How to Add Applications to KDE Menu

Hi All,
I'm running KDE 4.2 and I have installed Wine and Scribus. Wine doesn't show up in any of the menu's and Scribus appears in Lost & Found. How do I add entries to the menu in KDE4?

@ slemKaffe - thanks for that, it was winecfg I was trying to find. I shall add that to my menu
@ NoOneImportant - I did run that first, but it only found a few KDE odds and ends, it did however find Firefox, which is strange as after I installed it and logged out and back in again, was added to the Internet sub-menu, so why menu updating tool find this
Sorry if these questions sound very "newbish", but I've been a Gnome user for the last 3 years and I'm determined to get to know KDE

Frankly, ANY link can offer a drop down.
Take a look at this turorial.
That will get you your dropdown menu. So you have that.
Now, on your top menu (or any level where you want to have an image instead of text do this:
(I am copying the HTML structure in the tutorial here):

Now, let's pretend you want an image instead of the word "Articles." You'll want the image to be sized appropriately, and if you look at the CSS, you'll see it's 112 pixels wide by 52 high. If your image is approximately those dimensions, you're all set.
So instead of "articles" you insert your image.
Done.

How to add icons in native menu with text

Hello Guys
                 Can Anybody guides me how to add icon in nativemenu system tray.Actually i am making a simple application in adobe air and use minimizing the application into system tray.On Right click on the icon present in system tray it open naitive menu with open and exit option.
i just want to add an icon with each menuItem.Please guide how can i do it.please give me some example for it.i am using this

How to add to app Services menu?

Hello all,
I'm trying to figure out how to add a "send to..." or somesuch menuItem to the Services menu in an application.
I've created Services in the Finder that I can run with a right-click, but I don't know the procedure -- if there is one -- for end users to add to the application Services menu.
My specific task is to open the current open window/document in Adobe Reader in Skim so I can fill in and edit there. None of my searches has uncovered how to go about doing this. Any helpful pointers or information gratefully accepted.

In the dashboard --> edit option u can see dashboard object here u can see folder ...by this folder u just include dashboard page other wise in the catalog share folder u need create each and evry module pre planned folder then save it each dashboard pages to relevent module folder.

How to add applications of Agent-managed-Device

Hello,
we just can´t get the Application-Monitoring get to work. We followed dozens of guides and read hundreds of forum-posts about it but nobody seems to have our problem.
So here´s the thing:
We downloaded/installed the "Application Monitoring" MP.
Klicking on the "Applications" view in this MP, there is no data shown.
We sure know that you first HAVE TO add Applications, but
HOW?
There is no option in Authoring or Administration.
You can´t even select which devices OM should scan for Applications.
Before I forget: We do NOT want to monitor local processes.
First, we got that to work and second, it´s pointless anyway(you can see with your bare eyes if a process is running or not...)
Thanks in advance for your help guys! We are really lost here.
P.S. We´re from Germany, so please excuse spelling-mistakes etc.

What sort of monitoring do you want for your application?
APM integrated to SCOM 2012 is only for managed applications (.NET and Java), and it also suits well (and actually is intended for this purpose) for your custom apps monitoring, not only for Microsoft apps as you wrote. But these should be .NET/Java-stack
based apps.

If you want to add an Application to your Wish List on iPhone it is possible with iOS 7, you need to follow the below steps.
> Open App Store on your iPhone
> In App store open the Application which you want to add to your wish list
> After opening the Application you should see a 3 horizontal lines on top right hand side of your iPhone screen (below battery icon) and next to that there is a Box with Arrow pointing towards up so Click on the "Box with arrow pointing upward" and you should see an option of Add to Wish List.
To see the Apps that you have added to Wish List Click the 3 Horizontal lines on top right hand corner of your iPhone screen (below battery icon)

How to add script icon to menu bar?

On my MacBook Pro that was upgrated to Mountain Lion the script menu I installed years earlier remained after the upgrade. Just bought a new iMac and I can't find how to get the script icon in the menu bar. In Leopard, and maybe Snow Leopard, there was acutally a script to install the menu. The scripts I use work fine under Mountain Lion, I just want to add them to the menu bar. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

used to could add applications to sidebar, now if i try drag and drop apps or app alias into sidebar, it won't expand betwwen icons and allow room. just wants to add (move) it into the default folders.
adding personal folders still works, just not apps.

Menus don't scroll, and shouldn't scroll. Given that, you shouldn't try and use JPopupMenu at all... rather, create your own component that implements the look and behavior you want. It will be far easier and less frustrating.
Either that... or you should re-think what functionality you are trying to provide, and how you are trying to implement it. A scrolling menu just seems like a counterintuitive wacky UI design to me.

in iTunes, click on the icon of your Touch and go to the applications tab. put a "tick" in the checkbox like so
next time you sync your Touch, all apps you purchased from the iTunes store will be sync'd to it.

Correct, you cannot add music to a layered menu, nor can you add video. There is no "solution" for this other than do not use layered menus.

IPhone SDK - How to add application files and folders to Xcode?

I want to package a folder with data specific to my app. The data is just a bunch of binary files in proprietary format.
These files should be installed under /Documents folder of the application. The files themselves will be in a folder called say Data. So when i run the app from Xcode i want it to copy the files to
/Documents/Data folder under the bundlePath.
There could be a file called data.dat under the Data folder.
So in my application i want to be able to use the NSFileHandle interface or the standard C fopen() function to access the file /Documents/Data/data.dat .
How can i do this using Xcode? Is there a tool one needs to use to create an install package?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you look at the SQLiteBooks example, it shows and example of installing some extra data (books.sql) into the documents folder. Look at the function createEditableCopyOfDatabaseIfNeeded in AppDelegate.m
You should also add in the starting/static data files in the build process in XCode - you can probably add to, or create another build step that will copy the files from your host machine into the app bundle.

Hi, I've been using PP for a while, just started using CS3 a few months ago. A few quick questions:
1) My titles have somehow started rolling down instead of up, how do i change that? in otherwords the bottom of the credits show before the first part
2) I wanted to give an effect of an LCD look, is that possible? By that I mean like instead of filming a website from my monitor, what can give it tha tlook like an LCD grid or something.
3) I am thinking of creating a menu and wanted to add like a rolling fog on the top layer of a menu. I've never created a menu in Premiere, is that possible?

I don't think you can. I believe apps have to be written to take advantage of background app refresh. Your best bet would be to contact the developer.
