How to add infoObject at query level

Dear Friends,
How to add or import Info Object or Charecterstics directly at query level. Please note that this perticular Info Object is not available in Info Cube.
Please help me. It is very urgent.

I have added InfoObject accordingly in MultiProvider, but in query result no results are coming for this perticular infoobject. It is coming as "Not assigned".
Is there any other solution like "customer exit"

I would like to ask how to add an infoobject in the Data Selection Tab of the InfoPackage in 2004s. It says its optional, this definintion of selection criteria for the infopackage.
My apologies, I don't understand how this is done. Surely, I would like, however, to understand how to add an infoobject in this data selection Tab of the InfoPackage in 2004s.
Can any kind soul out there (gurus) please lend me your thoughts?

How to add additional fields created to selection screen too ?
I have created some additional fields in the infoset . but when i am trying to create a Query the fields are only appearing as output fields ...
normally the fields should appear both as a selection and output field .

Hi,
Create additional fields in infoset, assign those fields to field group then generate infoset. Change corresponding query where you will see the additional fields and in selection fields window select the additional fields.

How to add '%' to a query with bind variables

I am using oracle jdeveloper 11g.
I am trying to create a table to display rows using the below query in a jspx page,
select * from ade_txns where series='WORKPLACE_PT.11.1.1.8.0_GENERIC' and transaction like 'rkumara%'
I am using a view with query and binding variables as below,
select * from ade_txns where series= :p_series and transaction like :p_QAEngineer
I will be passing p_QAEngineer using binding variable using 'ExecuteWithParams' using a dropdown(eg: 'rkumara'). But I need to add a '%' to this value as I am using a 'LIKE' clause in my query.
I tried using,
select * from ade_txns where series= :p_series and transaction like :p_QAEngineer+'%'
But this is not working for me.
Can someone please tell me how i can solve this.

How to add more fields at level task for importing to MsProject

Hi everyone,
We would like to have the same number of fields either for importing as exporting; or at least, the fields that we need.
The problem is when we are configurating the fields for exporting from cProjects to MsProject, we found 81 available fields and then we don't find the same amount for importing (34). So, in some cases we don't find fields which were configurated for exporting and it is no posible to upload the information back because the field is no available for importing.
Does anyone knows how to add more fields for importing at the cProjects side?

Some fields can not be migrated because of MsProject designe. The above is the reason why cProjects' customizing does not offer the
mapping of the same nuember of fields.

How to add pl sql query into help text of an item.

In my database i have added comments to the colums. I would like to use this comments in the help text of the items of my application. I have the query but when I use it in the help text attribute it does not execute the query, it presents the query.
Any ideas?

It is probably too late now, but note that if you create your application using the Create Application Wizard and Application Models, based on User Interface Defaults created in the SQL Workshop, any column comments will automatically become application help text.

WEB BEx Analyzer Comments on Query level

I would like to enable BW users to create comments for some queries an enable other user to read them. System BW 7.01.
Issues and questions:
-how to create comment on query level - it's always on data (KYF), Metadata or Master data level
-I would like to show the document icon - next to the query title (it's relevant for the query)
-when I create Comments (with the button in the standard template), it's on the data level (combination of KYF) - and when I
switch to icon display (settings) I get icons in every line. If this would be just at KYF header??
-where can I edit, delete, ... recorded comments

Hi Tom,
1) If you want to create comments on query level, you need to create metadata documents, object type 'ELEM', object name is the technical name of the query.
2) Document icons are always shown in the data table. Thus it will be hard to show a document icon for a document on query level. If you are using web templates, you can insert a single document item on metadata documents to display the comment on the query.
3) Where the document is displayed depends on the document properties. If a characteristic is document property depends on the infoobject setting -> transaction RSD1 -> enter the characteristic -> tab 'general'.
To see the document properties you can execute the query for example in RSRT (html mode) -> create a new document on any cell. On the bottom you will see the document assignment. Compare this assignment with the cell next to it. If its the same the document will be displayed in both cells. The same can be done for example in java web -> create a new document and switch to the second tab ('BI').
4) Documents can be edited and deleted in the document browser itself, when you open the document in the executed query or in transaction RSA1 -> documents.

SSRS 2008 Work order report , in sub total donot want to add the 0 level in ( how to add the expression )

working in Work order report, this report has different level , for example
0 level transaction
1 level transaction
in subtotal don't want to add 0 level transaction,
when I did the sub total it added all the level , so in sub total amount double up because of that
how to add the expression so I can the level 0 take out from sub total , so it does not include in sub total
can some one please help me with this

How to add an Infotype to an exsting Infoset (ad hoc query)

Hi,
How to add an Infotype (Ex. 0025) to an exsting Infoset (ad hoc query)?
I was trying by clicking on 'Extras' tab & create...I get three options, create field, create table or create structure.
I am not sure which to use or is there any other way? Pls. let me know the steps...
Also what is this 'Package', which is aked whenever you create or change an Infoset.
Pls. suggest.

I was able to add the infotype by adding the table as PA0025 & include all the fields in the field group.
When I check, I get the following error:

How to add an infoobject to a DSO,on which an infoset is build.
In general common infoobjects can be for reporting purpose right?
Do I need to add the new infoobject in all the DSOs.My infoset consists of 6 DSOs.
If my concept is wrong.what is the correct method of extracting infoobjects from DSOs to Infoset.

Hi,
You need to add these two fields in the DSO only. Make sure that you are mapping these two fields in the transformation. After that, drop the data and reload the DSO. Then make changes to the infoset.
By Component, what I mean:
I'll take your example only...
Say, for Material_Group, this data is not coming to DSo data Source. In this case, even if you will add this object to your DSO, you wont be able to map this in the transformation as R3 filed is not available. Ultimately, you wont be able to load data for this. So, its worthless.
But, you have a master data called 0Material. and Material_Group is an attribute of this 0Material.In this case, you will add 0Material to the infoset directly, as a component of infoset(from the tab infoobject), and you will select Material group. In this way, we generally aceess the master data attributes.

What kind of report? Usually, you have to add the field in the table declaration and then also in the SQL query. After that, include the field in what kind of report you are using.
