How to add offsets to the channel

Say my detector has initial offset of 10mV without any input. Now if i want to reset the signal at 0mV so that I only see the input and not the offset once my detector detects the signal for same channel. any ideas?

My apologies for not answering sooner. I had it open to reply to a week ago, got a higher level interrupt, and never got back. In any case...
Most National Instruments hardware does not offer offset capabilities, so it must be done in software. SignalExpress usually requires you to do everything explicitly. This has usability issues, such as the one you currently have (would like to set offsets on each channel individually), but makes up for it in flexibility. It is almost an old-style UNIX approach to data acquisition. SignalExpress exposes the raw data acquisition and simple function blocks that you can string together however you wish. In this case, you have a couple of options:
If your signals all have the same offset, you can use the group output of the DAQ input step as the input to an Arithmetic or Scaling and Conversion step to remove the offset.
If the signals have different offsets (most likely), use a separate step for each.
View the output of the scaling step as you are taking data to see the zeroed data.

So why did you said that in your first posting? My glass sphere is out for cleaning...
Instead of type c use strings and add spaces until they have the appropriate length.
loop at outtab assigning <pout>.
while strlen( <pout>-val ) < 135.
concatenate <pout>-val `` into <pout>-val.
endwhile.

i am using following command.

but after doing it is giving me the following error

1. Go to transaction BD64.
2. Click on Change button.
3. Expand the corresponding model view.
4. Expand the corresponding message type (i.e MATMAS).
5. Place the cursor to 'No filter set' and double click.
6. Click on Create Filter Group.
7. Add your filter from here ...
8. Once done, save the model view.

If you are getting HTML code from one of these slideshow.com places, you can add this code to your iWeb pages with a little bit of work. Two things to keep in mind...1. No way to do this via iWeb directly, so it involves editing the published html files, and 2. Because iWeb republishes the html files whenever you update the your webpage, you will lose your changes and have to redo them to add your slideshows back.
The general directions are as follows...
1. Decide where you want your slideshow and know exactly what dimensions you need.
2. Insert a text box onto your page and adjust its size to exactly your dimensions.
3. Type in some uniquely identifiable text like, "SLIDESHOWHERE" without changing the font or anything else...just type it in.
4. Publish your page with iWeb.
5. Find the html file associated with your published page (either on your iDisk or in a folder depending on how you published) and open it in any text editor (like Microsoft Word, or Textedit, or anything). You may need to set your text editor to "ignore rich text" or to "show HTML source".
6. Scroll through the html file and locate your placeholder text, e.g. "SLIDESHOWHERE".
7. Replace the placeholder text with your html code and save your page.
That's it. You should see your slideshow element show up in Safari where you placed the text box in iWeb!

How can I get all the channels output to the file? Is it possible to append data blocks into one data file?

If you are performing a multiple channel acquisition, the easiest way to write all of your data to a file and have new data appended to that same file will be to use the "Write to LabVIEW Measurement File" Express VI. This VI is located on the Functions>>Output Palette.
If you put one of these on the block diagram, a dialog box will appear with options including an "append to file" option. This Express VI also allows to configure how your channels are saved in the file and the LabVIEW Measurement File can be opened in Microsoft Excel.
There are some other vi's for writing data to a file on the Funcions>>All Functions>>File I/O palette. The "Write to Spreadsheet File.vi" on this palette will work for your application as well. There is an "append to file" input in which you will have to wire in a "true" constant to append your data.

How can I automatically control the channel selection on the data logger

I am an in-experienced use with a simple system which measures and displays temperature from 16 thermocouples. Not all 16 thermocouples are always connected at once and those that aren't are blanked off from view. I would also like to use the Advanced Data Logger VI to log the measurements but would like to have the logger only record or display the thermocouples that are connected. Un-connected channels give a signal of 1264 degrees so I can use a comparator to give a boolean output to switch them off. Can anyone please tell me how to do this.
Also, I need to expand the VI to read all 16 channels instead of the current 8. Any help would be appreciated

Unfortunately I couldn't get the reference of the example you mention, probably you may want to add it as an attachment so the person who decides to answer this question knows exactly which example you are describing. So for the part of making visible/invisible some of the channels I attached an example that I built for demonstrating this feature, simply open the VI and run it, if you want one of the channels or plots from the graph to be invisible just click in the push button that corresponds to it. Switch to the block diagram and review the use of property nodes, using the property of visible.

How to add text to the summary

I wanted to add a text to my summ total on my report.
The forum told me to add a boiler plate text item. However this item displays on every page.. I want it to only display where the summary is. I tried using anchors but it will not attach to the summary item.. Help

I guess you are referring to this post:

First make sure that you place the boilerplate exactly where you had (or currently have) the summary column, ie, in the SAME frame or repeating frame.
Second, open the property inspector for your summary column. Find the properties "Print Object On" and "Base Printing on", and make sure that both of these are the same for your boilerpate as for your summary column.
