How to Add other Domains to my Exchange Server 2007

Right now I have four different business locations.  We use our Exchange server and outlook.  The other locations just use a mail provider.  I want to add those three different domains to my exchange server and so we can all use my exchange
server for a more unified email experience.  Thanks in advance. 

I would assume they are in the same forest just different domain like child domain right?

    Based on my knowledge, to add a new name in the accepted domain list is to add a SMTP address suffix for the mailboxes. Thus, it uses the same mailbox if you setup two accepted domain in one Exchange Server 2010.

    Edge role is design for perimeter networks, to keep security risks minimum.  So it’s not recommended to have edge role in internal network. Must have separate network or subnet for edge services.
    If you are playing around it in labs, then you can put edge role within same subnet as other exchange roles and no specific requirements in that case.

    I am trying to figure out how to direct a domain from an old server to a new site on Adobe Business Catalyst.
    My client has his old website on a server (not business catalyst), he also has email addresses there.
    I designed his new website on Adobe Muse and uploaded it to a temporary address on Business Catalyst. Now I want to direct his domain name to this new website.
    Is there a way to do this seamlessly, including the emaill addresses?

    You should be able to do this through your domain registrar.  Simply point the domain record to the business catalyst site and give it a few hours to propagate and you should be done.

  • How to move all emails from mailbox to an external email account in Exchange Server 2007?

    I have a user who is leaving the university in a few days. The user would like to forward all of their old emails from their mailbox to their G-mail account. Will setting up email forwarding forward all of the old emails to the G-mail account or just the
    new emails that are received after setting up email forwarding? If forwarding isn't the correct solution; then what is? We are running Exchange Server 2007.

    No, as you've suspected the forwarding will only affect new messages coming into the mailbox, not existing ones. Additionally, if you did get all existing messages to forward to another account (you could probably do it by creating a rule in Outlook) then
    the gmail account would show every single one of them as arriving now, and lose their existing send date.
    Probably a better option would be to export the mailbox to .pst, and then assuming the user has their gmail account configured in Outlook somewhere as something other than POP3 they can then open the .pst file on their machine and copy the messages over
    to their gmail account, which I think would also preserve the original information.
    You could do that via the server using Export-Mailbox as described here
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/bb266964(v=exchg.80).aspx (note it has to be run from a 32-bit OS with the Exchange Management tools installed), or the user could just as easily do it themselves from within Outlook using the Export option.

    Problem is Exchange server 2007 user mailbox has been deleted and it’s already purged. Now we need to recover that mailbox. Is there any way to recover purged mailbox in Exchange server 2007?
    Or we are planning create new mailbox and help me to find old mailbox server and database details then I will restore data from backup. Please suggest if you have better idea than this one. Thanks

    I would suggest using one of your backups and creating a recovery database and pulling the users mailbox from that recovery database.

    I have a test in my environment using Exchange 2007, you can use the following cmdlet to assign Application Impersonation rights to an account using UPN.
    Get-ExchangeServer | where {$_.IsClientAccessServer -eq $TRUE} | ForEach-Object {Add-ADPermission -Identity $_.distinguishedname -User (Get-User -Identity
    [email protected] | select-object).identity -extendedRight ms-Exch-EPI-Impersonation}
    Get-MailboxDatabase | ForEach-Object {Add-ADPermission -Identity $_.DistinguishedName -User
    [email protected] -ExtendedRights ms-Exch-EPI-May-Impersonate}
    Note: Please change the "[email protected]" to the UPN you want to use.

    maybe I am stupid, but I can't seem to get this thing to work,
    I have installed mail for exchange 2.3, finally the security setting is showing, I have approved the certificate but still I am getting the very general :
    "Error in Exchange server. try again later."
    to explain my steps:
    1. configure the connection to use the HSDPA/Cellular link.
    2. hostname: owa.domain.com , username and password.
    server is Exchange server 2007 and configured behind an ISA server. OWA 2007 from a browser works fine.
    please any assistance would be great, I don't even know how to approach it anymore.

    Hi Imran,
    As per my information Webcenter Suite 10.1.3.2 does not have any direct integration capability with MS Exchange Server due to DEEP LINK LIMITATION. Only possible work around is go for External Application SSO registration and then render that URL in IFRAME.
    As far as WEBCENTER INTERACTION is concerned i think its seprately licensed and eventhough it's free you need extra Hardware to Install and Configure.
