How to add an icon in to web template of web application designer 3.x

As you suggested i have added the image to MIME Repository successfully.
Now i have to add the new icon to exsisting template.
Stefan my problem here is
I have to add new icon but i donot need to change the icon.
you are giving the procedure how to change the exsisting icon but my problem is i have add new icon with out replacing any one exsisting in the template.

How to create a date range in Web Application Designer

I am using 3.1 version of Web App Designer. I need to create a report with date ranges. I can get one date to work but not two (I need a start date and end Date). My Query has 0CALMONTH with a variable for Interval. When I select it as a dropdown (??) in Web App Designer, I only get one date prompt in web app designer.

There is no functionlaity to add new columns.
For adding new combinations to the transaction data, the input ready new rows are used. Why do you need new columns?

hi experts,
i am bw learner and want to know few things
1) how do we publish report developed in web application designer so that we can access it on internet. Is there any webserver offered by sap.
2) how that report will be authenticated in browser, do we have to create a login page for users or is there any built in one.
3) Does web application designer comes with Sap GUI (like bex analyzer) or do we have to install separate programme.

I would suggest that you search the forums first ...
1) how do we publish report developed in web application designer so that we can access it on internet. Is there any webserver offered by sap.
SAp BI comes with a ABAP Web server and a JAVA web server. You can publish the web template / report using these servers ... they can be directly accessed using the URL ( the application has a feature to execute the same in the web ) or the same can be published as a page on Enterprise portal and then accessed from there.
2) how that report will be authenticated in browser, do we have to create a login page for users or is there any built in one.
The access for the same will be through the BI login. When you execute the URL , you will be prompted to login by the server and you do not need to create a separate login page for the same. You can also access them through Enterprise portal where the user needs to login to the enterprise portal and then access all systems using a Single Sign On or SSO.
3) Does web application designer comes with Sap GUI (like bex analyzer) or do we have to install separate programme.
The front end for Web Application designing is called Web Application designer and it gets installed along with your GUI installation and you can design the templates using the same.
Note: WAD is getting phased out by Xcelsius as part of the BI BO roadmap but then with extended support you will have WAD supported till about 2016 I guess so nothing to worry right now.

Web Application Designer - Concatenate two queries

Hi All,
we using BI 7.0 SAP GUI 6.40 Support Package 14.
I created two Queries one with characteristics within hierarchy(1) and one for the result (2).
I put the first one in filter pane item (1) and the analysis item for the second (2).
If I executing the query I see a drop down menü for the first query (1) and the complete report on the second query(2).
So, when I choose a characteristics from the drop down(2) there don`t changed the data at the second query(2) (result).
How can I concatenate 2 Queries in Web Application Designer?
Please give me a step-by-step solution.

Basically you have one query in your dropdown box and when you select one from the dropdown box you want to affect the second query. If that is the objective, then you can do that only in one query, attach the field you need in the dropdown box and create view for the table (analysis Item) and attach the view to the item. Make sure in the first dropdown box, check on the affected area which is going to be the table (analysis Item).

SAP BW Web Application Designer- Style Sheet Reference

Hi All,
Just wanted to find out if anyone knows how the style sheets are referenced in Web application designer 7. I need to change the colour of the total line. I can do this in se80 but how the style sheet is refrenced in the designer its self i what i would like to find out. I may be going down the wrong path and the layout and colours maybe controlled directly in the application designer itself, I am not sure, new to BI 7 tool set, use to 3.5!

How to add an icon to a node in network graphics?

Hi all,
Do you know how to add an icon (any SAP' icon) to a node in network graphics?
Just like a tree can have a leaf with icon (for example, a person icon, a plant icon), can a node in network graphics have an icon also? and how to implement in network graphics?
I already studied t-code gral: NETZOCX1

NETZ_BO1
NETZ_BO2
NETZ_BO3
But no actual output.
It seems using node type in network graphics can help to determine different icons, could you give some suggestion or examples?

Thanks for you link about SAP Graphics Framework. It seems not very useful in our case.
Since we are using Control Framework now, there is Tree and Networks in it. Can a node in a network have an icon (such as person icon, plant icon)? I know a leaf in a tree in Control Framework can have an icon.
Anybody has comments or suggestion?

The SDK doesn't provide any features for adding icons to the command center in SBO6.5.
Version 2004 has a new image property for menu items that can be used.

To analyze anything in LabVIEW you have to be able to access the signal through some sort of DAQ board. Once you have the signal going to a board then you have to have the right driver (packaged code) to be able for LabVIEW to communicate with that device. There are a lot of supported drivers at ni.com/idnet or you can create your own. Check out this site for how LabVIEW interacts with Audio. This other site has information on using your local sound card with your microphone or speaker input/output to interact with LabVIEW. Hopefully this will get you started in the right direction. How sharepoint understand when user requests for web applications by their DNS names

I configured Alternate access mapping in my sharepoint farm for default ,intranet zones
and spt farm has two web front end servers and they load balancing by F5 device
in WFE servers there are different web applications are running on different ports
so here I want to know how load balancing works, load balancing configured in F5 device.
when users request a webapplication from browser (ex http://cms) where this request will go
1)when I ping cms and other web applicaations it returns me a loadbalancer server IP for all web applications;
ping cms : it returns 10.xxx.0.80 , same ip returns when I ping for other web app
but ex CMS web application run on the 10.xxx.1.26:81 port in sharepoint server
2) and these sharepoint web applications running on different ports in sharepoint web servers , so here how sharepoint understand when user requests for web applications by their DNS names

I'm not sure if the F5 can add a port number (I'm not an expert on load balancers). But in general if you design the SharePoint site to run on port 81 then you need to have port 81 appended to the request or it won't work. http://cms in your
example would take you to http://cms:80 not http://cms:81. But in general DNS will resolve the address back to the F5 load balancer. The load balancer will look at the header of the HTTP request (which contains the original address you requested)
and forward the request to the appropriate web front end IP address. If your web front end is using one IP address for multiple sites then those sites need to be differntiated by using a custom port like 81 (which must be included in the original request)
or because a host header was bound to the web application when it was created. If they are running on different port numbers then the request must include the port number by the time it gets to the SharePoint server.

How to add Predefined PDF Form as a Template in BIP - 11g

Can anybody please help me to understand how to add Predefined PDF Form as a Template in BIP - 11g and how to map the Form fields with the Data Elelment.
I tried it with 10 g set up as well, but I found following things
1) PDF form template mapping was only available whenever we provide sample data with the same filed name and also number of fileld should be same.
2) According to user manual that I have, it says that whenever I click on the form field while mapping the form field data elements, it should open a new window having the corresponding mapping details.
But in my case no new window was opened when I clicked on the form field while mapping.
Please help me out since i am beginner with BIP and have to move forward with Predefined PDF Form as a Template in BIP - 11g.

I am new to BIP-11g. But i have created rtf, pdf templates in 10g. I am migrating reports to 11g. If you know How to add Predefined PDF Form as a Template in BIP - 11g , Please let me know.
In 10 g you need to do the following things
1. First you need to create data template.
2. Then you have to upload pdf template.
3. After you have uploaded the pdf template, Map Form Fields tab will appear. Then you can map the form fields.

How to upload documents to DMS from web application externally

We have a webdynpro based J2EE application. We want to create a SAP DMS ( KPRO ) document using this web application externally.
Any inputs on this scenario ?
I am able to create similar using an ABAP report which reads the client file and create the DMS document using BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE.

A custom UI component will berrequired to upload the data from a Flat File into CRM WEBUI.
The View in this UI Component can have 2 fields lets say u2013 ID and File to Upload and a button 'upload'.
When the UPLOAD button is clicked , the event u2018ONFILEUPLOADu2019 is triggered.
A Javascript function u2018fileUpload()u2019 reads the Excel file and formats the data in the form of a long string with Line Breaks corresponding to each row in the excel file. This string is stored in a Hidden HTML form element u2018Excel_Datau2019.
In the Event Handler for u2018ONFILEUPLOADu2019, the hidden form element u2018EXCEL_DATAu2019 is read and retrived.
lv_file_data = request->get_form_field( name = lv_excel_data ).
me->lv_id = request->get_form_field( name = lv_schema_id ).

How to suppress Result rows in a Query in Web Application Designer

I am trying to post a query in Web Application Designer. I am able to run the query in WAD but the Results rows appear. I choose Suppress Result Rows always in All Characteristics option in the query in BEx Explorer but still i see result rows in the WAD. Can anyone please let me know how to suppress Result rows so that they dont appear in Web Application Designer.

To get the enhanced menu-
1. Open the template in WAD.
2. Go to Web Item properties.
3. Go to Entries in Context Menu.
4. Find the "Enhanced Menu" property. Set it to "display" if you want it to be visible in template result.
5. Next time when you execute your template you will be able to access it by right clicking.
or
If you just want to supress results without adding enhanced menu in the context menu, simply set "Calculate result as" to "No Display".
