hi Arun.
My code will be something like this.
DECLARE
htree ITEM;
rg_data RECORDGROUP;
BEGIN
-- Find the tree itself.
htree := Find_Item('control.emp_tree');
-- Find the record group.
rg_data := FIND_GROUP('rg1');
-- Add the new node at the top level and children.
Ftree.Add_Tree_Data(htree,
Ftree.ROOT_NODE,
Ftree.PARENT_OFFSET,
Ftree.LAST_CHILD,
Ftree.RECORD_GROUP,
rg_data);
END;
if i use add_tree but i think it will add all the same nodes down. guide me plz. i am confused.

  • How to add node value using org.w3c.dom.Document?

    Hi ,
    I'm using org.w3c.dom.Document to deal with xml files. I could successfully add nodes , and their attributes. However I could not add a value of the node. (e.g. <myNode>I couldn't add this value</myNode>)
    does anyone know how to deal with this?
    I tried subNode.setNodeValue("the value i can't add"); whereas the subNode is an instance of org.w3c.dom.Node... i know this is interface i of course used the concrete class
    org.apache.crimson.tree.ElementNode
    but when I used the subNode.getNodeValue() i simply got null?
    can u plz help me?
    thanks in advance

    Reading the API documentation for the Node interface might help. At least you wouldn't be surprised when the results are exactly what the documentation says they will be.
    What would really help would be forgetting the idea that an Element can have a value. Text nodes have values, though, so create a Text node and make it the child of the Element node.

    hello pradeep,
    for adding icons in the tree, u willhave to look closely to the
    data format for the tree.in the data format used for populating
    the tree we are supplying 5 fields. the state of the tree node
    (expanded or collapsed), the depth of the node w.r.t the parent
    node, the node value, the node label(what we see on the tree)
    and the node icon which we want to use. for the node icon we
    have to provide the entire path of the icon file. that's it.
    hope this will solve the problem

    What I need to do is find the sample by its ID attribute...IN THEN add the following
    <MC_Data>
    <Wet>blah</Wet
    <Dry>blah</Dry>
    </MC_Data>
    Here is the code I have now, which doesn't work...
    Public Sub XML_Add_Child_Node_Group(Sample_ID As String, Which_Category As Integer)
            If File.Exists(Program_Settings_File.PG_Filepath) = False Then MsgBox("The program settings file for the program has been moved or deleted! Cancelled.") : Exit Sub
            Dim XMLFile As New Xml.XmlDocument, NewNode As Xml.XmlElement = Nothing, NewChild As Xml.XmlElement = Nothing
            XMLFile.Load(Current_File.Current_File_Path)
            Dim Root_Node As XmlNode = XMLFile.SelectSingleNode("/Project_Data/Samples/[@ID='" & Sample_ID & "']")
            Dim Root_Element As Xml.XmlElement = CType(XMLFile.SelectSingleNode("/Project_Data/Samples/[@ID='" & Sample_ID & "']"), XmlElement)
            '1 = Add MC nodes
            Select Which_Category
                Case 1
                    '----Add new node.
                    NewNode = XMLFile.CreateElement("MC_Data")
                    '----Add children nodes.
                    NewChild = XMLFile.CreateElement("MC_Wet") : NewNode.AppendChild(NewChild)
                    'MsgBox(NewNode.Name)
                    NewChild = XMLFile.CreateElement("MC_Dry") : NewNode.AppendChild(NewChild)
                    NewChild = XMLFile.CreateElement("MC_Tare") : NewNode.AppendChild(NewChild)
                    NewChild = XMLFile.CreateElement("MC_Tare_No") : NewNode.AppendChild(NewChild)
                    NewChild = XMLFile.CreateElement("MC_Remarks") : NewNode.AppendChild(NewChild)
                    NewChild = XMLFile.CreateElement("MC_MC") : NewNode.AppendChild(NewChild)
                    Root_Element.AppendChild(NewNode)
            End Select
            '----Add entire tree.
            XMLFile.Save(Current_File.Current_File_Path)
        End Sub
    No matter what, it will not add these nodes. Can anyone help me out? Thanks ahead of time...

  • How to add popupMenu to Tree control in BSP

    Hello,
    I need to attach a popupMenu HTMLB control to htmlb:tree control in BSP (something like a hooverMenu in EP).
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Yan

    i'm using this code:
    jTable1.addMouseListener(new MouseAdapter() {
    public void mousePressed(MouseEvent e) {
    if (e.isPopupTrigger()) {
    int row = jTable1.rowAtPoint(e.getPoint());
    int col = jTable1.columnAtPoint(e.getPoint());
    pop.show(e.getComponent(), e.getX(), e.getY());
    public void mouseReleased(MouseEvent e) {
    if (e.isPopupTrigger()) {
    int sel = jTable1.rowAtPoint(e.getPoint());
    int col = jTable1.columnAtPoint(e.getPoint());
    pop.show(e.getComponent(), e.getX(), e.getY());
    in the specified cell ( the cell i clicked) should be a vector with values. How can i get this vector and add the values to the popupMenu??
    thanks

  • How to dynamically add Nodes to JTree?

    How to add nodes to a Jtree by getting the information into a specific file
    For example, in JList:
    DefaultListModel workgroups;
    workgroups = new DefaultListModel();
    List<String> workgroupsList = new ArrayList<String>();
    workgroupsList = ParserUtils.getWorkgroupList(ParserUtils.getConfigPath() + "\\.workgroup.properties");
    if (!workgroupsList.isEmpty()){
         for (String workgroup : workgroupsList){
              workgroups.addElement(workgroup.toString().trim());
    workgroupList = new JList(workgroups); //adds the list workgroupsThe output of this will be a JList displaying the list of workgroups per line. The list could be found in a file name "workgroup.properties"
    Question is, is it possible to adapt this same method in JTree. The information per line will serve as one node in the tree. For example, I have 3 workgroups in the list, there will also be 3 nodes to be found in the tree.
    Any suggestions?
    THanks.

    There's a huge JTree example in the Swing tutorial. It's a bit of a beast to use.

  • Add/Edit/Delete Tree Nodes using CL_GUI_ALV_TREE

    Hi All,
    I am looking for an example of program with CL_GUI_ALV_TREE that have a functionality of add a tree node, edit a tree node, and delete a tree node.
    I have already looked the BCALV_TREE* demo program but could not able to find a program to add/edit/delete node tree elements.
    Any info on this.
    Thanks
    aRs

    Hello aRs
    Here is a sample report showing how to delete nodes in an ALV tree. The report was copied from BCALV_TREE_01. Search for added code:
    *$ADDED: begin
    *$ADDED: end[/code]
    When you display the tree expand the first folder completely. When entering 'DELETE' into the command field directly the first flight date node will be deleted.
    REPORT ZUS_SDN_BCALV_TREE_01_DELNODE.
    based on: REPORT  bcalv_tree_01.
    Purpose:
    ~~~~~~~~
    This report shows the essential steps to build up a hierarchy
    using an ALV Tree Control (class CL_GUI_ALV_TREE).
    Note that it is not possible to build up this hierarchy
    using a simple ALV Tree Control (class CL_GUI_ALV_TREE_SIMPLE).
    To check program behavior
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Start this report. The hierarchy tree consists of nodes for each
    month on top level (this level can not be build by a simple ALV Tree
    because there is no field for months in our output table SFLIGHT.
    Thus, you can not define this hierarchy by sorting).
    Nor initial calculations neither a special layout has been applied
    (the lines on the right do not show anything).
    Note also that this example does not build up and change the
    fieldcatalog of the output table. For this reason, all fields
    of the output table are shown in the columns although the fields
    CARRID and FLDATE are already placed in the tree on the left.
    (Of course, this is not a good style. See BCALV_TREE_02 on how to
    hide columns).
    Essential steps (Search for '§')
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    1.Usual steps when using control technology.
       1a. Define reference variables.
       1b. Create ALV Tree Control and corresponding container.
  • How to add child node in Tree table programmetically
    Jdev Version 11.1.1.4.0.
    I have created tree table programmetically in bean.
    I have to add child node to tree table component on button click event on page.
    Please let me know how to do this in bean.
    Regards,
    Kiran
    How are you creating the tree pro-grammatically?
    If you are adding a new node to underlying data structure and refresh the tree - the tree will get updated with the new data.
    Thanks,
  • How to add an icon to a node in network graphics?
    Hi all,
      Do you know how to add an icon (any SAP' icon) to a node in network graphics?
    Just like a tree can have a leaf with icon (for example, a person icon, a plant icon), can a node in network graphics have an icon also?  and how to implement in network graphics?
      I already studied t-code gral: NETZOCX1
    NETZOCX2
    NETZ_BO1
    NETZ_BO2
    NETZ_BO3
    But no actual output.
    It seems using node type in network graphics can help to determine different icons, could you give some suggestion or examples?
    Thanks a lot!!
    Hi,
      Thanks for you link about SAP Graphics Framework. It seems not very useful in our case.
      Since we are using Control Framework now, there is Tree and Networks in it. Can a node in a network have an icon (such as person icon, plant icon)? I know a leaf in a tree in Control Framework can have an icon.
      Anybody has comments or suggestion?
      Thanks!
