How to add games in the add/remove section?

Having just switched from an other manufacture Netbook (total nightmare) to the Toshiba (amazing), my daughter (10) was wondering how come the number of games in the add / remove program is way less than in the other manufacture's add/remove program section?
Are there any other sources of games for this machine and if so, how do I add them to the add remove section?

The add remove programmes seems to be a cut down version of the package manager, which is normally run by the root/master user.
Go to preferences/main menu / administration and click on the synaptic package manager. This will add it to the menu selection under admin. Close the windows down.
Go to administration/synaptic package manager. This will open the add remove programmes in FULL.
You willl find many more games listed. The down side of adding this to the menu list i that it gives FULL access to operating system programmes as well as the games. Removal of some programmes from here could also remove dependancies for other programmes.
Perhaps you could set yourself up as the root user and add/remove programmes for her. Set her up without admin priveliges.

Why can't I access any Add-ons from the Add-on site?

When I go to the Add-ons page, the add-ons turn from bright and ready to access to a greyed out...foggy like appearance in a second. And when I click one and try to install it anyway I get this message, "

When I click the "download anyway" (since I just up-graded to Firefox 37.0 an hour earlier and have been using it all that time), I get this message, "The download could not be downloaded because of a connection failure on add-ons.Mozilla.org"
This happens with ALL the add-ons in the Add-on site. Not some..ALL.
It has been doing this for months.
After searching site after site...including Mozilla, the very few suggestions I have read regarding this seem to suggest the reader is somehow either sub-moronic or is an I.T whiz and will understand two pages of raw code.

Unless you are referring to the search engine in Search Bar, Mozilla does not make or maintain the Yahoo! Toolar extension as that would be Yahoo!.

How do i hide/remove the text above the add-on bar (I guess its the information when you surf) I find it annoying or can I add/move TO the add-on bar so its not so annoying/intrusive?

When you move from site to site, or page to page you get information on the bottom of the browser above the addon bar (if the addon bar is visible) - Id like to remove or hide or move it TO the addon bar instead of being in the main browser window. CAN i do that, and if so - how? I find this text annoying esp since it has a light background and the page you are on has a dark page so its very noticeable/distracting.

How do I turn off the add-on bar so it doesn't turn itself back on?

By right clicking on the menu I can turn on or off the various toolbars including the Add-on bar. But if I create a new tab or new window it turns on the add-on bar again. How can I turn it off so it does not reappear?

I have extension McAfee SiteAdvisor. And yes if I disable it the troublesome add-on bar stops reappearing. But SiteAdvisor does useful things even without displaying the add-on bar.

When looking for WeatherFox, I discovered my entire lower bar had disappeared. I cannot figure out how to restore it. The add-ons are still installed.

I just noticed this morning that the lower tool bar, including weatherfox, Hebrew Calendar, and several other add-ons, has completely disappeared. Perhaps it's a matter of having inadvertently clicked on something one day when not paying attention. When I checked under Firefox preferences a little while ago, I went to <manage add-ons> and saw all installed add-ons were still installed. I cannot find a way to restore the lower tool bar displaying them.
After doing a back-up, I opened Time Machine to see whether an earlier Firefox homepage included the lower bar. I don't know whether I did not go back far enough or whether Firefox is somehow opening to a new, unintended default without that lower bar, no matter how far back I go.
Meanwhile, in the process of writing this, I returned to Firefox Preferences and now the general preferences dialogue box is completely screwed up, as though the size of the contents of that dialogue box had grown, in both dimensions, so it no longer fits within the box and parts of it cannot be accessed. It is truncated, in other words, both at the right side and along the bottom. I can no longer even access the add-ons section. The last thing visible at the bottom of that box is the very top part of the line of text that appears to read: "Choose preferences for your add-ons." It's as though someone had come along with an Exacto and sheared away the bottom part of that line of text. And then there's the <?> at the lower left corner. Along the right side of the box, under "Home Page," there are three buttons: <Use Current Pages>, <Use Bookmark>, and <Restore to Defau>, which is the point at which the text ends.
What the heck is going on? Now it's not only a matter of restoring the lower bar on my Firefox page, with add-ons displayed, but apparently I need to figure out how to resize the general preferences dialogue box, as well. I just checked: The other preferences dialogue boxes appear to fit correctly.
I use a Mac PowerBook G4 with Firefox version 3.6.13.

Firefox hangs when clicking "Options" on any add-on in the add-on manager.

After the latest update the add-on manager window hangs whenever i click on the options for any add-on. The main firefox window works fine, but i am unable to to go into the options for my add-ons. Moreover, my search engines keep rearranging and disappearing. I dont know if that's relevant, but I thought I should add it too.

I installed 4 different extensions ... when I click on addon manager and click any extension "options" the whole addon manger freezes up for me as well. I can't close or escape the window. I can open another browser window but the old window with the addon manager is frozen so I must use task manager to close.
After trying many options this worked for me ... I uninstalled Adobe Flash plugin and reinstalled Shockwave Flash 11.0.1.152 ... I do not know why or how but it fixed the problem Now everything is working HURRAY!

Anytime you consume a material spec (in a trade or a formulation spec lets say) the UOM list is defined by a few things:
1. Standard Mass Listing is always included
2. Volume UOMs appear if density is defined on the material specification
3. Additional "Other" UOMs will appear if defined in the Available UOM > UOM Conversions Grid
There is a strict UOM configuration available that allows you to restrict which UOMs are used per specification. It this is turned on then only the UOMs listed in the Available UOMs section will appear in the drop down.

I'm a new Firefox user. I liked it until the game appeared on the home page. I understand Mozilla will eventually remove the game. In the meantime, I feel visually disturbed.

I loved the user control of iGoogle. I quit Google due to animations during the International Soccer tournament. Firefox is cleaner and easier to read than Google Chrome.

If you prefer not to see the snippets on the about:home page or otherwise experience problems with a snippet then you can set the browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl pref to an empty string on the about:config page.
Delete the storage\persistent\moz-safe-about+home folder in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed ("3-bar" Firefox menu button > Exit/Quit) to remove snippets stored in IndexedDB and make Firefox use a default snippet set.
You can reset the browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl pref via the right-click context menu to the default value to re-enable the snippets and make Firefox recreate the moz-safe-about+home folder.
You need to close and restart Firefox after changing the value of the browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl pref.
You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

Ok on the nokia 6300 i accidently deleted the soccer and snakes games and also the world clock and a couple more in that group. I was just wondering on how to find the games and world clock for examplr again because i have looked on the internet and can't find anythin. I just upgraded my Norton Internet Security and I've lost ALL my bookmarks and add-ons. The add-ons aren't a big deal, but can I get my bookmarks back?

After rebooting my PC to finish Norton's installation, I opened Firefox and all of my bookmarks and add-ons were gone. My persona was also missing, too. Is there any way to remedy this without having to go through and re-bookmark every page?

If it backed up to my laptop, that died and I just got the new computer. The one that's crashed won't even boot, so there's no way to even tell if it was syncing the contacts along with all the phone photos. Literally happened at the same time - it was because I had the new computer that I was finally able to pull the photos off the phone and make room for the upgrade. It had refused to upgrade for lack of space for some time.
I had thought it was set to sync to iCloud but it vanished from BOTH my phone and the cloud. That's why I'm so angry about it.

Do you have restrictions enabled? Settings>General>Restrictions>On? If you have it set to on, you may have disabled making changes to mail accounts in which case you would not be able to add another email account.

Since most printers work by adding color (or not) to white paper, anything left white in the image will be the unmodified color of the paper. That's the easy part. The tricky part is making the other colors look right. (Blue ink on yellow paper will likely look green, for example.) White is hardest, unless you have a printer with white ink.
