jpeg format for the screenshot.
