How to add partition to T400 (Vista 64-bit)?

i just got my T400 yesterday and uninstalled all the crap, updated, and installed all my apps.  the process took several hours.  Then, I used Acronis Disk Director 10 (boot cd) to split the C: partition in two, so that I could move my documents onto a seperate partition.  The split went fine, but when I rebooted, some lenovo rescue and recovery thing came up and supposedly repaired my partition table (haha).  well, after that I wasn't able to login to windows, even when I deleted the new partition i had made.  I had to do a factory reinstall, and am now in the process of updating everything again
does anyone know how I can make a partition without the lenovo rescue and recovery thing freaking out?
thanks!

    Hi Kevinhannan,
No current Photoshop supports this configuration.
Photoshop CS5 was the last version of Photoshop to support Windows Vista.
Photoshop Elements 12 was the last version of Photoshop Elements to support Vista as well.
We no longer offer Photoshop CS5 or Elements 12.
You might look at Amazon to see if you can get either product listed above. Just be careful when purchasing, make sure you know who you're buying from!

create partitioned table and move your data into. You can't create partitions based on common heap-table.

Other people have used CampTune http://www.paragon-software.com/home/camptune/ successfully.
Prior to doing this you should make/have a backup of your OSX and Windows files for safety.

  • How to add partition to Macintosh HD

Got my new macbook air yesterday. Had enabled the file vault. It got stuck and displayed a message to connect to power supply. Even after connecting to power supply, it made no difference. Hence backed up from time machine and tried to restore. The restore warned me that file vault encryption will be removed, I said yes.
But after that, I am stuck with the four options (Time machine restore, Reinstall OS X, Get help online and Disk utility)
My Macintosh HD is not recognised as a destination drive as Disk utility shows it as a logical volume group , there are no volumes under it.
    Please help

Yah I tried that already but I can't drag it down do some reason. I don't know why.

  • Partitioning of table in oracle 10g - How to Add

    Hello Friends ,
Hope you are all fine and doing great.
By the way - I have a quick question on oracle 10g Partitioning of tables...
I have a table with partition as stated below ..
    CREATE TABLE X_ACC_ASSETS_GPC_AGG
    X_ACC_ASSETS_GPC_AGG_RK NUMBER(10) NOT NULL,
    X_AS_OF_DT DATE NOT NULL,
    ACCOUNT_RK NUMBER(10) NOT NULL,
    X_UNIV_ACCOUNT_ID NUMBER(10),
    ACCOUNT_ID VARCHAR2(10 BYTE),
    X_ASSET_TYPE_CD VARCHAR2(6 BYTE),
    X_AUC_AMT NUMBER(18,5),
    X_FIRM_AMT NUMBER(18,5),
    X_ADJ_SRCE_AMT NUMBER(18,5),
    PROCESSED_DTTM DATE
    )PARTITION BY RANGE (X_AS_OF_DT)
    PARTITION P200712 VALUES LESS THAN (TO_DATE(' 2008-01-01 00:00:00', 'SYYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS', 'NLS_CALENDAR=GREGORIAN'))

    )NOPARALLEL;
    My question is :
    1) How to add a partition say P201201 ..
Since I have already stated PARTITION PMAX can I still add partition?
    2) Can I add partition even though the table has data ?
    ==========================
I tried to add partition ..say
ALTER TABLE X_ACC ADD PARTITION P201201 VALUES LESS THAN
    (TO_DATE(' 2012-01-01 00:00:00', 'SYYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS', 'NLS_CALENDAR=GREGORIAN'))
    NOLOGGING

    INITRANS 1
    MAXTRANS 255
    STORAGE (
    INITIAL 64K
    MINEXTENTS 1
    MAXEXTENTS 2147483645
    BUFFER_POOL DEFAULT
    but getting the error ..
"partition bound must collate higher than that of the last partition"
    Thanks/kumar

    You have partitions
    200712
    200812
    200912
    201012
    201112
    PMAX.
so your condition for partition p201112 is '201012-01-01' to '201112-01-01' i.e the values between these two dates will be in partition p201112. and then everything else will be in PMAX. So now you are splitting your pmax.
    alter table X_acc split partition pmax at ( to_date('2012-01-01 00:00:00','YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS', 'NLS_CALENDAR=GREGORIAN') )
into (partition p201201, partition pmax); The condition you have to change. I just showed as an example. It could be the date range between two dates or it could be greater than a date value. It is upto how you want this new partition.

    i have tried
alter table mvr add partition sno

Just Googling for ora-14501 resulted in the following
Adding a partition results in ORA-14501: object is not partitioned

  • SQL Server Distributed Partitioning Views how to add a new node online

We are using distributed partitioning views in SQL Server 2012 Enterprise Edition for scaling out our data across more than one servers. Now we faced to question how to add a new node (server) into the scale outed db servers system without sending the servers
down, so our users will be able to use them during the process as well.
For example we have 4 servers with scaled out data. When we add the new empty server, the CHECKINGs for the partitioning columns should be reorganized. But during the process the partitioning views are not working.
The High Availability, Always On or Failover Cluster approaches seem are not resolve the problems.
So my question is how to add new node online?
    KH

Thank you Erland for the reply.
Yes, it's sounds as possible solution but has some not resolvable nuance in it. Let's say we copied some data from Node5 to new added Node6. Let's assume in Node5 we had data in Table1 with partitioning column's values 100,101,102,103,104,105,106.  Now
we want to copy part of the rows with partitioning column's values 103,104,105,106 from Node5.Table1 into Node6.Table1. With this Node5 will contain less data and will work more quickly (less IO, less CPU usage etc), and the rest data will be contained on
Node6. But because of Node5 is already in use, the Node5.Table1 contains CHECK CONSTRAINT = ParttionColumn should be from 100 up to 106. This is check for Node5. The Distributed Partitioning Views are already using the CHECKs to identify what server should
be used to get data from.
Now when we copied part of the Node5.Table1 rows to Node6.Table1 the views are still using the 103-106 rows from Node5.Table1 because the CHECK points there. Then we include the newest Node6.Table1 in the distributed partitioning views. OK, but we should
set some CHECK on new Node6.Table1 which will be used by views. We can't set intersecting checking like Node5 has CHECK 100-106 and Node6 has CHECK 103-106. We also can't edit Node5 check and set it 100-102 untill the data will be removed in it. But this means
that the data will not be available during the execution.
    So, any ideas ?

  • HT4522 Sounds fine but how do I add partitions in air port utility

Sounds fine but how do I add partitions in air port utility

It is possible to partition the drive, but you have to physically pull the hard drive from the Time Capsule and place it in a separate enclosure for the formatting operation, then reinstall the drive again back in the Time Capsule.
Unfortunately, in addition to a lot of work, this will void the warranty on the Time Capsule.
It is possible to create one or more disk images on the Time Capsule using Disk Utility.
While a disk image is not technically a "partition" in the normal sense, it will allow you to specify and reserve a given amount of space on the drive for the image or images that you create.

  • I just purchase T400 how do I have Lenovo install the Home version of Vista 64-bit on my system.

The T400 I ordered comes with P8400 a 64-bit processor and 4 gigs of ram and I would like my system to take advantage of these two items by going with a 64-bit OS.
I called and they transfered me to Sales department so they could help.  The sales rep told me that the Home Premium 64-bit version of Vista didn't exist.   I know you can order the Lenovo IdeaPad Y530 - 40512YU with Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium 64 as the default standard.
Does anybody know how to have Lenovo install Home Premium 64-bit or send me the disc with it?
    Thank you for any help.

  • How do I partition my MacBook Pro so I can keep Snow Leopard and also install Mountain Lion?

How do I partition my MacBook Pro so I can keep Snow Leopard and also install Mountain Lion?
I want to install the latest OS, but I already know that I will lose a lot of my software unless I can partition the hard drive and have two "bootable" drives.
How do I retain everything I have, partition the drive, then reloa the software I own according to which OS it will work under?

    msmedia wrote:
I do not currently own OS X ML.
I am currently running OS X (10.6.8 Snow Leopard) on my MacBook Pro. It has a 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor. I want to upgrade to Mountain Lion, but many of my software titles will not operate with ML and I cannot afford to replace some of them (Adobe Creative Suite, for e.g.)
After I back-up my HD and then partition the HD, how do I use the back-up to reinstall what I want to the SL partition, and then place the rest on the ML partition.
I have not done what you want to do, so can only offer some general thoughts in support. Take value from the following where you can. No guarantees.
If it was me, I would use a disk clone utility (e.g. Carbon Copy Cloner) to image the existing Snow Leopard disk to an external drive. Then verify that the external drive would boot and run Snow Leopard normally.
I would then purchase and download the Mountain Lion upgrade installer, but not run it. Use Lion Diskmaker to make a bootable USB stick, and perform a clean install of Mountain Lion, replacing the Snow Leopard on your MBP. This way, you make absolutely certain that no third-party drivers or other SL cruft remains to make Mountain Lion unstable. Update to latest ML point release. Fix permissions. Let TimeMachine make a full backup of your ML installation to a different external drive. Then turn of Time Machine.
In Disk Utility, use the + sign at the bottom of the ML partition to add another GUID, HFS+ Journaled partition for Snow Leopard. Resize to taste. Name it differently from your ML partition. Exhale.
Now ideally, you would like to reverse the external clone and put it back into the new SL partition. Then fix permissions. And demonstrate that you can boot into individually stable OS X installations. This would save you alot of work. Resist copying your home directory into ML just yet.
If you cannot successfully achieve the preceding paragraph, you will be faced with a full SL and application reinstall.
The ~/Library contents for SL and ML are sufficiently different that you do not want to mix them. You may want to salvage Safari bookmarks.plist. And, ML created folders in the home directory may have different permissions or ACL settings than in SL. So, my rule of thumb would be to copy folders that you created in SL, and only the contents of matching named OS created folders such as Music, Pictures, Downloads, etc.
For each operating system, you probably want the Time Machine settings to exclude the opposite OS X partition. If you use the same host name in Sharing prefs, then you will mix SL and ML backups on the same Time Machine back up drive. If you use different host names, they will be distinct folders in the Time Machine backups.backupdb and allow discrete restores per host. You may also want to gag Spotlight from indexing the opposite OS X partition.

    The documentation you quote says
Local and global indexes associated with the range-partitioned table remain usable. When you added a partition, the indexes remained usable, just as it said they would:
when checked for the status of the indexes, I can still see them as USABLE.so I'm not sure what the issue is.
btw I'm not sure what you mean by
creating a table and adding local and global partition using the ALTER CommandDid you mean the ALTER TABLE command? What are "local and global partitions" and how did you add them?

  • Add Partition during runtime

How do you add a partition to a table during runtime
The table should grow with every month and as part of an automated process (add partition for new months data )
one should not need to change the table design on a monthly basis ( upgrade on deploy )
Would this be done with a pre mapping process with dynamic pl/sql ?

    Hi,
Otherway of doing is, design staging table kind of thing similiar to your target table, load incremental data ( ie monthly data ) into that...then exchange that data with the target table partition in post mapping process...this way, your design repo metadata is unchanged.......
you may have to think about the index rebuilding .....etc.... and this is theoretical idea suggested in Oracle docs....may be u shd try and let us know.....

does anywone now how to add cambria police to pages?

Cambria is a 'serif font that came with Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007, specifically designed for screen reading and to keep the good integrity of small characters when printing.' ('Police de caractères' is French for 'font'.)
Quit Pages. Double-click the font to examine it and have the option to add it to Font Book. If it's compatible with Macs it will be added to the font list and be available in Pages.
