How to add note to underlined text for pdf within Preview

Sometimes I can right-click in underlined or highlighted text in Preview and get an option "add note" so that there's a text box without an balloon icon (like the one you get by pressing control+N). But it is so tricky that I have to try several times before the option appears. Is there any easy way to do it?

Go to View menu >Show annotations toolbar > click on the text box at the bottom and you should get a type cursor when you click on the area outside or within the document or photo. Then type. Does this not happen consistently?

Hi,
Easiest way is to download the table eg into an Excel table (if possible) or text table. Drop the table from the database. Build your table with the new key field. Build the database table again and fill it.
You can do it also over the database into a new table. Drop the old one. Build the enhanced one and fill it. Afterwards drop your (temporary) table.
Maybe there are other ways, but this works.

How to Add/Concatenate to a text field, values selected in a combo box

I have a combo box form field that allows the user to select a value from a list and click on an Add button. The Add button should add/concatenate the vaue selected to a text field in order to create a list of values selected. I'm not sure how to do this using Javascript in Acrobat? I know I need to add the javascript to the Add button's Mouse Up action. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Let's say the text field's name is "Text1", and the combo is called "Combo1". You can then use this code as the MouseUp script of the Add button:

var f2 = this.getField("Combo1");
if (f1.value=="") f1.value = f2.value;
else f1.value = f1.value + ", " + f2.value;

How to add entry to MEMSD_DEP (Packagesize for T51) second ;-)

Hi,
ok I posted the thread "How to add entry to MEMSD_DEP (Packagesize for T51)?" before and now I have created the view and I am able to add entries to the table....
BUT:
If I try to add the entry like they are described in the help.sap.com - search for "T51 MEMSD_DEP" - I get the following error:
"Entry T51SYNCBOCONFIG does not exsist in MEMSD - check your entry."
And it is right in the MEMSD there are all my applications and patches I have uploaded in the webconsole, but no T51SYNCBOCONFIG....
Can you help me out?

If that T51SYNCBOCONFIG is not there in ur MI server , create a new MCD with this name and include ur Back - end driven syncBo to this MCD. then proceed.

This table is the Mobile Component Descriptor master table.
This will contain the details of the created MCDs.
Inorder to insert values in the fields on which we have assigned the check table,
values must be present in this check table.
That means , to insert a new value in the NAME field of the MEMSD_DEP table , that entered value must be present in the MEMSD table .
If T51SYNCBOCONFIG is not in the MEMSD tabel , u cannot insert this value in the table MEMSD_DEP.

Trouble with "add note to replace text" annotation

When I use "Add note to replace text" in Reader XI, the note acts as if it is locked even though it is not. The Locked box is not checked, but yet the options are grayed out; and I cannot delete the note, though I can edit the text box. "Strikethrough" and "Insert text at cursor" work fine.
I am using the latest update of XI and have uninstalled and reinstalled it several times; I've also tried various older versions of XI. It happens with documents I've created or documents others have created; it happens on docs created from Word or those created from InDesign; it happens on docs downloaded several years ago as well as ones from the past month.
I CAN delete these add-and-replace notes if I receive a file with them already put there by someone else--I just can't delete my own that I am adding right now. When I send the pdf to other people they have the same problem--in fact, someone told me that in her case ALL of my notes appear locked, not just the Add note to replace text one--yet when I send it to her, on my side, I have not locked any of them.
Also, I do seem to be able to delete my own annotations I put on documents fairly recently--I have files from Sept 9 and Sept 17 that I can do this. But if I try to add notes to those same docs now, they act just like all the other ones--I cannot delete those particular notes and they appear locked.
Help please!!

You could write an html-text file that revers to the image file
after that you could even convert this html-file to an rtfd file (which is a package after all) using textutil

Sales text can be copied from customer to order , order to delivery and delivery to billing .
Check the T-code : VOTXN , do the customization as per your requirement.

The only way I see to make it like that would be to recreate the theme in LabVIEW 2010 with external bitmap objects. Unfortunately it won't be as functional as the silver controls in various terms such scaling (bitmaps scale very badly) or transparency and click through functionality (a bitmap assigned to a control part will always catch all clicks and never allow a click to pass through anywhere to a lower layered part).
The silver controls are using special internal graphic objects that were added in LabVIEW 2011, so recreating silver controls with the same functionality in earlier LabVIEW versions is impossible.

You may substitute any text you like for the "Placeholder Text", as it is called, in Pages. Click on the existing placeholder text and type something more to your liking. Do this in as many places as your particular template of interest demands. Then, Format > Advanced > Define as Placeholder Text. Lastly, File > Save as Template.
Now that you have defined a Custom Template to your liking, you can go to Pages Preferences and under the General tab's first section, define the new custom template as your default for each new document.

If the iPad was running iOS 7, the thief/finder will not ever be able to use it.

There is not a way to add audio/ music to text/mms messages similar to adding a picture.

To a standard SMS text message, no there isn't. For MMS it would depend on what multimedia your carrier supports. For anything that is not storted in the Photo app (images, video files), you add them to the Message using the camera icon. For anything else, you would start in the app that contains the file, and use the Share function (if available). The Voice Memos app does this for example. Third party apps would vary in terms of having this feature and how it is accessed.
